The Philippines symbolize the simplicity of life. I love Philippines always
I love how they have the stores up in the mountains and the people are so friendly and happy too.
This is exactly my jam. Just hopping on a motorcycle and heading off into the mountains, playing some pool, chatting up the locals. This is what the Philippines is really about. Talk about a great day.
I like how you mingle with the locals and have entertaining conversations. Positive vibes is all that counts. Cheers 🍻
My dear girlfriend and i are moving to cebu the 17th of november cause she will start working as a nurse there and i am so excited to go do province exploring! You doing these kind of things does give me more confidence to do the same. Thank you!
the phrase " better to practice than to produce" haha you are awesome Tom
By the time Tom wants to produce, it might go kaput😅😅😅
you arrived at baranggay sudlon 2 .. those people talk to you i know them..❤
love your trips to the real Philippines. awesome how most treat you and your open nature.
I started watching MJ's channel and got to know Roaming Hogan from there. I am a real fan of you and MJ now. All 3 channels are unique but they all have interesting adventures. I look for your content especially because I enjoy your interaction with the locals and the format of visiting different places without knowing ahead of time who you will meet and where you will end up. You make us feel that we are roaming with you!
You definitely drive the bloody hell outta that bike, I can tell you have fun doing it. Love the content, Tom. Thanks for letting us watch and learn.
Aloha ❤. Thanks Tom for Sharing and being a Positive Good Person like You ! No m Matter where you go ! You really need to make more of these travel videos. It’s nice to see the people and the scenes. Always watching from Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸
Beautiful view Tom......
Nice mate more videos like this please
I use to do the same thing in Cambodia 🇰🇭 love it
Hi Tom, I’m glad that you embrace the culture of the Filipinos. Always be safe. Regards to dai Meljean 🤗
When u go fast turn your hat backwards
Lov3 th3 clouds
Liking the longer Vlogs, and keep them coming
Wot a great video 🤩
Reminds me a bit of the Cordillera Region. Sweet vlog again!
Your videos are really educational. Remember watching your videos you explored Cebu city's mountainside and helped me explore Cebu as a solo traveler.
Hi Tom, nice video playing pool with the locals exception of the guy dressed in fatigues, while you were talking with the ladies. Take care and stay safe.
The Philippines look so chill and relax there. The ladies seem like they love the American people or any tourists. That come by and say hello to them. Do you like their sense of humor.......😅😊
I've been looking for videos like this for sometime ... glad I finally found this one. good stuff 👍👍
This is an absolutely beautiful place! Wow!
A nice day out with the provincial locals. 👍
This is a perfect example of what I said in my other comment. If you did this exact thing in Indonesia, you wouldn’t find anyone that could speak English in most places. They would smile and be friendly, but you couldn’t communicate. You wouldn’t be called Joe like the Philippines. You’d be called mister.
Speaking fairly fluent English gives Filipinos a distinct advantage when it comes to be friendly and welcoming to foreigners. It’s why there’s so many call centers there I’m sure…..along with so many OFWs. It’s very smart for the Philippines to teach English like they do. It’s giving them an advantage other countries in SE Asia don’t have. Not including Singapore.
Good thing English subject is being taught in the school and English language is the medium of instruction here also, that's the reason why we can speak and understand English even just the basic.
He's a pissed head!!!
You forget about Malaysian we speak English too and second most visited in SE Asia after Thailand 🎉because we spoke English and Arabic
@@pinkish8888 but you guys are not most visited country due to poverty
@@bboysjb hahahaha for sure you have never been here in the Philippines
I'm new to your channel but I have enjoyed this video. I hope to see more from you soon.
Buy the quad lock side mirror mount. For safety
Practice makes perfect .
Good video, your a very brave young man. The people were indeed very friendly.
My american boyfriend and I watch you and mj’s vlogs all the time!!! He loves your vlogs!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
oh this is my place .thank you for visiting our province host ...
Thanks! Best exploring of this type . keep sharing Tom .
Hi good evening what a great video
Really one of your best Tom. I recently returned from San Antoni northern Samar spending a month in the Philippines with my love and will be back at Christmas. Thanks for sharing this today best wishes from Melbourne
Love province videos! Thanks.
Oh my gosh! This guy is so brave that he had guts of going to this rural outskirts. I an a Filipino but im afraid to go that kind of place alone. But in fairness, the people there are friendly. Well, thats how Visayans are treating visitors. Im a Visayan also who speaks Cebuano.
I’ve seen plenty of travel videos and I think the Philippines is one of the safest countries, outside of Manila.
Philippines very safe , you have to avoid the foreigners
@@ChrisTaylor-wn4ps For real. Most kidnapping cases of foreigners here are also done by their fellow foreigners.
