As an Engineer at JCB here in uttoxeter, seeing you guys appreciate our product (a product I had the pleasure to work on for a few months), fills me with a lot of pride. great review, great handover from tyler there too, BLOW MY MIND
JCB are not reliable.
You must work harder.
@@peterppp694 in what ways?
JCB is the heart and sole of our specialized excavation company. we do septic systems, natural gas, propane mains and underground lines. Water mains underground water lines, geothermal, heat fusion repairs. JCB is king, thank you sir for your work at JCB
Just discovered your channel. Good job. With regards to the JCB product line. Like you, I was somewhat skeptical when I first came across a JCB CTL a few years back. A short time latter, I had the opportunity to operate one of their skid-steers at a friends job site. Within a half hour, I was so impressed with it that within 3 weeks, I leased my own. I now own 3 JCB teleskids. I also own 2 JCB site dumpers and just recently purchased their new 100C-2 (10 ton) excavator with the new 4 way push blade. With it's off-set boom and that new blade, it's a dream to operate. I find that for some reason, JCB is kind of the construction industry's best kept secret. I'm an out spoken advocate for the JCB product line. Most of the time, when I chat with someone who trash talks JCB, they've never operated any of their equipment. Theirs is truly an uninformed opinion.
Years ago I worked for an earth works company in Adelaide Aust.. Backhoes mostly. We had Massey's John Deer, Case, Cat & JCB. The JCB's just keep going. Hard to break em. All the other brands spent time in the fixit shop, Cat was the worst offender. The mechanics new Cat inside and out, they spent so much time on them. When a JCB finally came in with a broken pin, the mechanics fixed the pin & spent the rest of the day familiarising them selves with it in case they ever had to do extensive repairs. They had an incredible performance record over 30 years ago.
Jcb has come a long way their new lineup across the board is amazing. Love their new skidsteers to game changers
My grandad new the founder of Jcb , my grandad ownes a case dealership but he has a few Jcb machines
Blow my mind! JCB has been growing on me for the past few years, always been a cat man but these days more people are releasing higher quality things. More options is always a good thing keeps making machines better for the operators!
You are so right. It’s about the operators now and the cab and comfort as well as other things like fuel and hydraulics and power. Great comment
Great review, would be cool if you had went through serviceability and the engine also would be cool if they let you demoed one of their backhoes with vertical stabilizers to do a comparison to the style the cat uses. JCB is one of my favorite construction companies.
Congrats on the new truck, Blow my mind
“Blow my mind “ ... and you’re right, that would look fantastic with the KWC logo on her💪🏼🇺🇸🇨🇦
I have been running JCB for over 32 years. Had a few issues but always had excellent customer service & a great re sale price . Wouldn't look at another brand for our ops
Blow my mind! It definitely blew my mind. Can’t wait to see the video on Friday! Have a great week!
Blow my mind!: Would love some Ken White Construction Hats!!
That's great, I've run komatsu and cat for 16yr and have had the chance to run a jcb mini in the last couple years, and haven't been disappointed! I started with the same instinct as you and can't find much negative to say. From operator or mechanical pov. I think they're a real contender
"Blow my mine!" I've been a JCB fan for about 10 years due to running one of their skidsteers on a jobsite. The side entry door was a big game changer for me on the skid steer. Then they came out with the teleskid and that was another game changer! Now I'm in the market for an excavator and JCB is top of my list!
I love jcb it's a great manufacture, blow my mind !!!
Hi Ken. They fantastic machines. I have been down to Rocester, England and done the tour of the factory has it's only two hours drive from my house.
blow my mind another great vid jcb has been a british company since 1945
I work at valley, always gotta wave when I see your trucks drive by the shop!
JCB have really stepped up their game with the new X series. But then so have CAT so they were due an upgrade. They get a lot of bad press but my experience is they run fast and the backup is very good if you do get an issue. So cant complain really. Good review. We need more honest reviews of plant on youtube.
Blow My Mind!!! nice to hear that jcb builds their own engines
Your videos both the content and editing/layout is so much better really enjoying them
I did my trackhoe training on a js145 back in October I passed and I like JCB
Dude you really need more subscribers! Your content is amazing keep it up!😃
Thank you!
I’ve owned a bunch of JCB excavators since 2008 they are the only machine I’ll buy
I work at the factory were these are built and they are a good machine
you didn't show the engine or hydraulics is it easy to work on like checking oils and filters can you get parts in the us or do you have to wait
Blow my mind! Its nice to try new equipment...im used to a bobcat. Since my dads a dealer lol worked monster jam and arena cross and they had me in a brand mew cat....jesus like a million times better but still found some flaws...keep em.coming bro!
Watching from Scotland. JCB excavators are the most common machines in the UK. Great improvemens with the X-Series compared to the older JS-Series previous. It is also availible in a 14 tonne excavator. Check out the JCB HYDRODIG wheeled excavators
Will do.
I’m glad that I’m seeing more and more JCB, excavators, tractors, tele-handlers, and skid/steers in use today in the U.K.
