VIDEO AVATAR DRAWN BY SORA STAR:
ko-fi.com/sora...
For the minion disguising as Baba Yaga, there could always a guard or staff see that one.
The costume was a security measure just to be safe.
Exactly
Was thinking the same thing, though the movie should have included some eye witnesses.
I remember Ozzy and Strut all too well. The dynamic between them was interesting and funny to see, with Ozzie being fixated on eating eggs whilst Strut is just all too willing to eat vegetation as a substitute.
Pretty sure they're omnivores
And are basiclly the Pinky and Brain
@@Thedragonlover95yet in the end they still can act as really foul villain, by trying to kill the kids in cruel way
@@prasetyodwikuncorojati2434 Yup
John Cleese as a cat was something i did not expect to be the best gift to American tail 2.
I mean he can't say no he has too many divorces.
How they portrayed Pterano in the land before time 7 is what they should’ve done with king magnifico and queen Amaya in Disney’s wish
Agreed like they could be trying to get hold of the star boy(let's be honest we want asha x star boy) because they think if they get hold of him they could grant more people's wishes and at the end of the movie they realize they are in the wrong and while the people of Rosa's forgive them they still punish them
@@nathanwilliams585wish was just a badly written movie overall. Plain and simple. It easily could’ve been better.
@@BrennySpain agreed
Or King Magnifico could have still grant folks wishes in a non wish granting way like Wizard of Oz and Uncle Grandpa
Fun fact: Amaya's VA said that during auditions, Magnifico was good while Amaya was the only villain, but by callbacks, their roles were reversed.
As a kid, I was a "Land before time"-mega fan, having watched all the movies multible times.
Now, as an adult, I realize how much of them I have forgotten.
Though watching this video did bring back a few memories...
I know it's a nitpick, but Dil is a Deinosuchus, not a Deinonychus (Which is an actual dinosaur species)
One is a fleet-footed dinosaur, and the other is a belly-dragging "lizard"; you should be alright for pointing out that oversight.
@@TheMightyN🤓☝️ ACTUALLY, DEINOSUCHUS IS AN ACIENT CROCODILIAN 🤓☝️
Pterano might have been one of the key players when it came to my undying fascination with villainy.
19:56 holy crap that scene hit hard. and it couldn't be more true right now. it's terrifying how accurate it is.
Thank you Upton Sinclair
Yeah~ be it big wig governments, greedy companies, or just small people in charge of big plots of land: they find ways.
After re-watching that movie it was weird and a bit scary how well-written those three mice were. How they spoke and planned with each other. etc
especially when Fivel's dad asks one of them for forgivness and the the two explains how that was simply a mind trick to get what they wanted etc
I love Don Bluth and I am still shocked that they made 14 Land before Time sequels
From what i heard he had very little to do with the sequels. Idk if it was a license thing or not ...
There was a tv show too!
@@TalesAsToldByCbluthe wasn't involved in a lot of the squeals they were mostly don by a b team
I believe he only had pieces of a role in the first seven and nothing more.
@dexstewart862 It was better than most of the sequel movies, too.
24:13: I don't blame anyone for being confused with Ludmilla's plan at that plot point and lower her rank for it, cause it did confuse me when rewatching the movie too when I got older until I considerd that the henchman dressing up for the kidnapping despite no one else being around was actually a failsafe; Ludmilla strikes me as the type to not leave anything to chance or consider that plans aren't 100% foolproof no matter how well thought out; like a guard could've happened by on patrol and heard the struggle, or a late night servant; or the prince could've caught the henchman by surprise and yell for help; so if the kidnapping failed or there was a witness, the prince and witness wouldn't have seen a member of the guard, they would've seen Baba Yaga; which speaks to Ludmilla's planning ability to me
Special note on the All Dogs go to Heaven Christmas Carol, this actually takes place in the same show under the same name where Belladonna does actually exist. She's kind of like the Devil that went down to Georgia kind of villain where she does enlist Carface and Killer to get Charlie and friends to get them to make deals or play a game of "Win or Lose your Soul." Also serving as a rival to Annabelle, the angel.
In my opinion, Carface is the best Don Bluth villain with a great villain arc from being a sinister gangster to a minion lackey. And he also has a great villainous personality and rightfully deserves the consequences of his actions in the end in the sequel.
