We are hoping to turn those two into new Louis fans! It)
55:19 "I'm hurting but I have hope" Well your feeling is spot on because Louis said this in a recent interview: “The overall feel on the album, even though it touches on stuff that’s more emotional - maybe even sad at times - by the end of the song there will be a lyric or there will be a melody, something that happens in production, that leaves you with a hopeful feeling. That was my intention. To create a hopeful record, that has depth emotionally, but as a collective feels hopeful.”
Okay the fact that he said “maybe even sad at times” LEWIS CHICAGO IS HEARTWRENCHING” But jokes aside he did a fantastic job of conveying that. I said that not knowing about that interview, so (even more) props to him
I feel like that Walls was the transitional piece between 1D and himself as a solo artist but Faith In The Future is truly him as a musician. Faith in the future seems like a letter to the fans from Louis himself. Back in 1D people kept saying he wasn’t a great singer so he started writing more. You can see how much work he has put into his voice since then.

Hello hello!! Thanks for embracing me so warmly as I entered the Louis fandom 🥹❤️⭐️ I’m almost home after traveling all day and I can’t wait to chat about the album with y’all in the comments. As soon as I get home, I’ll put (part of my) Walls reaction (a couple songs were muted for copyright restrictions) as well as my reaction to a few of Louie’s early singles and some of the deluxe songs on my Patreon! www.patreon.com/alexraymusic? Louis could write a soundtrack for a movie. I feel like I get so many images in my head with the feel and the lyrics of each song. Oh, and I kept saying Silver Tongues sounds very Andrew McMahon as well! SIBWAWC sounds like Lady Gaga in a way. I hear so many influences in this whole album and I'm here for it! (Killers, Oasis, The Cure, FOB, OK GO, Panic, Blink, etc) It's a blend of my entire collection of music and I can get it all in one album by Louis.
Listening to his album after watching his doc makes it hit so much harder. Because you can just really understand what he was feeling through every song, especially lucky again and all this time, when they played in the doc it all just really clicked into place.
Hi! I’m rewatching this reaction!! I love it more than the first time I watched, because I know what you’re going to say, but I’m still excited! I saw Louis, at the beginning of his tour, in Detroit, a smaller venue and I knew it’s not going to be a great performance! I followed all his other shows and with every show he got better and better! So, I’m not going to lie, I’m a little disappointed that I haven’t seen him at his best! He released his one version of “Back to you” because it sounded so great live, it was a public favorite! So you were right!! (1:15) You’re great at seeing behind the music and understanding the lyrics, the vision and predict the future! 😍
Holding on to Heartache is gorgeous but Angels Fly and Written All Over Your Face are also insanely good. I love this album and your reaction was really lovely!
Am I the only one that occasionally got vibes of Oasis in some of the earlier tracks? I do agree that I heard Fallout Boy across the spectrum. Thanks for the album! It was really my first introduction to Louie.
Loved this reaction!! And love seeing someone love Chicago as much as I do! Also I’m sure someone in chat said it as you were recording but That’s The Way Love Goes is the last song on most of the versions of FITF, the track lists changes depending on which deluxe songs are added but That’s The Way Love Goes stays as the last song for the most part… it’s meant to stay as the last song
7:58 he hadn't used that side of his voice on his solo stuff but he used to do it a lot in 1D songs! I was so happy to get that back from him also, loved your reaction!!

His lyrics gets me hard, even the simple ones; he makes me suffer thru vivid memories I never experienced but that felt as mine. I'd love your reaction to demo songs (saved by a Stranger, face the music, change) and speculate a little about the things could be add to them musically and vocally 💙
@@alexray_music I just re-read my comment and realized I wrote something in a very wrong way, my brain tried to say something but the autocorrect, my hands or my Louis' deprived mind forbade it. Sorry.

