    Good info, i'm planning to got to AUS this year, i'm stressed, nervous, excited and thrilled about it :D

      How has the trip been? I arrive in 10 days and I'm feeling exactly as you said!

    • @Gladius_Here
      @Gladius_Here 3 дня назад

      @Vdhm91 Well I was there for a few months, I mean during the time there it was great, it felt like i'm in another life.
      Sadly I did a few mistakes such as not taking the jobs i was offered, so basically money ran out and well I had to go home.
      I learned alot from the trip so I know what not to do next time. Trial and error that is.
      But at least the weather was good every single day.

    I would really like to go to Australia for 3 months during the dark and boring Dutch wintertime. I have a passive income so money would not be that much of a issue and I could rent a appartment during my stay down under. One thing I have learned during the corona lockdown is that I should do more with my life and if everthing is going to be normal again I want to travel the world.

    • @marccarva

      Just be aware our international borders are still closed. We currently have an outbreak of the Indian variant in Victoria and the State is in lockdown. We do not know yet what this means for the whole country. Our vaccine program is extremely slow. Do not expect our international borders to be open until AT LEAST mid 2022 because of our terrible vaccine program.

    • @dukesanddaggers
      @dukesanddaggers 2 года назад +1

      Our borders are completely open now so it's definitely a good time if you're considering it. We're heading into winter now but the day temperature is relatively mild compared to Europe and typically sunny everyday - gets warmer the further north you stay. Weather warms to 20+ from Spring (around September). A lot of places are hiring, so finding a job may be easier if looking for a second income. Almost all COVID restrictions have ended in most states, except face masks on public transport. The lifestyle here is very casual and easy going, and people enjoy a good a work-life balance and spending time outdoors. So much open and green space in cities, amazing beaches, national parks, etc. You'll definitely enjoy it!

      Hey Roel, is nl that bad? Im deciding between moving to Sydney AUS , or Netherlands since i have family in both places. Im born and im living in sweden right now. I just hate the cold & grey and depressed people in sweden and its all because of the weather. Im so confused while i really like holland and my loved cousins are over there i would also wanna live in Australia because of the much better weather, i find holland to be alot better than sweden but maybe im wrong?

    • @marccarva

      Hi Yordy, unfortunately, the Australian borders are still closed but with plans to reopen early next year. Travellers with this visa who were in Australia when the bush fire crisis and the pandemic started, were allowed to extend their stay under a so called "covid visa".

    Hi ! Is there any AUS website where I can see if my major in architecture is acceptable with the Australian regulations or to see if I need to do a exam ?? I've been looking but can't find anything . The reason for this is that some countries outside UE have different regulations

    • @marccarva
      @marccarva  3 года назад +2

      I remember seeing architecture on the sponsored jobs list but it keeps changing. This is the list of all occupations: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list
      Keep an eye on it and then check what visa you could get. Easier way is to get a sponsor employer.

    • @triarb5790
      @triarb5790 3 года назад +4

      I recommend that, as well as the website he has suggested, you also look at the websites below.
      Just to be clear, each State has it's own branch of the Institute as well. You can contact the Australian Institute of Architecture for adviceabout your qualification recognition here.
      THE Australian Institute of Architects website is:
      architecture.com.au
      Two job sites to check out, to see what is the pay and the skills sought are:
      australianarchitecturejobboard.com ( one word)
      And
      seek.com.au ( this is Australia's most popular job website)
      An employer may sponsor your work visa, BUT this is dependent on the Federal Government list of skilled occupations and also the number of available local candidates V he uniqueness of your skills.
      Most employers WILL NOT employ you in a professional job without permanent residency or citizenship.
      Fluent written and oral English is a must have.
      Please remember though, that if you are coming as a "backpacker" , for one to two years, it is extremely unlikely that you will get work in your field. Be prepared to do anything you can get if you come to earn just to travel.

    Great video man. A few questions, are you allowed to rent apartments on your WHV? Are all jobs available for a WHV? I am starting out in the IT world so that would be nice to do. And lastly, how easy is the process after the 1 year of your WHV to extend it and get a permanent residency if you so choose down the line.

    • @marccarva

      Yes, there are ways to do so. Many people get sponsored by their employer if their skill is in demand. Others apply for a student visa. You can also apply for a 3rd year of working holiday visa if you complete 6 months of regional work.
