I have two canning jars full of my grandmothers button collection and this idea of yours got me thinking I could make a garland for my Christmas tree with all of her buttons!
Great idea on the garland! They'd also make good coasters and trivets/coasters for coffee, or a coffee/tea cup sleeve, etc. A bracelet, necklace and earrings that could be made fancier with beads or lace and beads and to match. Thoughts are endless! Whatever one has a need to raise something off a surface for, jewelry and more. :)
I wear my dad's old shirts as light weight covers in the spring and summer with T's or sleeveless tops. Girls usually do not get too many things of their dads. My mother made him wear pink and pale blue dress shirts with long sleeves. I have enjoyed these for years. He wore them, now I do.
Oh my!!! This I have to try. There are several places within the pattern that you could finish off with the button and loop. I see at least three different bracelets or Chockers. Fantastic!
Clever & pretty. Does certainly seem like a bracelet - it could also be modified to be added to the end of a sleeve for a pretty embellishment, or even attached to a collar area perhaps - probably many other ways to modify & use. Thank you for sharing!
When demonstrating, it is always good form to manage expectations by showing what your goal is, not showing the end result just gets most of us to go straight to the end and then leave!
With a set on special memorable buttons I'd stop at the first row and keep it as a bracelet. Love all the crochet ideas. Like also the way you present them. I am confused trying to keep track reading a pattern so this is perfect for me
I wish you would show a completed item first then how to make it. I like most of what I see but it can be a bit boring, not knowing what are trying to achieve.
No problem. Just slide the red dot at the bottom of the screen along the red line to the right, view the finished item, then slide it back again. I thought everyone knew this.
What a great idea! You can also make it as a face mask band to hook loops onto - put a button on each end. It would make a cute headband and even a hat band! I sew and save buttons off of clothes that aren't good enough to donate. I also save the unique buttons I used for things I sewed for my kids. I'll have to make some headbands and hatbands for my kids with buttons from items of their childhood. Ooooh and for those who have lost a loved one and want to share something of theirs. example : I've a friend who has a few shirts that were her dad's. If they get worn out she can save the buttons and use them and still have a part of those shirts.
I like that idea too. I think I’ve save it but haven’t tried making it yet I still wear the cloth masks now. May have to go back to the N97’s again though and they definatly need help with the head bands.
First of all, I am a button FREAK. I have them all separated in little jars by size and color. LOL. I have a lot that would be great for this project. We have an organization here that provides Christmas bags for every single foster child in that county! It is amazing. They have volunteers packing these gorgeous red large duffel bags for each kid, volunteers who come in and wrap the gifts, people donating gifts. It is such a wonderful coming together. I have donated scarves and hats of all sizes and colors. So if you ever whip up more than you can use they would make awesome donations!
@@laliz7025 Me, too! I’ve gotten many through thrift stores & find sorting them very relaxing. So fun to find unique ones or extra pretty ones! So much fun, too, to use to embellish t-shirts!
Once I had tried to make a woolen button of big size ,with a help of thin metal crochet and two ply wool, of Scarlet colour I just needed it and made a pretty red coloured button looks very exotic , different color can be used. it can be fixed on sweaters, bags or wherever you want to decorate.
Very Delighful Idea! It Is good to know one can see what the end of the project will look like! There is a thin red line under the video!Touch the little red line/ slide all the way to the right! There one can see how the finished project looks!
Great idea. I’m thinking that maybe I could make a little halloween skull bracelet garland by just crocheting into the tops of the buttons as that looked like little eyes I could do a little sharpie details to make them look like skulls
Very cute, but it would be e en better if you showed how you got the faux pearls to stay on. Did you glue them? Did you sew them on? I would sew them on with a very thin needle
This would make a good choker necklace…or napkin ring holders for the table…great conversation piece…this is very creative work thanks

I thought same😊
Thought it was going to be a bookmark at first. Should have started the vid with pic of the completed Item.
That’s a very pretty bracelet! My granddaughter will want to make one for sure. But I will show her how to weave in the ends of yarn.
Wao amazing crochet work beautyfull shering
Lovely idea! With or without the pearls or whatever beads you choose to use.
Qué hermoso trabajo. Felicitaciones por compartir tus conocimientos. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Très bonne idée. ❤️J'aime !
Merci de m'avoir répondu. Ma pauvre Grand mère ne me donnera plus de leçons de crochet... Le futur dans mon Anglais n'était pas approprié !
Great idea. This popped up automatically when it was bringing up older ones. So glad it did! Thanks.
Interesant. Mulțumesc frumos doamnă.
O seară minunată.!
Cute bracelet
What a good job! Really pretty.

Oh sorry okey you are right! I will consider your advice💕
Lovely and creative ,
It would be nice just as a trim on kitchen curtains. I can't wait to try it!

Megusta gue bonito lo haré grasiad
I thought it was a bracelet. It certainly can be used in which ever way one chooses.
Love the button bracelet show us soom more
Can we buy a book on your button procedure
Do you have a booklet with other fashions
in black as a necklace - great
What a great idea, and very cute too!
This could be so meaningful for buttons from a grandfather or father’s shirt. I’d leave the beads off so more of the button shows in that case.
I think the pattern would make a nice bag or tote. You would need a lot of buttons the same size though.
That is a good idea. Perhaps a flap for a bag that folds over. It would make a nice decorative edge, too. It is very pretty.
I wish you would show a completed item first then how to make it. I like most of what I see but it can be a bit boring, not knowing what are trying to achieve.
You can fast forward
@@loua3926 I didnt know I could or how to do it but I learned. Thank you!
Man kann Vorspulen .
I'm French... But there is a lot of books you can read. My Grandmother will give me some lessons. I love to do that: " Madeleine de Proust "oblige !

Great idea. Except to the face masks! Why would anyone wear something that doesn't work, unless you are indoctrinated?

It looks like a friendship bracelet, we can call it daddy bracelet ❤❤❤❤

I would’ve loved to see you put the bracelet on.