Seems fine to me. Nice people. Try the hood in America if you want to see a dangerous and sketchy place. I've ended up in the hood quite a bit and it was always unplanned. One time was a party and gang members were there. They had guns everywhere and lots of drugs and alcohol. I ended up getting along with them well due to my outgoing personality at the time. Was able to get the other white guys with me to loosen up since they seemed nervous at first. So much so I got the guys hosting it saying " you're the coolest white guys we ever met."
Too bad he was faking the "first time" part and your "bravery" image is unwarranted. Let's hope one day he actually does what he himself deems a worthy challenge.
Very nice blog
Greetings Smooth Operator, Another great post from you. Love these run by the seat of your pants journeys to the province. Love the area where you visited. I know this is a spontaneous thing you do, but I was wondering is there a way google map locate the road and area you went in your video? So if people find it an interesting place they too can go there? I know I would be interested to go where you’ve been here. Best regards, California Fan and Redsox Nation Faithful
Another great blog Tom, you always get along with the local Filipinos.
its baranggay sudlon 2 cebu city
Man it looks amazing. Cant wait to go
Nice one Bro. Keep it up! 😁
Accepting tagay is crucial in some places.... where I lived for 3 years (Inabanga ) before leaving the Philippines forever at 10, someone was killed for arrogantly saying no.
Amazing show thank you Tom. Have a great day
Brilliant idea and video.
That soldier was eyeing you Hard-core. Keep safe man.
You are so brave looks fun
Good job tom! You becoming a Filipino by with locals! More vlogs like this one! 👍👍👍 enjoy 💕💕💕
Hi Tom, great video. The locals are friendly, nice playing pool with the guys. Wow! Your a good pool player.
May God Bless & protect you always.
From Chicago USA
I hope you injoy your rides and had a good experience .its a nice place my home town people there are all friendly they always smile if you talk to them keep safe always on your travel vlog more subscribers
Apparently jump shots are considered a foul in the barangay. Nice 2-ball in the side though. Good to find a relatively level table on the side of a mountain. I enjoy these “roaming” vids.
Great content Tom 👍
This is a beautiful vlog. Seems you're in a good mood to vlog.👍👍
You can find the turo-turo it stands a side road small restaurant.that ppl can afford the good food specialty like you as travelers
It’s good to see you again, bro!
Red Horse is life!!! 🍺
I holidayed in Mindanao from the early 80's until we built our house in 2005 and moved there to live in 2008. We lived in a small town in Bukidnon close to CdeO. I enjoyed living in the Bukid as the air was more fresh less humid and cooler than at sea level. The thing I would not do but you do is drive around on your motorbike without body or head protection. I have witnessed and seen the outcome of many motorbike accidents in my almost 40 years of association with the Philippines. Yes I can understand you wanting to travel around but be careful as you well know medical facilities are not always available and if so can be very expensive. I personally have travelled around Mindanao, Bohol and Camiguin always taking my Isuzu. When we go further afield, we fly and go on organised tours. Yes your young and enjoy life but be careful maybe thats why MJ always worries when you drive fast she is just being cautious, take care.
Shout out my sis and sis inlaw wooooow sana all they are parted of your blog sir
Thanks for ur good videos
That makes me want to visit.
Loved the views Tom! My morning routing is, make coffee, check for Roaming Hogan or Meljean's videos before starting the day. I'm not sure if the road goes all the way to Toledo city on the other side? I would loved to explore it one day😊.
Hi all. Yes I get it everyday. I live in the province and in a small province house with the 5 other families homes on a small block. And 30 pigs. It a dirt road and all the neighborhoods on this road say the small thing. Hello Joe. I don't mind as long as they call me late for lunch
Cool Tom, it's what I'd like to do, ride around the province.
Sure you had a great time.
Keep up the great work, 🍻 cheers 🍻
"Food spots but it's like they're cooking in their house". " Maritess the ladies " 😃👍 Relaxing provincial life.
Living alone abroad is the best.
I was living in Thailand for 3 years, in the Philippines and the next station is Cambodia 😊
Great video mate . Keep it coming 😊
Hello from Naples, Florida. An awesome ride! And we enjoyed the visit to the village. Thank you so much for sharing this part of the world with us.
Great life.
