Diminishing returns.. a financial work/ effort and reward understanding, has been around in academia for 100 years and in human an understating for millions!! Once a searcher knows their basic needs are covered.. they love to play and find, invent for hours well beyond a normal day. Because it’s like the gamblers addiction.. except not so damaging. Then there is the really interesting point.. great breakthrough occur when people are not working...going for a walk, in a dream and so forth.

Why is the proposition about work and reward for more complex and creative work is widely ignored ‘science’, because it is not peer reviewed and confirmed?

Management invented in 1850’s? Within their leadership, thousands of great people were also good managers.. for millions o& years before this. .. not just military leaders, but village leaders allocating who is getting the seeds and who is getting the meat, who the water...on do on. This guys theme is good, but a lot of BS with it.

I agree that leadership has been there for millions of years, but I think what he meant is that the theory of management was invented in the 1850s.