The villain decay in movie 2 is some of the worst I've ever seen, they constantly humiliate him for the excuse of comic relief. The change of voice actor in movie 2 also portrays him much more pathetically.
Gotta like Carface. 👍🏽👍🏽
@@VillainousWarlordTo be fair, could any mere mortal *not* come up second fiddle to a literal demon?
But he. . . Gets redeemed in the final movie.
@@Topdoggie7 But that is backwards to what the sequel when he exchange his soul for the collar. So he did got what he deserved.
I literally grew up with Fievel Goes West, so I have a personal nostalgia for Cat R. Waul. Hell, I grew up with Fievel Goes West for so long that I never even knew that it was a sequel to another animated film, An American Tail, until I was in high school.
I thinl Belladonna wants to ruin Christmas for the hell of it. When Charlie asks her what she gets out of the scheme if Carface gets all the presents, she literally just goes 'i get to ruin Christmas.' And i do like that as you said it's simple and thats what you need sometimes.
I also wish other studio's had put the same level of effort into their direct-to-video sequels as Don Bluth did with Bartok the Magnificent. Like i know why they can't/wouldn't as there was no guarentee it would be profitable, but still i wish they'd at least put that effort into the art and whatnot.
Cat R Waul was such a fun villain. He's absolutely in love with himself, and his admiration of Tanya's singing adds a little bit more depth to him without trying to paint some tragic villain. The fact he loves her voice enough that he'll jeopardize his entire scheme he spent the whole movie bragging about is a fun addition to his narcissism that doesn't feel out of place after seeing his initial reaction to her. He's really not at a complex bad guy, but he works really well for what he is and he's just charismatic enough with the mice that you can understand why they're so trusting with him. He really sells his bullshit well enough that nobody notices the stench.
24:09 Slight counterpoint to this criticism, my reasoning for why Ludmilla had her minion disguised as Baba Yaga is that she likely didn't want Prince Ivan to see who it actually was and make the connection to her. She just wasn't anticipating the fact that Vol would put him in the tower instead of just killing Ivan somewhere offscreen.
May I stop you there. Ozzy only sought revenge because Strut convinced his brother of Littlefoot and friends getting the egg back; he was completely fine giving off a warning and go about his day. All other failed nest raids were purely coincidental--by the kids just near the same location.
NOW you're talking!
Cat R. Waul was my first.
Mine too!
24:09 to be fair that may have been a precaution in case
1. Someone ended up spotting them.
Or 2 The prince managed to escape the kidnapping itself as it was happening, and thus if the kidnapping didn’t work out they could still use Yaga as a scapegoat.
Icky and Dil are actually my favs, they’re just iconic
Agreed.
I mainly like them cause that movie was pretty much the first dinosaur movie I saw as a kid since I wasn’t allowed to watch Jurassic Park yet.
28:11 - He is also wonderfully voiced by John Cleese.
In a role John ironically didn’t like.
@@thomasspongeconductor2222 Oh, what a pity since he excels at it.
As a Spinosaurus, I see this list as an absolute win.
Grasping, Toplofty, and O'Bloat are almost too realistic for the escapism of a kids movie. They're so realistic they don't even really get their comeuppance
Yeah the only thing that happens is their workers unionize and they have to work with their demands in order to for them to make money
Other than losing their control on the police and by extension, on their workers
In retrospective, it's funny to see how all villains from the Fievel movies are deceivers of some kind
@@user-unos111 with one exception. That said villain is on the list but he’s more of a lackey.
Do Stephen King adaptation villains next
Or even Tim Burton’s villains or an update on Illumination villains
Cat R. Waul is one of my favorite Don Bluth villain
2:44 Also Martin gose from American as a child to British as adult
0:18 deinonychus? Don't you mean deinosuchus?
Yeah, I was gonna say...
Icthyornis in real life eat fish and other small things
Damn! American Tale 3 went harder than I remember as a kid. I should give this film another watch.
Red the cat demon is just a lower demon that works for The devil dog from the first film
even charlie says to red "Your Master is pulling back on your leash"
Maybe try to rank every Nickelodeon villians from shows and films
Just a thought regarding Ludmilla: perhaps her minion's Baba Yaga disguise might've been a precaution in case they were seen by any of the palace staff.
