- SR 34067 Tangmere would be the motive power for the 4th Northern Belle of 2024 from Telford Central to Carlisle with 34067 joining at Carnforth for the climb over Shap. Flew solo today so stayed local so we see Tangmere up above Singleton Park ( in a legal position) just before the Flask Train headed South but it was hard to hear her due to the blowing cylinder . The smell in the cutting was fantastic after Tangmere passed .
Nice shot Steve.
I'll vouch for legality, I know the location well 😉
Thanks for sharing.
Great video Steve :)
Excellent video Steve. Tangmere performing well as always. The smell must of been amazing. Kind regards C&A
Thanks C&A, must admit the smell was incredible 👍
Tangmere back in action, super sights and sounds. 🤓 Well done Steve 🤓
Thanks Anthony, sadly the drain cylinder blowing killed any engine noise 😟
Great sound Stephen!
Thanks for the kind comment as it’s really appreciated 👍
Spot on Steve. Not seen that shot before.👍
Thanks David , did it a few years back so thought I’d give it another shot.
Nice clips Steve, unfortunate with the blowing cylinder especially with it being a quiet loco
Tell me about it Austin 😂Wasn’t sure where the flask train was so I got lucky 👍
Nice one Steve, worth giving it another go at this location but the blowing cylinder muffled the quiet beat from the Spam can, cheers 👍
Thanks Nige , like you say the cylinder drowned out any chance of hearing Tangmere working sadly 😞😂
Well done Stephen well done with the camera work as well i am really looking forward to seeing your next video. When will be on RUclips bye for now Philip
Thanks Philip , pleased you enjoyed it 👍
I was on this with my wife :)
Very interesting video!!
Glad you think so 👍Thanks for the kind comment 😊
You were lucky there with the flask train passing,
Thanks Alistair, was watching Traksy nervously thinking I was going to get bowled 😂
Sounds like the piston drain valve is open
showing for the same again this coming Saturday...so obviously fixable
Looks to be at full chat . Was there any Diesel assistance ?
Thanks Keith, don’t think the 57 was helping as I remember 👍
@TheStephengthompson, or it was being used for head end power
