This review completely left out the IMPORTANT fact that the XReal only does all the AR stuff with Android devices. With iPhone they do absolutely nothing but project the phone screen and play content on a “larger screen”
This comment shows you didn't watch the whole thing. Xreal can do spacial computing with mac, and windows. Is it perfect? No, but it can. Also by comparison, the vision pro won't work without you being an iphone user, so by that the audience is limited.
Nice video as always. You had mentioned one kind of con for the Xreals that you have to connect to the glasses to a phone or beam it, whereas the AVP is one standalone unit. But remember the AVP has a wire to connect to a battery. So doesn't really matter if its a wire to a battery or a wire to a phone, its both similar. Id be interested to see how the 3d/spacial videos compare when looking at the same source video (eg the same mkv movie file).
I tried it out too. Amazing screen but it was so heavy. I couldn't wear that to watch a movie. The Quest is too heavy for a whole movie as well. If I wanna watch something long I'm grabbing the Xreals. No way I'm using a VR headset. I like watching RUclips videos on a headset but full work days and movies is too much.
Great review! I definitely think the weight was always the reason I chose xreal over a headset. I'm glad I did, but I am super bummed with Nebulas performance on Windows. I feel like I was lead to believe that multimonitors would work great with xreal. I do believe that competitors such as Vysor will get thar right this year. Xreal needs to up their game in the software space.
I agree, sadly the windows nebula is not were it should be, though i happen to be one of the few were the software actually works for. There's another company (nimo ) that's making an accessory that's supposed to work with xreal to give multi windows, they told me it should be ready sometime this year.
I have Xreal Air 2 Pro and I love them. I also have the Beam which I don't use much. I'm not a gamer, but basically only want to consume media. I've started using the glasses with the Rokid Station and the experience is truly wonderful.
I'm curious - when you say you're an xreal insider, do you mean that you work for them? That was awesome how you let the Apple rep try out the XReal Air 2! He seemed pleasantly surprised.
What Insider means in this case is they send me new or unreleased product to test and give them feedback on what to improve from a consumer's perspective. But i'm not paid or sponsored by them. And most importantly i can say anything i want about their product on my videos. They sent me the xreal air 2, i paid for the xreal air 1, and the beam.
Right, anyone can order it, but from my understanding it won't give us consumers any additional features just yet. Right now they're hoping developers create programs and apps that will take advantage of the 6dof
Ive got the VSP, The Xreals and the Quest 3 and to me they are different. VSP is year ahead of both when it comes to AR. It is so much cleaner and more vivid than the quest, and the eye tracking is unbelievable. The Quest 3 is amazing for gaming, and I use them all the time for actual work. I have 3 huge monitors and the glitchiness is workable. The Xreals are awesome for a movie or light work, but the reality is they are nowhere near any of the other 2. First of all, they are just as uncomfortable after a while if not more because they really pinch the bridge of your nose. If I had to choose 1, I would go with the quest 3. The graphics are nice. The passthrough is great now, full color and vivid enough and it has a ton more apps than the VSP. Eventually the VSP will get the apps and the price point will drop, but by then Meta will have caught up and so will Xreal with their Ultra 2 (on order baby!). In the end I believe what Zuckerberg said was spot on. Meta will be the Android to Apples VSP, and thats great!
Yeah, meta is definitely not slowing down. I have more faith in meta as xreal seems to be moving a little slow which is understandable as they are a small company who's still new.
To be honest the only Xreal product you could compare is the new Xreal air two ultra ! But then you still need an expensive android phone to operate it in 6dof !
You actually don't need an expensive android phone, just any that supports dp output like a lot of samsung phones. Even ones as old as s8 which you buy for around 120 on Amazon, S21fe for about 200, a51 and so on. Though non of pixels will work because google didn't put dp alt on their phones for some reason.
For me, you are the best in review of xreal products..and by the way xreal is much better AR as you do not need pass through cam to see the world. And imagine if the vision pro is hacked and it is showing you anything but the reality. What will happen??😮😮😢😢
Thank you for that, and yeah i love that i can easily see the rest of the world unlike the vision pro. And yeah, hacked reality is interesting and scary.
Great review and love your authenticity. I have an Nreal glasses set and I also bought the Beam, but I can’t really figure out how or what the beam does. I also have concerns about security with the apps due to the fact that they are not the actual browsers and clients, I worry about credentials and privacy being violated with the apps on the Nreal system. Thanks for a great video,
As far as the beam, just youtube search what it can do, i have one on my channel. And when it comes to privacy concerns, there's not much difference between nebula's browser and google. Or just about anything these days, they all collect some kind of private information on us. Apple, google, and Facebook have gone through multiple privacy lawsuits, so that tells you something. I recommend not using the browser when it comes to really private stuff.
At this point you are the Xreal guy. Even with your struggle to get footage this turned out to be a great review. Really appreciating the content. Keep it up!
Comparing very different things? Full hd glasses with 4k 6dof gpu device? Ps: i not like apple vision, prefer quest 3. But xreal and vision pro it absolutely different class devices!
I went with XReal Air 2 Pro .. no regrets .. definitely looking forward to seeing what's next with AR Glasses .. VR Headsets are too obtrusive, heavy , bulky, and a bit too much to travel with .. AR Glasses more compact, less obtrusive , more comfortable and lighter weight, not difficult to travel with, and you don't look like an alien .. lol 🤣🤣 AR Glasses for the win 2024 👍🏾
Why would xreal abandon the Nreal light glasses they have 6Dof i can pen up to five screens anywhere in my home using the nebula app and they stay in place if i leave the room. instead they want to make an air 2 ultra make no since to me when we already have the Nreal light.
Yes, but not inside the app. You can still do stuff like watch videos while doing stuff on your phone, but those things won't show in the nebula app if that makes sense.
Meta is working on a next generation Pro device but there's no word on when it will arrive. Both Mark Zuckerberg and Andrew Bosworth from Meta have commented about the Vision Pro and how future Meta headsets will have similar or better eye tracking and resolution compared to the Vision Pro. Only the future will really show us what this competition will produce across the market.