Your reaction to Written all over your face is a hoot - I think we all felt like this, like 'what the heck is he doing to me?'' Sexylou is new, and we like it. :) Overall, this is best album I've heard in years.
i just love the way you interpret these songs! i’ve listened to this album so many times and you’re still giving me a fresh view and perspective and more appreciation for it
Absolutely loved this reaction. Such a great combo of passion, notes from a songwriter's perspective, appreciation of lyrics, and calling out production and songwriting textural choices. So enjoyable. Thank you!
That's the Way Love Goes as a concept, I think is influenced by The Streets - Dry Your Eyes, which is also a song talking to your friend about picking themselves up after a break up (interestingly, that one goes back and forth between the guy during the break up and his friends advice). Also Louis worked on this song with someone who has worked with The Streets at one point. I'm not sure they were a big band outside the UK, but that song was a huge one as a teenager here, and Louis is a similar age as me, so it was interesting to see him do a song with a similar theme to that iconic one
I got to see his show in Seattle this summer and it was the best day of my life 💙💙 he is such amazing songs writer and performer Also this reaction was SO GOOD thank you for an amazing video, I’ll definitely be watching more 💙💙💙
I feel like Angels Fly is more of a song that someone close to him lost someone close to them, and he's just comforting them. Saying things like we don't have to talk about it now but I'm here for you. I like to think maybe he had someone who did that for him and he wrote this song for them.
I’ve commented this on Caitlin’s video as well but after watching Positive Steven’s reaction I can’t shake the feeling that Saturdays is about Louis’ grief and loss in a “I’m finding you in the everyday moments that bring me back to the pain I felt when I lost you but still make me smile” kind of way as opposed to a “Two Of Us” kind of way
What a fantastic reaction Alex!! as a long time Louis fan, my expectations for FITH were high and I was still blown away! Im a huge Taylor & Louis fan and it’s been wonderful listening to your reactions & breakdowns of both their music ❤ just love your musical insights & commentary
Loveeeed your reaction to this album. I love when people take so much care to understand the intricacies of a song and give it so much detail. I feel like then you fall even more in love with the album as a whole beautiful artwork
Your comments make me appreciate the album even more. I also love your anticipation to Saturdays just because it was 4 minutes and the phrase you said when Chicago play that "I'm broken but I'm hopeful". Louis said the album was written with the tour in mind. Thank you for the video!!
I love your reactions to Louis' music. Why do you think Louis has not received the recognition he deserves for his songs - great music and great lyrics.
Alex it is so much fun to watch your reactions 😊 and I am also amazed at how Louis’s voice is just amazing now! His voice seems like it is so much stronger now vs earlier years! He is totally amazing!
"maybe louis tomlinson's falsetto is my sexuality" is just,, yes, agreed, need it on a shirt immediately And quick edit cause I couldn't agree more with the "know your number" change up at 36:24 ish,, the way that tempo change literally feels like a physical blow? My first time listening I was fully on my bedroom floor by that and just punching the syllables on the beat so it just,, hits home?? Pun very much intended
I am here for everyone who admires Louis- I saw him in Hamburg and it was soooo good. And NOW he is going to play STADIUMS in LATAM next year. Couldn't be prouder what he is achieving so far. LOVE Louis- and the fact that he brings back the music I used to listen to in my younger years. Always be a Louie.....
Common people reminded me of that interview of Louis years ago where he said I couldn't find 40 pence to catch the bus to go to school when I forgot to ask my mum fr some😫 and now we're here in a tour bus
I love the fact that you enjoy and appreciate the guitar moments in most of the songs, all the instruments along with the lyrics ❤ Lovely reaction, new sub. Also, i highly recommend you to watch the AWAY FROM HOME FESTIVAL that Louis stream last year, to hear how he make a electronic song as Just Hold On (the one with Steve Aoki) to a rocky punk sound, more his actual taste. Most of the songs in Walls doesnt hear as actually for astonishing live moments but they do, live are absolutely so vibing. You can start with Fearless live (you will preach the guitar solo and all the band sound). If he was single absolutely i will snogged to Michael Blackwell, Louis' band guitarrist 😁 😁 😁
@@alexray_music ruclips.net/video/OZHUmLg8FXA/видео.html Well here is the full festival, its amazing the music, the documentary so essential to understand the journey and mustly now that FAITH IN THE FUTURE is already out make more sense, this festival was before he goes for the first time this year on tour for Walls, its just a taste of how a Louis Tomlinson concert is 🔥 ♥ Also the second comment inside the link have the timing of each song, and he played the whole album (including perfect now ♡) that during tour he take it out from the setlist, sadly 😢
Another great reaction, Alex!! You are such a Louie and vibe at all the right parts: love it! Couple of things: Saturdays and Silver Tongues are connected by a G chord in the end of the former and in the beginning of the latter. And also by verses about those trainers! And yes to a Taylor nod in Holding on to Heartache, thank you very much! You've been the only one to mention it...

