Some drummers make it look harder than it is with facial expressions and body movements. Panos makes it look easier than it is by a lack of facial expression and body movement. Just doing the job. Congrats ! :)
What an outstanding playing! I've never seen anyone on youtube who can play DT songs as perfect as you did. Good job man, I really enjoy your contents!
I respect every note you've made in this video, congratulations guy, I've been following Dream Theater since 1994 and I'm a drummer, I've already spent hours and hours training and recording all the songs and I felt what you played, and that inspires me, Including the small moments that you performed in your way were very well placed, I respect you face, congratulations for this video and also respect for the fans and especially the band. Sorry about my english, I'm Brazilian, so!! hahahahahah congrats.. You have my respect, thank you. And of course, I'm sorry, but sabian are really better, but that's a dicussion for another time. Ahhahahahahahaah It's just a joke, both of them are great
Thank you so much, my friend! I really appreciate your kind words, and I'm so glad I can inspire you! As for the cymbals, it's all a matter of preference! I am really satisfied with the Zildjians so far! Great instruments!
I've seen SO many bands..(drummers my favorite) → and worked for DT (as 'Majesty') on Long Island in the club Daze. Personal friends with all the DT guys on LINY and I'm sure MP would love your playing. Awesome Keep Rockin.!
i've criticised you for not having feel in the spirit carries on video, i am happy to admit i was wrong, you play fantastic. and absolutely nail every hit of every song. well done sir. take my hat off to you! keep on drumming brother. more DT Covers please!
Eu fico me perguntando porque essa música lines in the sand nao entrou no álbum live in budokan é umas das melhores do dream theater entre ela hells kitchen e burning my soul Melody 100%❤❤❤❤
This is flawless, omg. Those 6 and 4 sections where portnoy goes berserk in the "prechorus" was driving me nuts until I saw this video. Now I know for certain I can never play it right 😂😂
very good, still very impressive fact that a drum teacher has to give himself to the max [look at his face] to follow these drum patterns, even then he misses some of the beats and fills which are originally in the song and makes it flow and dance.. The fact that these drumpatterns were invented and flowed out MP while making this song thats the really impressive part. Also they are like the same age this song came out. But, great job and effort Panos!
Thanks man! There are lots of "behind the scenes" things regarding this video, so not everything you see is exactly how you describe it. But I agree with the main point of your comment, which is that it's very impressive to write those drum parts in the first place, and I'm glad you appreciate the effort I put into making this video! :)
Nicely done. It took a while to figure out what was going on with your pedals. Must those Schlismann pedals. Great job! Also like the recital hall use. My teachers would never have allowed that.
Thank you, my friend! Glad you like it! The bass drum pedal is the Giant Step Middle Pedal, by Sonor! Check it out! Also, I was a teacher in the conservatoire where this concert hall is for 7 years, which is why I was allowed to use it!
Wow..it was awsome bro..almost the same like original..it is not easy to catch every notes to hear and play..thanks bro to bring it again..I love this songs very much..
really nice job. Drums sound and look great. They Sonor? Was hard to tell. You clearly put a lot of time into perfecting this tune. I do wish youtube would take the thumbs down sign off. If someone doesn't like something fine, but they don't need to do that. How 14 people couldn't like this is mindboggling. Keep rocking.
i have a fun question for you: i' m a bass player (and this is for real) and, if i will decide to play drums one day, how would you rate difficult to cover a piece like this (referred to lines in the sand) on drums... on a scale from 1 to 10? or, maybe better, with which bass cover would you compare that in terms of difficulty ? Anyway i love Dream Theater, i really like this album, underrated in my opinion, and i absolutely love your playing... congrats :)
That's such a cool question! 😁 To give you some context, the hardest DT song from the Portnoy era is probably 'The Dance of Eternity', which I would rate 8/10 in terms of difficulty. Compared to that, this is probably a 6.5/10, or 7/10. Which is still pretty challenging (I don't expect a beginner to play it), but not crazy, all things considered. As to what bass cover I would compare it to, honestly, I have no idea. I don't play the bass, so you'll have to figure that out yourself! haha Glad you like my performance! I appreciate it! 🤘
Holy pick! For a moment I thought it was Petrucci himself drum-covering the song! :D
That would be awesome, right??? :D
Indeed it would! :D
Petrucci on drums would be awesome!! Search for DT covering Perfect Strangers and see for yourself.
😂😂👍🏻👍🏻
Not only the drums sounds clean, it also looks clean as hell. Thumbs up for clean drumming
Thanks a lot!
Some drummers make it look harder than it is with facial expressions and body movements. Panos makes it look easier than it is by a lack of facial expression and body movement. Just doing the job. Congrats ! :)
Thanks a lot! Glad you like it!