If you use the beam, you can mirror your iphone in 3dof/AR space.

Very good point, that battery wire made it feel like the same thing. Spacial video looks better just by the avp having a wider fov.
Love your vids man, really informational for the XREAL series of AR glasses and for other AR/VR glasses. Keep it up!
Thanks fam 💪🏾 🙏🏾
Thank you for the comparison. One question: are the borders of the XReal still blurred?
Thank you.
Please Try the XReal Air 2 Ultra
I will as soon as i'm able to.

Yup
Great video. Just what I tought.
Are you going to buy the Xreal Air Ultra?
I'm crossing my fingers hoping xreal sends me one haha
@@KingKola_They totally should. You're doing a lot to help them get the word out on what their products can do.

Btw you had a few audio issues with two audio tracks playing at once.
Yeah i noticed that after editing, my original files got corrupted so i couldn't easily fix that. I gotta make sure that doesn't happen again.
Awesome review as always. It'll be great when Nebula on Windows is at 90% all there.
Thank you, and i agree.
I have Xreal Air 2 Pro and I love them. I also have the Beam which I don't use much. I'm not a gamer, but basically only want to consume media. I've started using the glasses with the Rokid Station and the experience is truly wonderful.
How come you don't use your beam? It's a better version of rokid station due to the body anchor.

The X real Ultra R for consumers I ordered mine they're coming in March definitely going to be a Vision Pro killer

Just got the XReal 1, and to but that XBeam just to lock the scream down sucks, but so far it puts in work the oled quality is super crisp

Xreal just needs to upgrade update the displays on the glasses to something like on what is on the Bigscreen beyond headset, to improve FOV/resolution

I agree, they should've polished xreal light and not abandoned it.
Question - on the xreal nebula android app, do you have access to your typical phone utility apps like texting, calendar, stopwatch, etc?
Yes, but not inside the app. You can still do stuff like watch videos while doing stuff on your phone, but those things won't show in the nebula app if that makes sense.
did u try virtue xr? could u do a review
No i didn't, they were out of my budget the last time i tried to get one.

Hi Kola what is the app you use to watch movie at 6:57? I cant find it in my nebula app. is it in the beam? Thanks
It's built into the nebula app, it's called TV, then inside it you select media player.
