Philip is disabled and has been in a wheelchair for over 20 years so you can imagine the difficulties of traveling and he did it alone. Great interview Gary👍🏾he was very inspiring. I have a friend that is also wheelchair bound and a few months ago I suggested to him that maybe he should look into possibly visiting the Philippines. Please for the grace of god let him know not to do any interviews with Calvin “Sunshine Shoulders “. I see he commented on the interview and if I know Calvin he’s going to do his best to reach out to him for an interview also. I’m afraid he will do to him what he does to most of his guest and that will be showing him in an unflattering light during or after the interview. Trust me, If he was to tell Calvin about his unfortunate experience with the Filipina he met online Calvin would belittle him to his subscribers either during or after the interview. He has no shame in his game. Raw but real talk.
@@pughbear9145, yahhh, I agree. I don't recommend any couples, any one disabled, or anyone period sitting down with Calvin aka Sunshine Shoulders for an interview.
Think about this. Here is a man bound to a wheelchair yet, who has the mental, physical strength and determination to fly 8,000+ miles. There's a lesson in this for everyone (including me) who's listening and watching this to not allow "anything stand in your way" that you feel is important to you.

I have a physical disability need to do hip and knee replacement now. I was having difficulty to walk since I was 14 years old. I did all my studies till university, married and have three children, a grandparent now with four grand children. I travelled to 18 countries on 3 continents. I am now 55 years old need a walking stick to move around untill I make my hip and knee replacement. After that I will spend the rest of my life to explore places I have never been to by myself.

I feel the man has his heart in the Philippines. However, Philippines is not a handicap wheelchair accessible country. It will be almost to impossible for him to live in the Philippines unless someone cares him 24/7. I wish him good luck

I transported seniors and disabled person's for about 15 years. Mostly specializing in people in wheelchairs. If you have a van with a lift and are interested in having someone who knows the proper places to tie down a wheelchair i might consider coming out of retirement if the circumstances are right.

The filipinos in general we love to serve, and to care with all our hearts, that is what we are known for around the world probably. But never understimate us, never disrespect us and never cheat if ur in a relationship with a filipino because the filipinos can know how to fight, we know how to be furious. Might be a good idea to fast before boarding and while on the plane so you won’t need to go.
Number 2 would be the main concern. You would need to somehow get him into the bathroom for that. There are adult briefs (diapers) that he could wear and deficate in, but who wants to sit in that mess on a long flight? Not to mention the stench.
If he has a caregiver, you could bring him/her along, and both of you could assist him in getting into the lav., even though it would be awkward given the tight space. Flight attendants may be able to assist if he doesn't have a caregiver.
Number 1 for a guy is a breeze, as he could wear an external catheter attached to a leg urine drainage bag, and you can empty it into a urinal bottle when full. The challenge is the navigation in the tight space. You could consider traveling 1st or business class for more room if it's within your budget.
Which nice beautiful young Filipina is going to fall in love with him ? If he's got no money to provide for her(& family) would she even blink an eyelid?

This is a perfect example of why I think that The Philippines is a great place for folks with disabilities. Filipinos are so helpful. And to be fair, the infrastructure is a challenge for many types of able and not so abled bodies. He can do it, and so can others. I'm not particularly religious but his faith seems to be a great help to...attitude is everything most of the time in life.

I've noticed that the infrastructure there is a little more geared towards those with physical disabilities....it's nowhere near perfect though but again, the locals are very helpful from what I have seen.

Good luck to you Philip. I was shocked to hear you say that God is really looking out for you. I don't mean to sound like an atheist here Philip, but surely it must make you question why there a millions upon millions of scum people living a life full of money, laughter and love, yet on the other hand good people like me and you live like shit compared to what they have, and it truely amazes me that you think God is looking out for you when your life was that bad you had thoughts of ending it.
