Very nice and appropriate! They also did a tribute to Charles "Chuck" Jones, the Director, animator, and painter. The same cartoon characters surrounded a desk where he did his drawings and a Director's chair with his name on it.
What an awesome childhood gift with Mel Blanc and Chuck Jones and the entire Warner Brothers animation team! ❤

I grew up with Mel Blanc and June Foray.
In an interview, Mel was asked what he thought of people referring to June Foray as 'the Female Mel Blanc'.
Mel replied, 'I've often thought of myself as the Male June Foray'.
      Both started in radio.
We all know who Mel voiced.
June is Witch Hazel and Granny for Warner Brothers, and Rocky Squirrel and Natasha for Jay Ward, among others.
      Both are missed.
RIP, Mel and June, and thanx so very much for my childhood.

@@echoecho3108 i was always a huge fan of Bugs and Looney Tunes even more so than Disney, Mel was the 1st voice actor to get his name in the credits to get actual credit he fought hard for it and he deserved it too.
anyone who does voice work weather it's in film, video games or really any medium can thank Mel for that. when he died in (1989) i turned 11 years old i'll be 45 on Saturday but back in (1989) a piece of me i think died cause though i had no idea what the man looked like i loved his work.
it broke my heart when he died out of any of them who have since died though when Casey Caseme died sorry for my bad spelling that one did hurt. there's others i of course love but Mel is the best and if i recall his Son did it for a few years and he wasn't bad but he wasn't Bugs nobody who has done it since or even long after i'm gone will be Mel nobody can top him.
one of my favorite stories was in (1961) he was in a car accident from my understanding he was in a coma for like 30 days no reaction nothing than one day a doctor thought of something completely wild he goes how you doing today bugs? and he got not bad doc i'm doing pretty good so i read this in an article recently. as the article put it so in a way Bugs saved his life. when he did wake up the 1st thing he said to the doctor was in bugs voice what's up doc?

It's absolutely amazing how much joy and entertainment this man brought to all of us kids those prior to the year 2000.
It's so damn sad that they do not show these cartoons as much as they used to, if any, just because their material of times don't fit-in with today's ultra-sensitive society.
These cartoons taught me to not take things so seriously when it comes to comedy. Stigmas and stereotypes from all cultures of life have their satirical side of nature, and we must get back to laughing them off and just live life with our humorous shortcomings instead of trying to pretend like they're non-existent.

They most definitely did not show these cartoons at the same copious amounts of broadcasting they did prior to the year of mention. Because, I vividly remember they did not show them as often as they would, for I would search for their airings quite often, then, and they most certainly do *not* show them on a constant at present like in the past. They'll have about 2 hours worth of Merry Melodies or Looney Tunes on Boom, which is also aired in the middle of the night when most children are already asleep.

Daffy Duck alone or with Porky Pig really helped my childhood but I checked to be sure I wasn't biased, I'm not. Punch this into a Search Engine : "complete list of characters from mel blanc voices list" because Mel was so very good that many of his characters were NOT recognizable back to him (would anyone unaware guess that he was both Bugs AND Daffy?). Click on more than one result because Looney Tunes will not also reveal that Mel Blanc was the voice of Barney Rubble and Hanna Barbera will not tell you about so many others. As Mel said at the beginning of the video "about 400" and he is being modest due to so much Live work never being recorded.

There are so many talented voice actors that never got the credit they were due. Disney was really bad for this with female voice actors. A lot of the time they just got zero credit for their work.

I would say the closest we’ve got these days and it really isn’t that close at all is Tom Kenny. He did a ton of awesome voices before he became the iconic voice of SpongeBob. Think about any Cartoon Network show from the 90’s and early 2000’s and he voiced ay minimum one character in each.

Mel was a master voice artist but he was also an excellent comedian. His work on so many radio programs and Jack Benny’s early, live television shows as various characters show his comic chops. He truly was funny.
