Sharon Neptune I wasn’t born until the mid 80s, but I watched this with my mom and I love it still. . . I get much of my humor from Tim Conway. . . Later from watching MST3K, In Living Color, and Mad TV.
JB I also loved in living color, and Mad TV. I used to like SNL ( with original cast, and then Eddie Murphy, Joe Piscapo, David Spade, Adam Sandler, Tim Meadows, and Chris Farley). But, as of late it has joined the “ politically woke” writing that makes you lose interest in a show. Oh when I said Original Cast Of SNL, I meant the John Belushi era. I know Eddie Murphy and the rest came later.
@@ronniewilliams2465 I think you are a bot. Till Beck Bennet was there it was still a magic. Hilarious show with Will Ferrell, James Fallon and a bunch of skillful actors/actresses. This show cracks me up.I watched it when it first aired to it's ending and the reruns and now. The cast and guests were the best . So funny then and now all I will say is I'm so glad we had this time together just to have a laugh or sing a song and the rest up to the tug of her ear lobe. Gosh, I was such a dumba$$ when I was a kid lol..I absolutely hated it when my Mom would watch The Carol Burnett Show! 35 years later I'm finding myself binge watches her shows and laughing my A$$ off!! Man, how one changes over the years 😊
One if the beautiful things about this show is that as I child I loved the humor, but had no idea of the entendres. It seemed really fun and innocent. 😁
The incense price check made me laugh. When my Mom was in high school she went to the store to buy tampons. The guy at the register held the tampons in the air and screamed, "PRICE CHEEEEEECK!" I think she died that day. XD
When I worked at the supermarket it was the controversy of the year when they suddenly allowed tampon sales in the grocery store instead of only at the drug store next door.
One day buying sanitary products won't be embarrassing. And they won't be taxed as luxury items. And while I'm dreaming, I might as well wish for a pony...
You can buy here videos of her show which is what I've done but great way to see them is on RUclips meanwhile. Don't lament over things you have to control over.....just enjoy what you can!
The golden Tina Fey years (early 2000s) was the best and had the weirdest skits. Maya Rudolph, Will Forte, Fred Armisen up to the Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig time was golden.
After they all left, it’s sucked. It’s like 5 bland white guys took over with the same exact voices/ faces and they all suck at writing skits. Instead of making up weird characters, they just make fun of how “nerdy” they are. . . They should just write for that shitty show about fake nerds called Big Bang Theory for the idiot masses. They suck so much.
Loved the whole ensemble! Picture a team of All-Pro’s! And when they invited guests, they usually fitted right in. I remember many times eating dinner, and watching this show, and almost choking laughing, as a kid. Now that I understand a lot more, it really kills me! And I really, really love “ The Family.” Genius move, Carol wanting Eunice for herself, And Vicki as Momma. They just go for it. Like Professional Wrestling in Drama Class. The Verbalized insults and assaults! The very example of Dysfunctional! My Mom and Me saw Vicki/ Momma live at the Casino two years ago. She bruised my guts! We laughed till we cried. Thanks Carol for getting Vicki on your show. And love, love Harvey and Tim. And Carol is a genius of funny!
Reminds me of how fun grocery shopping used to be. Loved it when they called out for a price check !!! It was really fun when you went on Christmas Eve and the staff was already celebrating , you never knew what you might hear !
John w ( If I May ) I just finished watching that clip. They were a hysterically funny group. SNL without the trash talk. I doubt my parents “got it “ but they sure laughed a lot. Hmmm! Nah! Prayers for you and yours during these trying times.🇺🇸

Carol's laugh is a national treasure.
So is her Tarzan yell!!! 😂
Loved this show in the late 70’s as a kid still love it

I really miss this show! The sketches were hilarious; especially when Tim Conway was in them making everyone lose it!!!
When you say "lose it" you meant bladder right, the way Harvey Korman lost his in the dentist skit? ;D

I loved Carol Burnett show growing up!!

The "purple passion of Persia" line is SO funny. I sometimes say it as a joke at times to friends...they love it.

Not sure what’s so funny about that but I LOVE that the dude in the loudspeaker said hello to Trixie lol
I've been cashiering for 3 yrs. This is a HOOT!! & although I watched a lot of the Carol Burnett Show, somehow I missed this one!!
have u seen the dentist one? its side splitting!!
Harvey’s suit jacket!! So 70’s! 🤣
I remember the 70’s, I don’t remember this episode! I sure as hell appreciate this crazy woman now that I’m older!
That's the kind of cash register I remember from when I was ... well a little younger than I am now.
Me too lol
Age is just a number
That's the kind of cash register I used to use when I was a teenager working in a grocery store. That was many moons ago!
I started my retail life at Woolworth's on a register just like that.
Yeah, and I remember how lines moved a lot faster back then too.

Burnett, Korman, Lawrence. All of them could hold their own. Comedy gold.
Writers were great too -- that bit with the hand signals was too funny.

Don't ruin old things by saying dumb crap like this. It's not our fault that the you've only seen like two shows come out from the last 15 years.