Pterano is my #2 for best Dom Bluth Seaquel antagonist as the great Michael York did his voice and singing and his arc throughout the film
2:35- Watch me turn into a mad scientist who relies on brute force when it's the exact opposite of my established characterization, but not in a thematically poetic manner.
This kind of video was unexpected and, ill be honest, its a fantastic idea.
Not gonna lie, Ozzie and Strut’s egg song literally lives rent free in my head and WILL play in my head every time I crave eggs. My husband hates it.
Been looking forward to this one since your Don Bluth originals villains ranking. I've been really enjoying these villain rankings. I like that you actually take time to genuinely look for redeeming qualities even in characters that aren't that great, and I've seen you do it with movies to. Most reviewers just sort of brush that kind of stuff off, but you really take time to acknowledge something you think is good about a character that you think others might not notice or appreciate. You really have a talent for that.
How about Steven Spielberg or Tim Burton villains? They’ve got some pretty interesting (and sometimes crap) villains in their filmography.
I'll be honest; Stone of Cold Fire was the last LBT movie I fully enjoyed and I will still watch them for the nostalgia.
I personally don't think of an All Dogs Christmas Carol as a sequel, I think of it as a special ; not canon
Yeah, just a casual look makes me agree - Red is basically the perfect villain for an All-Dogs sequel; evil wearing a seductive face, until he gets what he wants. Then you see the monster behind the mask!
I'll have to give that one another look some time.
I feel like Martin still had jealousy within him, but he was able to push it aside for his brother. The experiments NIHM put him through may have amplified that jealousy and hatred along with his intellect, which didn't help that he was going crazy from the shock therapy the scientist put him through
I’m glad Red got in, but I’m bummed you didn’t talk about his kickass villain song “It Feels So Good to Be Bad”. It’s the best part of the movie. Not only that, he’s played by George Hearn, who is widely known for his role as Sweeney Todd, taking over the role after Len Cariou.
There was this Ukrainian band my grandmom introduced me to about a decade ago, and at the end of one song, it kinda reminded me of how When You’re Big ends.
Maybe it’s just me, but as I got older, I started to notice It Feels so Good to be Bad foreshadows that Carface sold his soul to Red, based on how he explains why he can’t go look for the horn, especially at “But I’m an angel!” “Not anymore.”
All Dogs Christmas Carol is a series finale to the All Dogs cartoon series that started airing after All Dogs 2 was made. I'm curious if that series works as a redemption arc for Carface or if it still lacks believability with that context
Dil is a Deinosuchus, not a Deinonychus tho...
Also, Pterano is a Pteranodon
Pteranodon is a member of the pterodactyl family, so calling it that is not technically wrong.
The other two villains there are (oversized) Rhamphorhynchus, though, which is not a pterodactyl.
17:57
Is it just me or does the mouse dressed in purple looked like Mr burns from the Simpson when I was a kid?
All Dogs Christmas Carol was my introduction to the series so I didn't think about how weird it was until long after when I saw the other films. Even then though I wrote it off as being a story within the All Dogs movies since it is framed as a story being told to puppies in heaven.
You should rank power rangers villains
I imagine the Baba Yaga disguise was a simple precaution for the off chance someone unexpected was around to witness it.
"GRASS GUZZLER!"
Man, it's been so long - I had no idea they got in a pun like that!
That's Michael York as Pterano! I thought I knew his voice... Great casting choice!
I agree with your description of Red and even have him as my #1 pick for best sequel villain.
My only criticism with Red is that i 100% believe that he should have been the Hellhound from the 1st film, think about it, Charlie was set to be the 1st dog to fall to hell and be the Hellhound's first soul thx to Charlie being banished from heaven he had every right to his soul until Charlie's noble sacrifice earned him redemption, feeling cheated the hellhound sees a use and irony in using Charlie to get all of the dog souls in heaven as revenge for his humiliation in the first film add on Red's personality and you have a perfectly devilish and sinister villain that made a big come back and being more tied to the first film as Charlie faces off against the very devil he briefly met in the fist film.
