Two smokey 47's and a Spam Can, what more could you ask for? I finished my apprenticeship on the S&C in the mid 70's It snowed at Blea Moor in the middle of June, a few hours later it was back to a warm sunny day. Happy times.
To be honest you get as startled as me when trains horn but I guess that is something I can relate to you with then! also nice video with a good location for these trains!
The diesel is there to provide power to the coaches for heating and lights, it is also there incase the steam loco fails and has to be rescued and occasionally it pushes when the steam loco is struggling,.
That blowing cylinder-cock on Tangmere is not unusual, unfortunately. And you can bet that the driver was really p-----d off having to listen to that all day, without being able to do anything about it. Some good filming here, thank you.
Those 47's were lovely and great shot of Tangmere from the bridge. Lovely, sunny day in Cumbria 😊
Lovely catch double 47s and jumping horns again 😄
Thanks! 👍
Classic Class 47 departure. You can smell that exhaust smoke!

Yes the train horns always make me jump 😂
Cracking captures and a lovely day for it.
What is it with Carnforth locos and leaking draincocks though?!!
Thank you!
Agreed, and the leaky cylinder drain cock could be heard even before the she rounded the bend as she sped through Penrith! 😀
Great catch 👍
Thank you!
Amazing Video 😊 I got her just at Kidderminster
Thanks, glad you saw it aswell!
@@TRAlNVlDEOS your welcome 🙏 I had only just finished up wrapping a video on the Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala
Yes there some be more steam special but I have noticed many a they are being pushed with the Diesel be behind is this true or not?

@@TRAlNVlDEOS yes okay but the point is will that not effect the steam going though the piston Bill
@@billmoore1936 as far as I am aware no and it is the steam loco doing the majority/all of the work.
@@TRAlNVlDEOS okay I agree with you on that because I can remember all this was my hat day has I was born 1949 so remember it very well indeed Bill
Very nice
Thank you! 👍

Not so common on Bulleids, but it's a characteristic of LMS locos
Thanks! 👍