Hi! been following u since the midnights reaction w/ Blake. I loved this reaction, loved your dedication and attention to the lyrics and the fact that you connected some topics with his older stuff. Wish you the best with the channel :) greets from Uruguay from another die-hard swiftie.
hey loved your reaction!! I LOVE when people focus on the lyrics and analyze it and also appreciate the production. And tbh Louis' music deserves nothing less. His lyrics are so- idek how to explain it but i love taylor and Louis because of their lyrics mostly. And also btw i think you should also check out Niall's music. Both the albums. Idk i just have a feeling you'll like it. Because again- LYRICS. And vocals also. Niall and Louis have like my comfort voices. Their music just feels like a warm hug
and if you do decide to do Niall's whole discography, all the very best because it's going to be an emotional rollercoaster. The first album is very acoustic-y, AND the second album- just good luck
@@alexray_music and some songs need to be long. Like Harry Styles She or SOTT or Foo Fighters I am A River or Congregation or Eagles Hotel California or (last one 😁) John Miles Music ❤️
The fact that you talked about him touring the songs is so important. That was also a huge part of how they wrote so many of 1D's songs from like Midnight Memories onwards because they were touring in stadiums at that point. (Except for Made in the AM, which I am TRULY devastated never got a tour.) Your reactions to Chicago and Written All Over Your Face are so relatable. I cannot BELIEVE this man's growth as a songwriter. I feel so lucky to have been a 1D stan in 2012 and really see his progression through the years because hooooooly crap.
About The Greatest, what u said... Really... For a song with that big chorus, his voice to glide through so smoothly is such a big contrast and along with that lyrics his throw of voice is just perfect...
Watching you react to this album feels like how we all were LIVING when listening to one direction records as they dropped back in the day SPEECHLESS, SHAKING, SCREAMING AND SOBBING
I’m rewatching album reactions now that FITF tour has finished. He’s in his 👑 of Festivals Era for the summer. 😂 Louis has grown sm since the album release. After going to my own show & seeing so many of the concerts live-streamed, it’s been even more difficult to pick a top 5 for this album. The HOTH bridge live hits sm harder. WAOYF, The Greatest, & Common People have never wavered, but there just isn’t enough room at the top. His LIVE album was such an amazing collaboration with his fans. I wonder if you have any new thoughts after your own experiences. Tysm for such a great reaction & supporting our Louis! 💙🩵💙
I love that you talk about Louis and also Taylor in this reaction!!!! cause I love both of them and find conections in the way they write songs 😍🥺❤️ saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
His band is phenomenal..the drumming on Walls is simply beyond superb! The harmonies..❤️etc, etc, etc ! But this album ages his sound to 30 beautifully🎂🌧🌤
I LOVE CHICAGO TOO!! First time listened he sang "just because it didn't work, doesn't MEAN it's meaningless to me, it's just wasn't MEANT to be" it just hit, bwoah. then at the last part, again, with your number, my jumper. if this man ever decided he didn't want to sing anymore (i hope he never), people would still waiting for more music from him. he is such a great lyricist, and his songwriting should only gets better in time.