I follow a few farming channels down in the US where they have demo JCB teleskids, seem like nice units as well. Would love to see you demo a JCB 4CX-15 SUPER backhoe. I think they look badass. If I win the Lottomax I'd get one and just dig holes at my cottage for fun.
JCB actually makes some great equipment. We only have JCB backhoes
Always love the videos and instagram posts!!!!!!
Just found your channel. Great vid. Nice to hear good things about JCB's. For some reason they seem to get a bad rap in North America which I find astonishing. They are brilliant machines..
Blow my mind! man the JCB looks good!
Does anyone know witch sunglasses he´s wearing in the video?
Little bit late but, blow my mind :) Hello from Finland. I just found your channel and it is very interesting to a digger man. This JCB video was very good info for me too. I have always been skeptical these JCB machines, but last year i test drive JCB 145 wheeled excavator and it was the best wheeled excavator that i ever driven. Planing to replace my Kobelco sk 230 to a new machine and thinking JCB 245 X is one option. Just wondering, how the hydraulic will work with tiltrotator. Here in Finland you dont see any excavators like under 30 tons without tiltrotations. Tooth bucket is also history, i used my own like 4 years a go. Really happy that you tell important specs from a machines like a fuel economy, because for me its means a lot. Starting this weekend to view these videos.
I like the layout of the cab the Volvo ec480el that I run. It is a pain in some areas like the a/c. Still haven't been able to figure out how to get cold air and a lot of regeneration problems. Blow my mind
First 2 minutes!! Taylor I have been watching since like the first video I think. I can’t wait for my merch to come! Taylor if you see this how long have I been subscribed for? Edit: Blow my mind!
You’ve been around before I even had 1000 subs man. Won’t ever forget that Riley. Thank you
What's your favorite exavator brand
You should definitely demo a new hitachi. I run them everyday and I absolutely love them. Would really like to hear your opinion. Blow my mind
JCB will be a touch better in most areas but hitachi running the Isuzu engine is a key point. Even though the JCB engines have been great for us we never touch the Isuzu engine!
Can anybody tell me where to switch the contol pattern on this particular machine
Are you selling the Komatsu?
This jcb is beautiful I hope to get one like it more less mine x
Do you have a tooth bucket for the cat backhoe and looks like it time for a JCB breaker
What does the tins mean when you talk about excavators, and how do you know the tons on a machine?
The weight of the machine
Blow my mind where do you get ur dirt from that you were moving around with the jcb
He had a dirt business. He sells that.
The paint looks good and the speed of the machine is good, cab is very quiet and very decent. BLOW MY MIND!!!!
Exactly, great summary
What is the equipment place beside your yard? (The one that could be seen from the cab view). Komatsu Dealer?
Yes Komatsu Dealer, the irony
@@KenWhiteConstruction at least you should have great service. Lol. Do a lot tour there.
The grandson of JCB also manufacturers buses ,wrights buses
Taylor, you blow our mind, that is a nice machine not sure if they sell them in the state's, take care.
Great Channel, I only do demolition work. Depends on what State and County you are working in when it comes to landfills. Some landfills will take everything. Farther you get from civilization the more they will take. I found areas that do not even recycle.
What’s it like tracking and slewing/working at the same time?
Pretty good, better than my Komatsu
ya they good when ter new give it to years and it wont even lift the bucket
Jcb one of my favorite to work with definitely the new series
But how well does it fine grade 🤔
Like shit
@@aaronschwartz2584 how do you know?
Blow my mind....that JCB was more impressive than I thought as well, never been in one & never really cared to either but they seem to have a put some thought & quality in their design( must of had an operator design the cab & controls not an engineer lol) like to see a review of a Case machine pop by Brissons' place off the hwy & talk him into loaning you some equipment for a bit lol! Or was he the reason you couldn't post the clip of the Case stuff awhile ago? Cheers!
Working on it right now. Lots of improvement with buttons fancy screen and wee fridge. But whats most important for an operator is a comfy seat and room in a cab. Less room for a legs even fully back the cab is smaller im on 14tonner. The top of the seat os weirdly bent backwards so to rest your head jou need to bent yoir neck back. Just wander if any of designers try spend 10h in it.
One of my friends house burnt down a bit ago when only him an his sister was home
We have a 20 year old JCB 940 rough terrain forklift that still runs great. Have heard some people gripe about JCB quality and the electronics failing but our old fork has been 100% reliable. Blow my mind.
Your old 940 is mechanical, that's why its still running, the newer electronics fitted to jcb's are junk and kill the machine.
Whats the def for if theres no dpf filter? Something dont make sense
Def is more for the scr and catalytic reactions than the dpf
JCB Dieselmax Engine runs clean enough to not have to warrant a dpf to meet tier 4 legislation 😁
Fan from Sweden here, is it possible to buy one of your hats?
