Nice insight and clarification like always. Been playing off and on but seems like with each new set the game gets more and more complicated and sometimes feels easy to get overwhelmed. These vids at least help not only introduce some mechanics but also highlights how edge cases resolve.
These videos are great! We may need to see a x-antibody dedicated rulings video though. I have seen quite a few misplays and not knowing whether or not inserted sources trigger or not.
wanna ask rule about jogress , asking about rule, if in my endphase my opponen devo my maste, and i have a another digimon, could i still have gato eff to jogress? case, in end of my turn opponent pop darkmaster and play machideramon to devo my maste to ladydevi and i control angewomon,
I know I may not get a reply since the video is a year old but i haven't been able to get a straight answer anywhere. If I DNA digivolve a mastemon and place a lvl 5 or lower yellow or purple digimon in security then look at security can I choose not to play a digimon from security at that point even though me and my opponent know there is a valid target to be played?
So I have a question in regards to "On "Deletion Effects" triggering while my opponent still has effects pending to resolve during their turn. So in the same case with Mastemon and LucemonCM and my Opponent deciding which effect to trigger first, If any Digimon I have with "On Deletion" is deleted by the Opponent's first effect, the "On Deletion" effect immediately takes place before the rest of my opponent's effects resolve?
Yes. The newest pending triggered activation has be resolved first before you resolve any previous effect. So using CM to delete Ophani triggers Ophani’s effect and that now has to be resolved before any previous effects. That’s why the effect of Mastemon is able to delete the digimon player via Ophani’s effect. If you want a bit more step by step of how some complicated effect resolutions are suppose to be resolved you can also watch my video on effect/attack resolutions.
@@R0boSushi Thats great to know. The updated rulebook even helped clarify this for me since you broke it down that way. Because the On Deletion is a New Effect being added to the pool, the new Effect(s) have to be resolved first before continuing the older chain of effects. So if the On Deletion effect brought a Digimon on field that had an On Play effect, the On Play would then immediately trigger because its new, and barring no new effects activate as a result of the On Play, then the previous chain resumes allowing Ophani to delete the new digimon.
I have 2 questions , if I have 2 black gatamon with end of turn inheretance effect evolved into 2 purple lady devimon can I hard play a mgnaangemon then Dna degevolved at end of turn into mastemon then mastemon effect play another level 5 yellow then DNA degivolved again into another mastemon ? 2nd if I DNA degivolved my mastemon with no target from trash to stack into security can I look to my security and play a level 5 or lower ?
Situation which can crop up now with Ordinemon: Can both a Salamon and Gatomon from the same Lv 5 stack create a double DNA into Ordinemon? There are two effects triggering and the card triggering it is still present on field. However, the nature of DNA digivolution turns the source into a new digimon, which would seem to remove the source of the trigger.
So weird example. I have 2 mastes on board. And my opponet has an armor. I play a digimon by effect triggerimg both mastes. Can i choose the armor for one maste. They armor purge and then kill rookie? I believe thats correct but verification is nice
Yes. The first maste will activate, attempting to delete the armor. The armor will purge to prevent deletion, then the second maste can target the newly purged lvl 3 and delete it.
@@R0boSushi cool also this is less of a question on card ruling and more on edicate. If i am in an event and my opponet plays a card that does not say may. For example the dna digivolve effect of paildramon. Doesnt declare a card and just proceeds to continue their turn, i am aware of their mistake but choose not to say anything, am i at fault? Ive heard mixed answers from people. Some say you Must remind them in order to maintain game state and others say that its not my job to remind people of their own effects? Which is technically correct?
@@KamenRiderDragoon that’s definitely more of a judge discretion type of call for who the penalty would go toward. Both you and your opponent are responsible for maintaining a legal board state. If your opponent misses a mandatory action, then you should remind them, even if it has the potential to lower your own advantage, as not doing so could be seen as a way to give you an advantage. Depending on the exact situation the penalty could be your opponent’s because they missed a mandatory effect that was theirs, but saying that you knew it was mandatory and chose not to tell them could attribute the penalty to you.
@@R0boSushi yeah its one of those grey areas cause there is always a case of plausable deniability. Just simply saying you forgot to remind etc. But just wanted to make sure
No. They were just played that turn so they are not allowed to attack since they don’t have rush. However, you can dna digivolve both of them together and the newly dna digivolved digimon would be able to attack.
If the Kimera is DNA’d at the end of turn for say a sala effect then no. It would still miss the start of the end of the turn. But if say you were at 2 memory regular evo’d into kimera and added the Gato, then the Gato would be there for the start of end of turn procedures and you would be able to use that kimera in an EOT DNA evo.
Love these ruling vids! I have a question on DNA Digivolving. If a Digimon gained an ability or DP from an option card or effect would it carry over to the new DNA’d Digimon?
No, the newly DNA digivolved digimon is not the same digimon as the digimon used to go into it so it does not have any effects that it’s parts had unless the effect was a global effect.
Would resolving Mastemon's DNA digivolution effects at the end of your turn using the Gatomon inheritable trigger the BT-8 Kari Kamiya effect to gain memory? And what would happen if as a result the memory counter went to 0 or back to 1 on your side?
Yes, since the effect of Mastemon adds a card to security, Kari triggers and will allow you to gain the memory. If this happens to move the memory back to 0 or more on your side, then your turn will continue.
Its the whole reason ohruken works with alphamon. End of turn step triggers when all effects have resolved and the memeory is more than 0 on opponets side. If you gain memeory back to zero or more the turn passing ends and you resume your turn
Hey R0boSushi, something came up when I was playing Mastemon vs my friend's armors. I had a ST10 Mastemon with a BT3 LadyDevimon as an evo source on field. I activated Dead or Alive to play a Lucemon from trash which killed a tamer, then used Mastemon's effect to delete an armor Digimon, it armor purged leaving a Veemon which I then targeted with the LadyDevimon inherited effect to delete a level 3 after using an option card. Was targeting the Veemon with the LadyDevimon inherited effect a legal play? Some people at the card shop and I said yes, but my friend said it shouldn't have worked that way.
You were correct, it was perfectly legal. The using of the option card triggers Ladydevi inherit but you have to finish resolving dead or alive. You resolve the effect, playing a CM from trash. When CM is played it triggers his effect and Mastemon’s effect. You resolve them first (before Ladydevi inherit) in any order. This example you resolve CM to delete a tamer then Mastemon to try and delete an armor, which your opponent uses armor purge to save. Now you go back to the previous pending Ladydevi effect. This deletes the lvl 3 veemon left in play.
