I think Red Bull + Ferrari is the ultimate get. I think that’s worth more than having Verstappen, you can afford to have a Perez, Leclerc etc instead if you can those two constructors
I’d steer way clear of Alpine (slow, risky drivers, and reliability issues). Haas (and the drivers) seem like a better option AND it’s a nice budget enabler.
Thanks for the video Rob, very good watch as always. I agree with you on moving to a RED, FER base. RB look really bad for Fantasy (as well as in real life too!). AMR may do ok, get good budget rise, but STR is too risky imo. Also, with a RED, FER, PER base, if PER consistently does well and keeps going up by 0.5-1m, as long as not unlucky with budget picks, I think it's possible to switch PER to VER in coming weeks, creating the best base. My main consideration is that one of the "rules" of Fantasy is that you have to prioritise constructors over drivers for points. I gambled on AMR for Saudi for quick budget building, but I think I'm not prepared to risk it again, need to move to best possible team for points, which for me is RED, FER, PER base.

I, like you, tried to catch some price rises on a cheaper constructor but that backfired and im not interested in waiting any longer for RIC/TSU to perform. I think once I’ve got the budget to get VER FER RED, then I’ll think about what other options are worth a punt. Right now, just gotta get to that skeleton
I changed my second team from MAX + RBR + VCARB to LEC + RBR + FER and scored 210 points. Pretty happy with that move! 😊 I have actually overtaken my first team, where I am running MAX + FER + MER. Now I am considering changing that team to a PER/LEC/SAI + RBR + FER build. Currently the MER just looks to troublesome to stick to a MER+FER team. Additionally the RBR constructor has so far leveled or outscored a 2x MAX. What do you think? Would you keep a MER+FER build for another week?
I think sticking to Ferrari and RBR while they’re hot is the way to go! Very jealous you made the move last week. I probably should have as well but wanted to wait one more race. I’ll be definitely on them come Australia!

I am thinking about playing a little price game and just going for drivers who will have most chance of going up in price. And if I would gain 1.2-1.5 million in next two races, I'd have Max RedBull, Ferrari. I don't think its about maxsimasing the most points in the first few races when the season is so long. Thoughts?
That’s a fair approach, a few others are considering playing the long game to build budget early. I think Haas might have a couple more prices in them. I’d also expect Aston too as well, but that relies on stroll keeping it on the track 😕
Im using Aston and Max and if Stroll is doing okay and Max gets FL then i think its better than Ferrari and Leclerc but if Max doesnt have FL its worse slightly, and i also think Max is more realible

If AST continue to develop the car at a rate they expect will push them it to the front and they get consistent results, then I think pairing them with Max and RBR could pay off! Will have to wait and see though. I probably wouldn’t rely on fastest lap being a factor in your decision though - it’s quite difficult to predict!
i'm soooo close to the dream RB FER MAX meta but stupid STR and ZHO last time out kinda wrecked that for at least another week. Can you remind me before the Saudi race next year not to have STR in my team please Rob? 😁 i loved ZHO last year but that's 2 weeks in a row that they've had a horror show for a pit stop so it's making me wonder who else I could swap him for next time out for a safer bet.

What about the other “S” word Sargeant. He’s been steadily quietly getting fantasy pts and budget increases?
He’s been sneaky reliable so far! No points finishes but in terms of fantasy he is consistent this year. Maybe one we should continue to monitor!
