Yeah, you're out of your mind for this one. This is not a slight against the wonderful upscaling done here, but the staircasing, blocking, and other video artifacts make it apparent this is a digital upscale and not sourced from original film elements like the blu-ray scan. Also, there's the deinterlacing and overall video noise reduction that has removed much of the grain alongside the old video noise. It looks good, but you're comparing apples to oranges here.
@@kolardgreene3096 all I can see is that it looks really bad, the only thing the blu ray release did was saturate the colors a bit more and up the graininess making it look worse than DVD releases from over 10 years ago. I have other Blu-Ray 90s anime like sailor moon or Gundam X and G Gundam and they did a better job to eliminate the harshness of the grain and blurriness of the overall picture. The menu of the release itself is just so lazy as it’s only a JPEG with no special features.

This was basically my most memorable “toonami midnight run” moment. I saw the episode earlier in the day “the great destroyer is back again darn it all it’s 02” and then watched it again at midnight and saw this and was like aw yeah I’m staying up until midnight every night from now until forever
I like when he tries to commit self destruction fighting the dolls and says "feel free to tag along, on my trip TO HELL" and then slams the button but it doesnt work.

You're right, most people would have not here the original intended version of the episodes unless you stayed up in the US and this is coming from an American, mostly everywhere else You got the show fully uncut swears and all That's why there is to Duos mobile suits name internationally similar to 2 of the Super robots that are the G Gundams mobile suits. The EW one isn't an upgrade, the EW Gundams and the series Gundams are 2 different Gundams. the EW ones are based off from the Magna series.
