      So good to hear that you got some useful information about it! Not sure about jobs in Tasmania, but when I arrived in Brisbane/Perth I found a job in 3 days by doing this:
      First look on google maps where you would like to work and make a list with emails of those places. Then make your resume based on these places (I put so much stuff on my resume that I would normally left out, like my student jobs when I was younger). Then reach out to those places. The next day it's good to go by and say hi but this is not always a must. Also: I didn't care about if there was a job opening or not, I just replied wherever I wanted to work.
      Hope you find something soon! And let me know if you have any more struggles or questions! :)

    lol you actually gave me a good idea to just buy a bycicle instead of using transports and stuff, im going to sydney next month, are there bycicle lines to use or u can just roam free with the cars?

    • @gioya.willems
      @gioya.willems  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! I remember it being sort of the same as here in Perth, sometimes there’s a bike lane, sometimes you bike on the sidewalk and sometimes just in the road 😅 as a Dutch person this was very strange and felt dangerous for me, but you get used to it! Just remember that most car-drivers are not used to make space for bikes and be extra careful!

    I’ve got my working holiday visa approved. I’m contemplating whether going now because I have a job that pays well and I enjoy most of the time with my job I can support myself to get a mortgage on my own apartment, live fairly well and travel up to 2 weeks at a time.
    I’m wondering if I’ll regret it if I don’t go and I’m wondering if I’ll regret leaving my job that pays well and it’s fairly easy, it’s shift work though.
    Anyone with some advice, please send it my way! Thank you 😊

    How to find jobs and accommodation for the 88 days work? I'm kinda lost, I will go with the WHV next year in early September

    • @gioya.willems
      @gioya.willems  8 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately I don’t have the best experience with 88 days work as I never did it. My friends all started working in cairns where you can just ask the company if it’s for 88 days. There’s also a lot of websites where you can work when you google it. Good luck!

    Hi, thank you for sharing. Do you mean if i paid taxes for 1000 Australian dollars, and i can get them back once i leave Australia?

    • @gioya.willems
      @gioya.willems  7 месяцев назад

      I don't think you can get all the taxes back, but a part of it. I left Australia now so I'll soon try to get my taxes back and possible share what I found out on RUclips!

    Hi! How are you? Im from Argentina (19), and im looking for a city in the East Coast for my first visa, that allows me to find a job quickly, and with also good beaches and nature, what would you recommend? Thanks for the info!!

    • @gioya.willems
      @gioya.willems  7 месяцев назад

      Hi! Exciting that you’re going to Australia! Are you looking for a place to do your 88-days for the visa? Then I would recommend magnetic island (there you have everything you’re looking for) but it’s not a city. Cairns is bigger, close to Great Barrier Reef and the “northern jungle” the only thing is the northern you go the harder it is to find good beaches as there are more crocodiles/stingers. If you’re not really looking for the 88 days I would recommend: airlie beach (close to Whitsundays) or Gold Coast. The place I would choose if I would go to the east coast is Byron bay as it has everything and great atmosphere, but it’s very hard to find a job there and it’s not for the 88 days.

    If I am being sponsored by my father then can I show that his bank account has at least 5000 AUD but would I need to show any other documents? Would a birth certificate be enough? Also how old can the bank statement showing 5000 AUD have to be max?

    Hallo daar! Ik heb onlangs je kanaal ontdekt, ga zo door! Ik ben 28 jaar oud uit België en heb net kennis gemaakt met de WHV en vraag me af of het te laat is.. Heb nog nooit zoiets gedaan is men leven maar ik hou ervan om de wereld te ontdekken !!! Ik heb het gevoel dat ik alles mis wat de wereld te bieden heeft.. Maar ergens toch wel bang om DE grote stap te zetten. Hier in Belgie huur ik een huis, en heb een auto lening lopen.. In principe mijn leven al opgebouwd, vind het echt eng om over na te denken moet ik hier alles opgeven en opnieuw beginnen in een ander land of leef ik mijn leven zoals het nu is... jij toevallig een woordje raad? :)

      Hoi, Bedankt! Ik heb eigenlijk een hoop tips voor je die ik je allemaal zou willen geven, maar dan schrijf ik een boek in deze comments! Ik ga binnenkort een video hierover maken omdat ik het idee heb dat er veel mensen met het zelfde 'probleem' zitten.
      Maar voor nu zou ik zeggen: Absoluut niet te laat! Je geeft aan je leven te hebben opgebouwd, maar eigenlijk ook wilt ervaren wat de wereld te bieden heeft. Dat klinkt als dat je je droom eigenlijk opgeeft door te settelen. Op een of andere manier klinkt 28 jaar in Nederland/Belgie 'oud' en wordt er van je verwacht dat je een huis hebt, een goede baan etc. Maar als je begint te reizen merk je dat 28 super jong is! Je kunt altijd nog terug naar je basis die je hebt opgebouwd. Toen ik begon met reizen besloot ik mijn appartement te verhuren als 'zekerheid', maar na een paar maanden heb ik het helemaal opgegeven. Op deze manier kon ik testen of het reizen echt iets voor mij was.
      Mocht je naar Australië of new Zealand willen dan zou ik juist adviseren om het nu te doen! Ook omdat het visum alleen maar gegeven wordt tot 30 jaar. Kortom, als dit echt iets is wat je wilt doen en waar je spijt van gaat krijgen als je het niet doet: dan is dit het moment!
      Hopelijk heb je hier iets aan!

    What kind of jobs will acount as a 88 days work? Is 88 days work the minimum days that you must do it? What gonna hapen if you do work more than 88 days?
    Thanksss

    • @gioya.willems
      @gioya.willems  7 месяцев назад

      It’s mostly hospitality (only in certain parts of Australia, you can find this online), farming and mining. The 88 days are based on hours. If you work more, you just get more paid!
