- Encountered in Mission 15 of Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown. Not sure which one of them, but definitely not Mister X from the lack of orange wingtips (also something I only noticed in-game just now).
And then he got PEWPEWPEW-ed.
Edit: to everyone asking which game is this; it's Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown. Get the full package if you can, the add-on missions are fun, though the DLC planes can be quite OP.

Basically how it works irl as well. If you know the fighter you're against can do that you just stay further back so it doesn't work.
You don’t need to get on your enemy’s six to make this maneuver useful, you could just get a lock and shoot back at them while you pull this maneuver off

@@Captain_Laser ikr, ac4 which is one of my favorite ace combat series, had very challenging AI's especially when you go up against the yellow Squadron I literally got so mad at those missions that I slammed my ps2 controller on the floor i was like 9 years old at the time.
@@rainbowdash3005 The fact is Friendly AI sometime try shot down Yellow making AC4 are best one. If you try engage Yellow in Lifeline mission,all your friend will assist you in shoot down Yellow.

Yellow of Megalith are Yellow recruit just to "scare Mobius ass". The *REAL* Yellow compromise the one that defended Stonhenge and last defense of Farbanti
Mr andross is right the yellows in megalith are just substitutes that are paying respect for the yellow squadron the real yellow squadron was shot down during when they were trying to defend farbanti

Oh my fucking GOOOD, Crimson in Project Wingman was an absolute ball ache to fight, especially on the one mission where you can use up all your missiles just taking out cround targets!

i beat them with a phantom using the high explosive gunpods. missiles were worthless.
@@airwaveraptor125 Running was merely a suggestion. If it wouldn't have taken me like 2 hours with just the guns, I would have fought them to the end. Bust after the first 2 took 30 minutes, I decided not to waste my time.

I mean I'm playin AC4 rn, and the Yellows just point right up and stay still because the game didn't have that good engine that AC5 would bring. Sol is just the Yellows done with better technology.

which fucks up the Replay viewer as The Jets Move all Stiff and Jerky cause the Game is trying to Reference the Movement points or something , but ZERO fixed the replay part and Brought back 2Player thats All
The thing is Ace Combat 4 friendly A.I are advance. They A.I later used by ACZ,AC5 wingman and AC6 Friendly. Nowaday,friendly A.I in AC7 are brainless. All they do is flying around(rarely they try shot down enemy down)

Reminds me of how the Yellow members in AC04 could pull a Cobra. Sometimes they'd pull it to good effect but most of the time they'd eat a missile.

Here we have a prime example of why PSMs are a bad idea most of the time. In AC4 the Yellow Squadron pulled it off, partially because you could see their planes actually slide mid air out of the missiles' way, but if you have a similar enough plane you can just copy it and blow the enemy up from close range. I also remember trying to look cool in ACZ and getting one shot by the Sorcerer Squadron, that fight on Ace was a master class of "you stall, you ded", all it took was for you to stall for a second and they killed you with one missile.
One of the things I wish is that Ace0 had Ace4 flight movements or graphics because it would take better skill And Look Cooler XD, then Also AceX on psp DID have ace04 flight graphics which blew me away !
The only time you work doing that is when you're fighting Gault Team

Not gonna lie, for boss fight. AC7 was a disapointment, the AI was felt mostly on rails and wasn't "fun" to fight...
And then I fought the bosses of Project Wingman and it felt more Ace Combat than Mihaly ever did... ... Seriously, why didn't they did like Project Wingman? :'(
Didn't know they could do that. Last time I played only Mihaly did a cobra. He did manage to get behind me with that maneuver but I was quick enough to hit him with two missiles at point blank before that.
This is so satisfying to watch. Nice vid. Mihaly did a Kulbit during mission 18 and tbf it was pretty effective... Since I was momentarily stunned by the shear flex of it! I wish I had recorded it.
Yet when I try to do a Kulbit in the SU-30M2 I just stall out halfway.

Ironically this is reason why IRL PSM usually impractical, they lose vast amount of potential energy, leaving they slow enough for second missile or enemy wingman to get them. Even Russian and Western prefer long range missile fight than flashy close dogfight like video game

I think it's limited to sol squadron and hugin/munin. In base game, that is, probably mimic squadron too.

@@SleepyPopups.Unedited Su-37s in Battle for Farbanti definitely do it as well, I actually got an awfully easy kill on a Su-37 because they decided to do a kulbit right in front of me.

I have posted on a fb group how a su-35 made a Cobra right in front of me trying to avoid my missiles
In an odd way, this is a good illustration of two competing schools of though when it comes to modern fighter design. The Russians favor a school of thought that says techniques like the cobra allow you to maje rapid attacks up close, but at the expense of speed- the cobra leaves you very slow, which is sorta the point but when timed poorly can be bad. The american approach favors less dramatic approaches, based on maintaining speed while your opponent sheds it, gradually leaving you with more and more options while your opponent ends up with less and less. The attack here is an illustration of the chief criticism of the Russian approach- an ill timed Cobra leaves you a sitting duck.
