Davy is a wealth of knowledge. Scratch his brain as much as possible while he's there. His skill set is very specialized and they usually charge a wack for consultations. You're so lucky to have him there - as a keen gardener, I'm very jealous!

Hi Stephany, what a lovley channel you have, i stumbled on it by accident. an guess what, we are practicly neighbors!, my parents own a house just up the hill in Chezeau Moreau! We can see your roof from our atelier!, my parents have had it for over 20 years, and i walk past your chateau whenever i have the change when visiting from holland. I never knew who lived there, till now! lovley to see all the lovley surroundings, and fianlly the inside as well!

Jo Davidson Every time Isabelle is Skyping Percy, I feel so awful that they are not together. He needs to come to the Chateau so everyone can pamper the two of them and admire their lovely love story. Poor Percy alone in South Africa.
South Africa are not allowing international flights until Feb 2021, unless it's for repatriation and that date could be extended 😔😪
Glad to hear Dan talking more and sharing ideals. He and Salmar are men with work ethics.
After watching Michael’s wonderful vlog from the party, it was so fun to see Stephanie’s version! These people know how to play as hard as they work. And now there’s a Dream Team for the garden, so happy for Isabelle to have such talented help. Can’t wait to see the final decision on the wallpaper-so many beautiful possibilities

🌱 Can't wait to see the garden trellis walkway he will build with 💪Selmar. 💚Love, love, love shady spots outdoors to sit & wander😉. Picture the ladies in fancy dress from a couple of centuries ago promenading about there too. It will definitely bring the overall symmetry the area is missing from that earlier age too.
Extra wood or not, I like Dan's notion of doing the frame in metal. That would likely last longer than wood & require lower maintenance. Even Davy agreed that it would work. Although the material is not traditional, it could be a very interesting addition as long as it followed a more historic design. 🛠 Guess Selmar wants to show off his woodworking skills with the new tools.
Hope Davey draws up some landscape plans for the property. Looks like they need to take copious notes while he is there. He seems to have a lot of valuable info to impart on how to best shape the garden in terms of pruning & plantings too.
Love the planning in the garden. Can’t wait to see the results.
What I was suggesting as a interior designer that you take your inspiration from the hotel and create a border with the new smaller version. This may be created as frames or panels throughout the room. As I mentioned you may age is this new wallpaper with tea stain

Making grape juice is easy, just bring the grapes to a boil, simmer untill they’re all broken and strain them. Voilá!
Oh and if you’d think you’d end up with just a little juice, it’s highly concentrated... 😊
Stephanie said they had a juicer, so they could probably make fresh grape juice, and maybe even mix it with apples for a nice juice mix.

It was lovely to see the ladies☄glammed☄up & all the other creative costumes like the sexy graduate & 80s aerobic dancer. Ryan was handsome in his 3-pc suit too -- & Selmar always looks dashing. Michael, Davey, & Benjamin(?) were a bit low key, but they're an attractive trio.😍 Love a dance party💃! 🎈Yay!🎈

The new peacock wallpaper is a much lighter blue. I think the room would lose richness and graphic punch due to the lower contrast. I hope the other brand of wallpaper is more saturated in color. And I agree that the larger scale suits the room--it's grander.
Instead of a cone, have you thought of making it a chess piece? A castle with half a dozen crenelations around the top would be wonderful and in keeping with the theme! And if a frame was needed to "shape" it, Dan could weld it!
The half paneling and picture rail is a brilliant idea, It will bring more architectural interest into the room and cut down on the sq. footage of the costly wallpaper. I would go with the blue Peacock wallpaper, it is in keeping with the branding of the chateau.
about the arbor and welding, we call that historically adequate. Work with what you have by reusing what has been laying about for years as an excellent advertisement for recycle,reuse,repurpose.
♻️ All about being sustainable & using the material on hand🌎. Think the metal would be fine if Davey was able to help Dan come up with a suitable design plan. It really would last longer & require considerably less labor or maintenance over wood.

Well now I fancy an hour or two at my local material and wall paper shop. Making plans for my make believe Castle. That I do not own in real life, but do in my dreams.

Do the trick with the borders like the man that decorated the beautiful hotel said. Wherever there is an off shape, use your wall paper borders to decorate with for the bedroom!!

Stephanie! I love your choice for the curtains!!! It will compliment the wallpaper without over shadowing it! It will make the whole room just POP! Love that 1st sample with the swirl design. It really compliments the design in the wallpaper perfectly! And the reverse pattern. It will be amazing!!!!

I love that room Stephanie! While I am more likely to join you as a volunteer... So that wouldn't be my room... Sadly.... When I do travel and stay in B&B's, I look at absolutely everything! The room of a B&B is not merely a place to sleep, it's an experience, so yeah I'd definitely be checking out the wallpaper and drapes if it were me.

The welded uprights can be wrapped, or sleeved, with wood. Covering even just the upright portions would be beautiful, as the vines will cover the extended roof parts and the overall look will be very esthetically pleasing. Grapevines are gorgeous and are very fitting for the gorgeous garden and Chateau.
Fabulous fun for breakfast viewing! Loved everyone's party costumes and Hanni, colour co-ordinated with her drink, looked terrific channeling her inner Olivia Newton-John! It looks like all the next projects are well in the works, can't wait to see the walkway after Selmar and Dan work their magic, along with the plans Stephanie has for bedroom wallpaper, paneling and curtains..... now dare I look at the world the news... my thoughts are with all those on the west coast of the US - fire is something Australians know too well... 🧡🦘

In the American South there is an old saying, " Too poor to paint, too proud to white wash." Well, I would "white wash" that wallpaper, then match it up on the rough wall. Or you could do faux paneling again and remove some lower paper panels and fill in the missing bit. The staining and the aged look of the paper is not that bad!! Just think of the money to be saved and put into curtains and bedding.

I love that wallpaper and have been considering the version in brown on blue for my apartment. The original is actually blue and red an a French copy of a typical Balinese fabric! If you’ve been to Bali and find the original colorway online you’ll see! It’s SO Bali and a lovely print!

Societies are changing. Global unrest is everywhere. Lalande's positive energy has given me a break. The pandemic, west coast fires, threats of evacuation, heavy smoke, and disturbing news events have brought us to start packing. If there were a fortress offering the safety of Leland near us, we'd head for it! You are so fortunate to have this chateau! It is beautiful and can be made as secure as a bunker!

Yes, people are feeling it so close to me...it's been somewhat of a dark year and I think that's how this channel, this Chateau, these people, have captivated viewers hearts and affections so quickly. It gives one hope and a lighter, brighter feel to the day (or night). May 2021 be better for all.

Would putting up a wood paneling and shelf at the 4-5 foot' height which would make a perfect place for placing art and cut the amount you need for wall paper, you don't want to place your art so tall that you strain your neck to see the art. Love the window treatments you choose. Thanks for posting.
