I have been coming back to this tune basically every month for 8 years, it is one of my favourite renditions of this tune. Sláinte, and cheers to everyone of all languages
When discussing Irish music is there any real difference between the cittern and bouzouki? The bouzouki is in the cittern family I am just curious if there is a different scale or tuning when discussing cittern bs bouzouki. Anyone able to help?
very very very well done!!!! nice abraxas and nice have a very good bouzouki player!!!! !!! D if some day you will go to Spain, Asturias, Gijón please send me a message! and will go out to play some tunes in one session here ina a pub :D:D:D
SpiralArchitect Hey there. I’m no flute expert but it’s probably just a really good quality Low D flute. Check out ErikTheFlutemaker. He has a carbon fiber Low D flute for not too much $. Damn thing will last forever. I love mine. Cheers.
+ערן קרן No, it's not. You have certainly different techniques from fingering to embouchure. Of couse, differences on you sound production depend on your modern flute technique but, in general, you need to re-learn (or unlearn) some things. That is the instrument itself and then, the music (you have specific aspects regarding irish traditional music).
+Matías Espinosa So you are saying it is, kind of similar because i always try to expend me technique and i am versitile. where can i learn the habits of this music?
Well, they're similar in the way they're flutes... Even if you're versatile you'll need to develop different technics. I recommend listening to irish music or other traditional folk music on simple system flutes, so you get the feeling of it. Of course, having a good teacher will help you a lot!
