Great video but you don’t mention some shortcomings of the plugin. I had to trial Nectar 3 to realize there is no intensity slider for the unmasking, so if it cuts away too much you can’t tweak it to make it fit. The other negatives were minor and overall a nice plugin. Izotope customer service responded and said my feedback would be passed on to the right department. Here’s hoping they add that option very soon.
Nectar is a great base...its always good to go in with fine tuning to your taste...I started with Nectar 2 and I wanted something I could learn fast and have a ALL in one plugin...what I love about Nectar being just 1 plugin is I can create my own chain inside Nectar and save it for just 1 click on any track...I only need to adjust the gate and deEssing each session since that changes...
Hi Sir, I just fell in love with the quality of your Audio, (both , but I mean the one where you are talking with the camera ), I am using Nectare 2 on audacity (The reason because I dont know how to operate the other DAWs) on window's 10 using a Samson Q2U via USB, I find my voice not so loud and crisp even when I am almost eating the mic , Can you please guide me a little as to A) Do I need an audio interface like Scarlet 2i2 or bahringer UMC 204 may be , If yes, which one shall work on Windows 10 hassle free ? B) Do I need to change the DAW itself ? I am recording for demo videos of a software , my sound which when comes low (around -15 DB ) I try to use equalizer of nectare 2 the background sound of mic the hmm sound goes away but my voice then looks like coming from far away and mouth sounds start to come within my speech, now if I add gain it sounds a little distorted, while I noticed, you are not trying to speak loud but your voice is coming as a primary focus in the video. Do you think you can help me out in this situation , Thanks in advance
Hi Hitesh. I think the biggest issue in your setup is your dynamic mic. Depending on a person's voice a dynamic mic may work well, or may not. I was frustrated with dynamic mics for a long time and then I switched to a condenser mic and my LIFE CHANGED! I typically speak and sing softly, so a condenser mic picks up my voice much better. Rode has the NT USB microphone which is a really good for the price. You can hear it in my video here: ruclips.net/video/AoZ7XZoJXdw/видео.html. Alternatively, you can get a regular(XLR) condenser mic and run it through an audio interface like the Scarlett Solo or 2i2. I think this will improve your sound immensely. It worked wonders for my voice.
@@SanjayC Hi, Thanks for taking out time for me. I only opted for the USB dynamic mic to avoid bulky setup and to work around the noisy environment I have, but I guess I will have to try an XLR condenser mic as well, if it worked for you may be it will work for me as well. Let me do that and come back to you with positive results indeed. Thanks for the Video link
Great video been asking around about peeps using nectar in ableton and pc, I keep getting high cpu and clicking even when increasing the buffer. Usually only using an instance on a vocal or two. Any suggestions, you are using ableton and your cpu looked highly but no clicking and are you on a pc? Thanks!
Ableton and Waves took long because you have to tweak them yourself according to the sound of the voice recording. Nectar listens to the unique recording and makes unique settings automatically.
Quick Question: does Nectar Element is the same with Nectar 3 interms of vocal assistant? I'm just a new and just bought an budget Home Recording Studio as my hobby to sing while play guitarand ukelele. Please enlighten me before I purchase thanks, btw kudos to your videos :)
no it doesn’t do the same thing but pretty similar. it is more stripped down. if you’re on a budget and go to school sweet water gives student discounts and next week they’re having a sweet water gear sale so everything should be cheaper too
Nectar 3 is really good to make some clear sketch of what you want before studio. But the voice corrector inside is one of the worst i ever use. Better go on pitcher ... or better... autotune ;) But it seems like u had something more than nectar right ? there is some stereo panning that i actually never got
Well, it takes a lot of tweaking to use Ableton and Waves. But once you have it, you can save it to use in your next song. Problem is, your vocals are never exactly the same. Nectar listens to the unique vocal recording and adjust automatically, which is nice.
I LOVE YOUR VOICE!!!!
YOU ARE THE NECTAR OF THE SOUND GODS!
Awww! :-)
I second that my man u sound like money over there
On sale right now for $200! www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/54-Vocal-Processing/4836-Nectar-3
Nice Review Sanjay .. Really helped me a lot 🤩👍💚

What editing software do you use to edit the screen capture of Ableton and Nectar?
I use Final Cut Pro to edit. I use QuickTime to screen record.

I’m on a 2018 MacBook Pro. I haven’t had any problems with this at all. No clicking
Sanjay C thank you for the reply! Do you mind sharing which one so I can check the specs, ram etc? might snag a Mac sometime soon.
Special man ! But I hate things that I don't understand.....!
How much longer did it take to use ableton and waves? Nectar looks super fast!
Ableton and Waves took long because you have to tweak them yourself according to the sound of the voice recording. Nectar listens to the unique recording and makes unique settings automatically.
Hey, what mic is that?
Its a Shure SM7B