I definitely have to agree with you. We just bought a JCB Teleskid this spring and I absolutely love the color. And it's a beautiful machine to run. Edit: "Blow my mind"
Lol agreed, the colour just pops
@@KenWhiteConstruction I honestly think JCB is under estimated
Blow my mind smooth looking
The bigger JCBs have been good for a while, driven plenty of 130s and 220s and they've all been really nice to drive, reliable, fuel efficient etc. I think a lot of the bad reputation comes from the smaller stuff, they've made some junk mini diggers.
Blow My Mind! Our fleet is all JCB which we lost in hurricane Ian . We are currently rebuilding the fleet and adding this machine due to the amount of demo we now have contracted to do.
Does it have a 'beeb' sound when moving
Probably. All excavators do
You can turn the travel alarm off or on through the machines display
Blow my mind, I have heard from others that their engines don't last long and their dealership/parts service is bad, that is what I heard in the states
They started production of the 4.4L around 2006. The very first ones had Delphi fuel pump that the gear slipped on the shaft putting timing off. Was a pretty simple fix but time consuming. As soon as Delphi realized there was an issue they fixed it and JCB stood behind the ones that were already in machines. It has replaced the Perkins 4.4L. The JCB has much better cold starting and low end torque. And has had way better longevity. The 4.4 is up there with the Komatsu and Isuzu for longevity.
Have anyone here had a display issue with the new X series? My 140X display just stopped working, and it is 4k€ to replace with a new one.
You want to have a look at the job 1cxt it is a beast
Have you tried an Hitachi yet?
The jcb is my best machinery. The way they look and Operate and the colour gose very well I think jcb is the best machine going I could watch them all day and not get bored well done jcb and the head quarters for building a great Machine
I highly agree with this. They are very under appreciated
I have the 140xlc it’s nothing short of amazing
How is the boom power? We just got a 150x lcd and everything is fast and powerful except the book. It lags behind everything, cant even lift the machine up to clean the tracks. Barely lifts a heavy 1 yard bucket
you didn't mention the quick hitch override feature nor the fact if you push the excelarator dial down it gives you more power, also the seat has cooler as well as heated function. did that blow your mind.
I didn’t know that, awesome features!
@@KenWhiteConstruction thank you very much for replying, something else about the x series machines you can adjust the levers there is a screw on the front left of the seat that raises and lowers them by two inches.
I like jcb skid steers even though I’ve never ran one, hopefully one day I will #blowmymind
Mr Churchill My Dad just replaced his 257 Cat with a 190T JCB. His reason was for the side entry cab. The visibility is better than others, almost like what you get in a front end loader. The only knock is you have to lean forward to see your attachment close to the ground.
I have a 13 ton jcb 20 years only tracks and pumps done
Blue my mind interesting machine what is the service period on it you missed that top off that you should open engine compartment and show us the connectors pipes engines little technical a part of that pretty good content and video thanks
Oh damn whe have one to and we like it but the old atlas just kept going how much dirt or shit you have in the bucket it just kep pulling
Great video my man! Hey if you guys are looking for a nice excavator try the next gen cat 330. But have a Great weekend!
Trying to decide between the 330 and 325. Obviously very different machines but unfortunately got to choose 1 or the other.
@@digstowndiesel yes man, check out there 325 video it’s up on his channel now! The Cat 325 is a great machine! But hey all of cat machines are nice!
Take it on site to work like pulling grade etc and they forever breaking down but each to there own a surpose
Blow my Mind Great Video Ken
WHAT happened to the THUmb ?
Blow my mind got to spend it to make it
I actually test drove one last summer. Not bad but not great. Small things cup holder totally wrong spot... Pattern changer good luck finding it... Tiny switch in fuse panel. Next dealer network is very small in Canada and parts aren't always available...resale value isn't there much rather a Volvo
I purchased a JCB 3CX14 backhoe a few years ago...it was a very nice hoe, but i went through 5 DEF head sensors...I had to fight with them to cover the 4th and 5th DEF heads that failed because it was no longer under any warranty, but they eventually admitted that the DEF heads have been faulty and replaced them under warranty. I like their products but i probably wouldn't buy one again unless they ironed out that issue.
Blow my mind!!!!! New truck new truck new truck
Lol shhhhh
I just rented the exact machine with a hyd thumb today. I have it for a week. Stay tuned!
I want to drive a new cat 323 design at my farm please let me know if you guys have a question
"Blow my mind " Love Your Channel! Mark
Should have showed how the Lights are👍
BLOW MY MIND!!!!
The counter weight is the reason for the great balance, try a zero back to back with this and u will b seasick,🇬🇧
That's all I run is jcb
Blow my mind!
Dude, you don't drive an excavator! Lol Full disclosure, you are an AMAZING CRAZY operator! Ha
You never bet a JCB.
A brilliant British produced machine
Nope.. assembled in uk from foreign parts
Demo the new cat 325 it's a zero swing trust me you'll love it
I will have to do that
Everyone loves a new machine.
good Jcb crane
Blow my mind!!!!!!
Blow my mind!!!
Blow my mind!
Blow my mind !good video
Smoother hydraulics than Komatsu???
Close. JCB’s excavators are very smooth. When it comes to komatsu its all about longevity, there is not an excavator out there that will touch its reliability.
