If i put a hard drive from an older laptop into this as an upgrade. Will this one then run like the other one did
My hhd does not show up now and only the new ssd shows is that normal?
i took my ssd from my other laptop and tried putting it in my spin 3, it gives me " no bootable device found".
went in bios and there's no options to choose from under "boot". also no UEFI or legacy options to change. in not sure if i need to upgrade my limited bios. Any help is appreciated.

@@JLJarina not really, after that i got a new ssd, and tried to clone my hdd. And it finally shows its damaged, basically failing.
Then i tried to return the hdd into the acer laptop and it wont even boot anymore because the drive corrupted the os system.
Now what i surely know is, i need a bios update and new windows 10 on the new ssd i got. And should work.
@@bassel.m2988 I was planning to upgrade to ssd as well. What do you think went wrong? What was the brand of your ssd and what software did you use to clone your old one?
@@JLJarina so i got a 500gb crusial ssd. I used them before by far the best in the market.
I used a orica cloning dock which worked on all my clones before.
In terms of software, i use AOMEI. After my orica cloning dock failed to clone i tried to clone them using AOMEI which detected that my hdd is damaged. ( its when i started to asure my hdd is the issue).
I'm sure my acer spin 3 needs a bios update because its very limited, none of the legacy/ UEFI settings are visible in my bios, also there's no boot menu what so ever.
This bios is shit. All i can do on it is change date/time and configure what the hard buttons do. And that's it for my bios.