TAKE CARE IN DRIVING
Wow, you just went to my hometown. Proud of my mountain place , Sudlon 2 Cebu Philippines ♥️, thank you for visiting at my place Roaming Homan
wow! you are a very good pool player!!!💜💜💜
what a great way to spend the day getting lost in the back of beyond something most visitors never do
I actually met Efren Reyes at nationals in Vegas in 2000(yes I play)not much of a conversation due to the language barrier but if it happens again I will have the wife translate,,,,
Fantastic Tom 16 months to my retirement and I hope to enjoy the little road trips through the provinces . I ride here in the states and some of the best times are on the unknown back roads. I hope to hell to stay away from the bigger cities and expat old man life. 👍
@jeffrey more....And he is still in Cebu City. Those mountain roads and villages are still part of Cebu City. You can't do the same outside Cebu because they don't have nice roads in their mountains. The roads in other islands and provinces are only on the low lands.
damn, I'd wear a helmet, I risk it riding a bike where I am that has bike lanes, but for years I haven't risked it, have never really fallen except when mountain bike riding
Take care always Tom
All fun!!!!
Great video, nice to see a vlogger show the other parts of Philippines which is great. I've been three times there already and have seen areas like in your video and love it. Can't wait go back to Cebu in January ✈️👍
nice video again I miss your videos
Kool trip mate💯👍🍺
Watching from California 😊
Thank you for the visit. It's amazing to see my barangay getting featured on your travel video. Come back again and I'll be your tour guide for free. 😅
👌
Great vid
That jumpshot was a foul. You scratch and thouch the white with the side of the cue. That is what people in bars do, but to jump correctly you need a jump cue and hit the white with the leather only.
Tom you should go to Angeles at the walking street.
nice to see an irish man visiting the philippines, to be honest, we got something in common when it comes to humor, i know coz ive been here in irelan for the last 5yrs
you should know how to use google map or waze which is important if you are lost . stay safety and be vigelant with your sorrounding. bless you
I neva joke wen it comes 2 red horse 🐎🤣😂😎
Way to go having fun the roaming hogan way.... 👍 glad you got to enjoy a day hanging out with the locals and seeing how they spend their free time... I really enjoyed seeing the mountain views having you experience the area for the first time brought me in with the same perspective as you not knowing what you will find and see? Next video idea.... a day in lapu lapu or wandering around some of the small towns in Southern cebu alone or with mj and explore the areas you never been to so you can share the experience with all of us watching.... thanks Tom for another entertaining video.
Be careful out there while on your scooter.
The guy wearing camo that was eyeballing you was probably a local NPA officer..... but as always your good nature and willingness to drink and mingle with the community prevailed.
I was thinking the same thing. He started eye balling way down the street.
Acutally thats bfat or staff law enforment from barangay., Where the baranggray assign a staff in high far away place to secure small village.
As you see his observ8ng the behavior of pl entering the village, when its secure .his gone.. he is just doing his job .
@@dispelledword7818 Actually a Barangay Tanud could also be an NPA Officer.... or a Mayor might be a member of Abu Sayyaf. It's more fun in the Philippines. 😉👍
@@KC-in9px seems u know more about npa and abusayap, i might be wrong maybe u as well👀👀🧐
@@KC-in9px There's no NPA group in Cebu island anymore, or worse the Abu Sayaf😂😂.You're spreading some misinformation😂
Great video as usual Tom. I like it when you go out and mingle with the people. Is it legal to drink and drive in the philippines? Just curious.
Everything is legal until someone has an accident. You should probably learn Filipino driving before introducing the local substances.
Tom also Maritis hahaha
That army guy was watching u from time😎
Great video. Have you ever seen a expat travelling the Philippines in a van? I’m thinking about a 6 month visit but I want to use those 6 months travelling around to get an idea of the country. I’m thinking it would be more cost effective to buy a van to sleep rather than paying weekly rates in different towns and cities.
Yes, some Filipinos do it. Using a van just like in the U.S. everything that trend in America are also a trend to the Philippines, like the battle of the RUclipsr, boxing, basketball, to songs, ECT. I think we are the son of the U.S😅
That buidling you saw next to the old church might be the “new” church. With how rundown the old one is, it also might be too small to handle current crowds and isnt abkle to be expanded. So the new building next door with the benches (pews) might be the new open air church expansion. Lots of churches in philippines have shutters or are open since thye are to big to air condition and you need the airflow to let out humidity and heat.
Generally the people in the countryside are wonderful and friendly. You might run into some who are less comfortable speaking english as it is less common in the countryside. So you may have to talk to a few people before you get someone who is both more fluent and comfortable speaking english. Also, in some parts of Mindanao you still have issues with Muslim rebels and in some parts of Samar you have Communist rebels. So in Samar I would recommend you stay down near the coast where they dont seem to have any issues with rebels. And in Mindanao make sure you are with friends or locals who will keep you in safe areas.
Perhaps Governments should address the issues that force people to rebel.
Filipinas are so pretty 😍
Can you see yourself living and settling down here for good?