"LiP sInKiNg 101, LeSsOn 4 hAvE, tHe LiPs mOvE WiTh ThE wOrDs"
4:07 - 4:15
"LESSON FAILED, GO HOME AND CRY"
24:09 Too be fair with the whole Baba Yaga disguise, it's entirely possible that Ludmilla did this in case a guard showed during the kidnapping. Sure, we don't see a guard in the Prince's bedroom, but it's entirely possible that there's at least one guard outside, or near, the royal bedroom.
Red and Cat R. Waul are my favorites. Both act like good guys to get what they want. I would love to see a video on ranking animal love interests from Disney to Non/Disney films. Here are a few names Maya (At Jesus' Side), Sasha (All Dogs go to Heaven 2), Essie (The Flight before Christmas), Jenna (Balto), Bianca (Sheep and Wolves), Hazel (Rock Dog 3), Kiara (Lion King 2), Kate and Lilly (Alpha and Omega) and Neera (Dinosaur).
Technically Treasure of Manhattan Island is American Tail 2. Fievel Goes West was a spinoff movie that kicked of a TV series
Mcbrusque is the PERFECT and most REALISTIC example of overt corruption being largely unaccountable. Considering how big overt corruption is in the United States even to this day, it's great that a kid's movie like An American Tail 3 finally teaches people that cops aren't all do-gooder heroes with badges and guns like TVs and movies say they are.
We need more movies that can teach this lesson today.
When I was a child I always thought Cat R. Waul had a crush on Tanya, crazy
I haven't watched your videos in years. Good to see you
kind of wish that the monster that Madame Mousey built was the original the remains of the secret weapon from the first movie that they were able scavenge and turn into the monster.
Yeesssssss I love that the American Tail sequel villains are getting recognized. They’re so good.
Number 6 is my favorite, for the reasons listed and also because I love Ronnie Perlman.
26:25 this was also John Cleese's first voice role in an animated film
Actually, Belladonna kind of makes sense... she's like a demon/succubus, and Christmas is a celebration of Christ, so it's only natural she would hate a day celebrating the birth of her mortal enemy. But hey, that's just a theory.
And let us not forget that Mr Grasping is voiced by Hellboy himself, Rob Perlman.
At 30:46 if I have a nickel for every time Jambareeqi put a Land Before Time villain on the number one spot. I'll have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's kinda weird it happened twice
Can you do Ranking's of Disney Sequel villains?
A NIMH crazed Martin wasn't really a villain just a sad boy wanting to be the chosen one and Hype was just a bully who changes his ways
As a kid I mean you would pretty much not care and think it's great the film. But as you get to the point where you're like a teenager than adults you're like man this is just stupid. Like the whole idea of making Martin the villain just made absolutely no sense. Give me the fact that nobody even mentions auntie shrew being the one that pushed him down that path while his mother just stood there and did absolutely nothing to intervene. Really does tell you how literally this was not a way to go and kind of justified his reason for becoming a villain in the first place. Not to mention they threw Mrs brisby under the bus. She did also save the rats of NIMH from freaking death so yeah she got no credit whatsoever no statue in her honor. The whole story about prophecies and stuff was incredibly pointless. The writers who made this second sequel did not watch the first film. Nicodemus the leader of the rats was literally not a prophet. Although in the trailer he was described as a sorcerer like rats but either way that's still kind of ruins his character. Especially considering the considered a prophet along with auntie shrew literally praising him despite the fact she called the rats as troublesome hooligans like Jeremy The Crow. She even tried to feed Jeremy to dragon the cat.
Land before time IV really deserved to be the first proper sequel. It literally is a few edits away from being a B Minus at the most, down to replacing their villains with just generic roars and caws.
I REALLY dig Carface. I saw the original ADGTH *because* it had a Pit Bull in it and I liked that Carface was the good guy in the Christmas special. I have a few Carface figures from the fast food promos.

I was OBSESSED with Evil!Martin as a six year old. The fact that Eric Idle voiced him in that state is that movie’s only redeeming quality and he definitely does sound like he had a lot of fun voicing him, lol. His villain song was pretty good too and even though it isn’t Disney he makes a pretty interesting twist villain.
12:11 with Jeff Bennett doing a Spot on Eric Idle impression
And Rob Paulsen’s Strut voice reminded me of Toby Jones.
