Almost cut my left thumb off a couple of months ago and had to put it in a cast. Then I dislocated my right wrist so fuck me, that's why I didn't post. Found time to listen to the new album last night and this is the only track I dug along with a couple of others to be honest so I won't be covering any more tracks from the album. Kinda disappointing. Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Thanks man, yeap it is. I had been working on it since November. It's actually built from scratch, almost frankensteined. I got someone to make me a custom Tele alder body, sanded it, painted it and all. The maple neck is straight out of the Squier Affinity series, like it's the exact same one. The bridge pickup is a DiMarzio DP421 and the neck pickup is out of a Fender AM telecaster. Kluson machine heads, chrome hardware and that's basically it. The inspiration came out of playing a friend's Squier Affinity Tele and actually falling in love with the neck. I liked it so much that I built a Tele just to put that neck on haha.
Thank you mate! I mean it wasn't my thing. Very very uninspiring and underwhelming. I don't know, I was disappointed. And I never thought I'd say that for an Architects album. From Hollow Crown to Holly Hell, I think this is their weakest album. And not because of the direction but rather the execution.
@@letchaosreign first of all: glad you are back on track. And about the Album: my thoughts exactly. It seems to me, that people with this opinion get a lot of hate right now. I don't care that much about this route their going with their sound. But this album is just bland and plain boring. As you say: not the direction but the execution is a real disappointment. Maybe the new While She Sleeps Record is going to blast, hoping for covers as Well!
@@n00b22 Yeah, well, there are some great moments in the album but a lot of cheesy and generic ones as well, in my eyes anyway. At one point I felt like I was doing a chore while listening to the album and that's never a good sign, that's how uninvested I was. When bands develop such a hardcore following, like Architects, the moment they put out something that is not on par with their previous work and people start voicing their criticisms, they will get eaten by fanboys and fangirls for "hating" and "not appreciating evolution". Same old stuff. It's always been this way. You bet I'll be covering the new WSS album, I can't wait for that!
@@letchaosreign I share the same thoughts man, the first 2 singles actually prove to be the strongest tracks and at the time I thought they were going to be 2 of the weakest...

What Bias FX preset is that? my bias fx sounds like shit
Not really a preset, I make a different tone each time depending on the song and the guitar I'm using
architects has gone from "I'll never be able to play this" to "even I can play this, and it's almost boring to do so" :/
Yeah, although minimalistic, the guitar work used to be quite intricate. No more I guess, sadly.
