I once heard him referred to as the man of a thousand voices and I truly believe that he was capable of doing that many voices. He was such a talent and such a great part of my growing up, I can remember watching Bugs Bunny cartoons on Saturday mornings.❤ He was truly a once in a lifetime talent, and he will be forever missed. I remember a story about Mel,he was in an accident and was in a Coma, would not respond to anything, the Doctor had an idea, he said, hey, Bugs Bunny, wake up. He then slowly began to wake up.

I loved all of his characters as a child and adult. I had no idea about his accident. He & hiss voice was such a gift to everyone.
The only reason we included the accident was the way he came out of it speaking with character voices. Classic comeback. He’s a treasure.