@@thomasspongeconductor2222yeah i can hear a bit of Dobby in Struts' voice now you mention it
Man I miss The Land Before Time series (The Very Sad Fate of Ducky's original VA notwithstanding) also man I've been missing out I didn't know (or forgot as a kid) there were more than two American Tail stories
Amazing video,fantastic job
…did anybody else just now notice that Anabelle and Belladonna don’t have ears?!? Like, everyone else does, but they just… don’t
Little sad Cat R. Waul is 3rd place. I grew up watching Feivel Goes West and his two-faced scheming ways was awesome. Although I never understood how people fell for his ruse, though now its obvious he hung back when the cats attacked the NY slums.
16:15 interesting thing about the dimwitted one it’s heavily implied that he’s faking it

Madam Mousey and Pterano tie for my favorite.
Mcbrusque and Grasping and Co. Are to me are the darkest villans as thier terrible actions are sadly real and today on the rise! Mousey was lower as yes her plan to kill all mices is evil but her evilness is not as meancing as the others. Still AAT3 is underated and i wished have more respect for the themes, and thier villian song was gpod as Ron Pearlman, Tony Jay make a good duo combo.
Mr. Grasping is mouse version of Mr Burns
Afternoon, Jambareeqi. I loved watching your Villains ranking video, hey If your interested I've thought of a cartoon you could do another villain ranking
Video on.. Are you familiar with the cartoon:" RUPERT"? because that cartoon has a lot of villains. Although granted all the bad guys usually just appear
In only one episode. Still I think it would be a good cartoon you could do a 3rd "Villains Ranking" video on.
Okay, that's all hope you like my comment & cartoon suggestion... Goodbye :-)
Jambereeqi do a list on Cobra kai/ karate kid villains.
For me all the so call villains from "the Land before time films" would be on the lowest of this list. Then the most of the villains from the Angels/Demon Dogs. Then the would be above.
Then
7th goes to Ludmilla, she was very clever and turn into a dragon.
6th Madame Mousey Dog
5th the three trio bisness mice.
4th. The crooked cop mouse.
3rd Mafia Dog, Carface.
2nd Cat R. Waul, he was very close to completing his plain in the very end and add a lot of minions.
1st place-Crazy mad scientist mouse, since he was able to make super army and turn the minds of humans into animals. He also had the most potential to do more damage to his world then all the other villains on this list.
My top 2 about Don Bluth villains is
1st place: Drake from the peeble and the penguin
2nd place: Cat R Waul from An American tale Fievel go far west.
And now the finals: which one will won the Don Bluth champion crown ?
Can you rank all the paramount villains?
Oh! Red is number 2! That makes my inner child that loved All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 very happy.
Solid roster of the Don Bluth sequel villains and surprised Pertano manage to be on the top, over Red.
And I just notice both Villains list of Don Bluth have a Land Before Time villain as Number 1….. huh.
All Dogs Go To Heaven deserves the same amount of sequels as Land Before Time does and Hellhound Red Belladonna Sharptooth Plated Sharptooth Dil and The Raptors are my favorite villains while Carface Killer and Pterano are my favorite reformed villains
How about reviewing Luis and the aliens animated movie aka Luis and his friends from Outer space movie?
I only remember so many Land Before Time movies, but the fact there were around 14 is pretty insane. I think I had seen up to ~5 as a kid, until I saw an entire play of each movie on a movie channel as an adult.
Sad thing is that the further they go, the more lame they are. :( I don't remember the last one I watched, but it was so lame it was practically brain rot, though maybe not as bad as Cocomelon. It was just awful.
7:02 I think she’s from the animated series
Am I the only one who sees Jim Cummings for the voice of McBrusque?
It's so weird to listen to LBT songs (especially the villain songs) in the original, I watched the Portuguese dub and the songs were quite good
Now I'll say everyone has a right their opinion but I LOVE DILL AND ICKY HOW DARE YOU lol love your vids❤
I still think that you need to look at the first chapter of First John in the case of Red, since God always dominates Satan & the latter cannot return to Heaven.
I’d say Red is number one Pterano is a redeemed villain Red isn’t he’s a literal demon.
Both are Struthiomimeus and said dino was inthe omnivore category (ate both meat and vegetation) only Ozzy is fixated on eggs and eggs alone
It's sad that Eric Idle is the Best Thing is Secret of NIHM 2
