    I love the Landcruiser! We put our order in last September 2023 and finally took delivery 2 days ago. We have the 1958 edition, great build quality.

      That’s a great rig, and we love the cloth seats!

    The Land Cruiser 1958 offers a more refined driving experience and superior handling compared to the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, complemented by a reputation for exceptional reliability. While the Ford and Jeep models specialize in off-road capabilities, the Land Cruiser excels as a versatile vehicle capable of handling various driving conditions. I just purchased the Land Cruiser 1958 and love it! It's hands-down the best value in the Land Cruiser/GX lineup. The fuel economy is fantastic; I'm getting 25 mpg on the highway and 22 combined, a huge improvement from my old vehicle's 14 mpg. Upgrading from a 2012 Tacoma, the 1958 Land Cruiser feels luxurious. Even the screen size, which I initially thought would be too small, is fine. I also prefer the cloth seats over the leather or pleather options. And the hard plastics with the Land Cruiser logo are great!

    Any updates on the premium gas situation? That might be a dealbreaker with the 4Runner for us if the LC “requires” it.

  • @Balthasar_Gelt463
    @Balthasar_Gelt463 6 месяцев назад +1

    If it didn’t require premium Toyota would have said so. No car company wants you to use premium because they would love to advertise it uses regular, unless it really does require it.

    It would be nice if they eventually came out with a non-hybrid, non-premium required, and still avail in non-3 row version. Doesn’t have to be fast (ie doesn’t have to be the TT from the GX).

    Can’t understand why Toyota didn’t develop a modern straight six for its truck line
    A four might be ok for a Tacoma or 4 runner as they came form 4cylinder Toyota pickup roots
    But a landcruiser has never been a 4 cylinder platform
    The fact is the current 4L v6 4Runner is more of a landcruiser then this thing ever will be
    They basically grafted the highlander rear body onto a cool looking front end and called it a day
    Lazy and cynical

    • @normanli7085
      @normanli7085 5 месяцев назад

      But to be fair, this is marketed as LC in places such as the US, Canada, and Europe. Everywhere else is known as the prado, and it always had a 4 cylinder, whether it was gas or diesel. The only v6 it had was from the 4runner overseas in the previous generation.

  • @tommyistommy

    Toyota has lost their minds. 8 inches of ground clearance, slow, small fuel tank, no useful cargo space, less than a Rav4 actually, priced at the same or higher than the GX....for what exactly? Less towing, worse warranty, significantly slower, no more fuel range with tiny tank, worse paint, worse interior, worse dealer network...again what is the purpose of this Land Cruiser? Imagine if it didnt have the hybrid system and cost 10k less....oh wait that's going to be the 4runner. Hopefully? Idk the whole TGNA-F platform is pretty disappointing. Its heavy, riddled with issues, strange compromises with interior space, fuel tanks, exhaust, high costs and concerning frame design where the rails change sizes multiple times. I can see these rotting out well before the payments end.
    I have no problem with this being a prado, this is just awfully equipped in america with a truly outrageous price. Should be 10-20k less, no hybrid system. Hoping the 4runner ends up closer to that mark.