Oh I loved this video so much. It’s so interesting hearing you talk about songwriting and your approach to Louis music and how you listen to his songs. That album truly is a masterpiece🤍

I’ve commented this on Caitlin’s video as well but after watching Positive Steven’s reaction I can’t shake the feeling that Saturdays is about Louis’ grief and loss in a “I’m finding you in the everyday moments that bring me back to the pain I felt when I lost you but still make me smile” kind of way as opposed to a “Two Of Us” kind of way
Oh shit that hurts 😞
What a fantastic reaction Alex!! as a long time Louis fan, my expectations for FITH were high and I was still blown away! Im a huge Taylor & Louis fan and it’s been wonderful listening to your reactions & breakdowns of both their music ❤ just love your musical insights & commentary
Thank you for listening with me!!!! ❤️🥹 (and accepting me into the fandom)
@@alexray_music welcome aboard the Louis train 🫂
((That verse is my sexuality))
Same girl sameeee!!!
Your reactions>>>
Thank you 🥹❤️
I see Louis n I click. I'm a gigantic fan. Loved your reaction. Thank you. 😊
Thank you for watching!!! And I’m so excited for his shows 🥹 he’s so passionate about performing
Watching your reaction gave me shivers all over again. Such a great fucking album! Really enjoyed your video :) thanks for sharing!
Thank YOU for hanging out with me ❤️🥹
I love your reactions to Louis' music. Why do you think Louis has not received the recognition he deserves for his songs - great music and great lyrics.
Hoth and chicago are my favs the way i started crying from pcd when i heard hoth
Alex it is so much fun to watch your reactions 😊 and I am also amazed at how Louis’s voice is just amazing now! His voice seems like it is so much stronger now vs earlier years! He is totally amazing!
"maybe louis tomlinson's falsetto is my sexuality" is just,, yes, agreed, need it on a shirt immediately
And quick edit cause I couldn't agree more with the "know your number" change up at 36:24 ish,, the way that tempo change literally feels like a physical blow? My first time listening I was fully on my bedroom floor by that and just punching the syllables on the beat so it just,, hits home?? Pun very much intended
Stop we all go to a Louie concert together and flash mob him with shirts that say that. That sweet boy would blush so hard
And THE TEMPO. CHANGE. WAS. SO. EFFECTIVE. YES.
@@alexray_music yes pleaseee lets do that
I am here for everyone who admires Louis- I saw him in Hamburg and it was soooo good. And NOW he is going to play STADIUMS in LATAM next year. Couldn't be prouder what he is achieving so far. LOVE Louis- and the fact that he brings back the music I used to listen to in my younger years. Always be a Louie.....
Welcome to falling in love and being head over heels with Louis Tomlinson ❤we understand 🥹🫶🏼🥰
I love Louis tomlinson
Common people reminded me of that interview of Louis years ago where he said I couldn't find 40 pence to catch the bus to go to school when I forgot to ask my mum fr some😫 and now we're here in a tour bus
I love and support everyone who loves and supports Louis 😊
I loved your reaction
Watching you go through the same emotions I went through... Oh my god love uu❤
Thanks for hanging out with me ❤️❤️❤️
I love the fact that you enjoy and appreciate the guitar moments in most of the songs, all the instruments along with the lyrics ❤
Lovely reaction, new sub.
I’ll check it out! Send me all the Louis suggestions! Love a live performance and love Michael

Well here is the full festival, its amazing the music, the documentary so essential to understand the journey and mustly now that FAITH IN THE FUTURE is already out make more sense, this festival was before he goes for the first time this year on tour for Walls, its just a taste of how a Louis Tomlinson concert is 🔥 ♥
Also the second comment inside the link have the timing of each song, and he played the whole album (including perfect now ♡) that during tour he take it out from the setlist, sadly 😢
Thank you!! Genuinely such a good album and he has the best fans.
Omg love your reactions, Louis is and amazing person and I love he’s getting the recognition he deserves
i got tickets for this tour and i’m so excited to hear these songs live. i’m just so pumped!! ahhhhh
“I’m hurting but I have hope” is a perfect summary of this album
Thoroughly enjoyed this reaction from start to finish. It's always wonderful when people discover our boy 💖 I say as if he's not a 30 year old man haha. Subscribed and excited for more videos from you!
Thank you 🥹🥹🥹 I’m so glad you’re here and I can’t wait to hear more of our boy 😉
And always the strings. Sooooo perfect. Just perfect ⭐️
The arrangements were spot on across the board. The strings in various songs really brought it all together
I FEEL SOOOO HAPPY WATCHING THIS VIDEO!!! thank you so muchhh, you brought me such a good feeling of happiness and proud, louis is absolutely amazing and im sure he’d be reallllyyyyy greatful and aprecciete your reaction to each song. thank you again❤️❤️❤️❤️
Awwww thank you so much 🥹🥹 that was such a nice comment and I really hope I did it justice. Him and the band did a great job on the album and I can’t wait to see them live. Thank you so much for watching and hanging out with me!!
I admire your beauty and your kindness. Thank you it was fun to watch your reaction. 🤍
Hi! been following u since the midnights reaction w/ Blake. I loved this reaction, loved your dedication and attention to the lyrics and the fact that you connected some topics with his older stuff. Wish you the best with the channel :) greets from Uruguay from another die-hard swiftie.
THANK YOU! I’m so glad you liked it 🥹🥹 and I’m so happy you’re here, that was so kind.
"he just killed me & he's doing this?" YES EXACTLY
Yes! Headline gives me Jimmy Buffet vibes too!
Louis Tomlinson can sing “hey babe” in my ear and I would die in piece
hey loved your reaction!!
Niall is next on my list! I’ve heard great things about his last two albums!
I’m scared omg
He'll yeah! Saturdays needs to be long long long
When I saw that 4:30 song I was like ah god he’s gonna end me
@@alexray_music he ends me everytime 😂 even with only the brave
@@alexray_music and some songs need to be long. Like Harry Styles She or SOTT or Foo Fighters I am A River or Congregation or Eagles Hotel California or (last one 😁) John Miles Music ❤️
I love your reaction. Louis Tomlinson is really amazing.
I am SO glad I started with Walls because seeing his progression is astounding. Walls was fantastic and this was on another level.
About The Greatest, what u said... Really... For a song with that big chorus, his voice to glide through so smoothly is such a big contrast and along with that lyrics his throw of voice is just perfect...
He played with so many aspects of his vocals this album and I loved it!
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE REACTION!! i love your perceptions of the songs! suscribed
Thank you!!!
Louis Voice give us eargasm 🥰🥰
Ela tirando a blusa depois de WAOYF kkkkkkkkkkkkkk a primeira reação de todo mundo
Your reaction to Written All Over Your Face is my favorite thing 😂 and girl, SAME
I love that you talk about Louis and also Taylor in this reaction!!!! cause I love both of them and find conections in the way they write songs 😍🥺❤️ saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
Omg I enjoyed ur reaction to midnights in Blake's channel. I am so glad u r checking Louis ❤️ love the reaction
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ I’m all in for Louis now!!!
51:00 yeah, and that's such a louis and taylor thing to do
His band is phenomenal..the drumming on Walls is simply beyond superb! The harmonies..❤️etc, etc, etc ! But this album ages his sound to 30 beautifully🎂🌧🌤
01:05:34 shapes become language - he Communicates thr clothes, shapes, cryptic msgs
He outdid himself ❤️ thanks so much for hanging out with me and listening!
it’s a joy watching people discover louis ❤️
I always go back and forth whether to cut or not but I I’d rather give you guys the whole video so you can listen with me!
This reaction to Chicago was us all. That first line hit everyone. We've been here for over a decade and had no fucking idea he had someone with whom he wanted more kids..so yeah..heartbreaking
It’s just so relatable too. Fuck. Like in a relationship with someone and you plan your kids’ names. Shit hurts
Made it to the end. You kept me company during my walk home through a new trail. Needed this for my mental health!
Thanks so much for hanging out with me during your walk ❤️❤️❤️ I hope the trail was great!
