@@HH-hd7nd campaign actually. I imagine hes much weaker in multiplayer. Througout his campaign he acumulates buffs from literally everything and becomes a one man doomstack by default.
Sisters doesn't have the option to dismount, Mazadamundi can nuke enemies by consistently casting comet of Cassandra, malekith is very tanky even on foot and Manfred is the ultimate anti infantry because of his ability to cast lots of wind of death. Teclis is the only one that gets huge buff from his mount.
actually i prefer the sisters on the eagle for the following reasons: 1. the eagle is smaller, so they take less damage from missiles. 2. i prefer to summon the dragon rather than the eagle. because then the dragon can go into melee and the sisters keep on shooting
If we go by campaign, things look a lot different. Sisters would probably still be in top 5 though(I also prefer them on the Eagle. Smaller target and faster too). This is probably their "skirmish/MP" version though, and if we look at max potential instead of cost efficiency, the dragon mount makes sense.
It depends. If the enemy has something that can catch the eagle, then I'd rather have the dragon. If they can't, I'll take the eagle. So it depends on how long you think the battle will be. If it's gonna be very long battle, then the bird will limit damage potential bc their melee won't be very good when they're out of ammo. Dragon is your boy, there. Also, if the enemy doesn't really have good ranged units, then the dragon is better because you're still very fast, can probably kill anything that can fly up to you, and can fight in the ground.
@@CharliMorganMusic The thing is, the Dragon does not provide that much more damage than the eagle, outside of having access to breath attacks, because most of your damage will still be from range(you can shoot in melee while your mount fights). In melee, the Dragon has more AP damage per attack and more health. It also provides poison and magic damage to your melee attacks. But it has a worse MA, so in duels with other lords/heroes/single entities, you will land a hit less often. Also, their ranged attack either reduces armor(the anti-large shot) or poisons(multishot), so very often, the additional AP and poison debuff of the Dragon Mount has less of an impact than expected at first glance. In the end, for MP-gameplay, the dragon provides you with more health and a breath attack(oh, and Terror), for 800 gold(roughly the price of a Waystalker hero). So both options have their pros and cons when compared to each other, but both options are strong.
Actually think morathi is beter then malakith, the melee attack debuff isn't even calculated in her value and often gets more vaule for less cost. but hey opinions differ
I think Malagor deserves a spot on this list. Being able to fly around(without a mount) and cast flock of doom for 2 winds of magic is insanely good. He’s so fast as well so not many flying units can catch him.
Isnt that only in campaign? Because if we go by campaign "potential", it gets a lot more complicated. Gelt can eventually cast several of his spells for 1-2 WoM. Volkmar has 20 seconds cooldowns on his various prayers(including Grand Soulfire Bombardmen), Sisters can summon a dragon(no duration) and Waywatchers(no duration) etc..
This is for MULTIPLAYER. Malagor in SP is fkin busted beyond belief but he aint doing any of that shit in MP as your spell selection is limited by the budget, your opponent always bring a big flyer to go after your tail (like big boi Teclis there or 1/2 Chaos Manticores) and nobody is gonna sit down and let him cast his spell. Malagor is a weakness of the Beastmen in MP in fact. I would rather bring Morghur than him to fight in rank >1000 tbh
I just love Teclis in campaign. Gets insane dmg resistance so cannot really be killed , heals forever and never runs out of magic. One bird killing machine that solos most armies and sieges are insanely easy with him as an attacker.
Ok lets not mention reworked Morghur. Walk him into a blob and suddenly hes gotten 300000 damage and won the battle for you. Vile aura of transmutation made him op.
RIP Grimgor. He IS very strong, he's just too slow. If only he had like 5-10 more speed or you could just turn him into a boar-boy. He's probably the best Lord killer in the game along with the deathmaster, at least in my opinion and can one-on-one just about anyone
@@eclipsingshadows5421 I mean yeah that would be really cool but I don't think we'll ever see those in Total Warhammer 3. That's why I'm saying you could do something easy like just give him a pig to ride. Black orc big bosses who are basically mini Grimgors get them.
@@CallioNyx Yeah the main issue I end up having is what I call the 'Giant' problem. He wins the combat he's in, sure, but he spends the rest of the battle waddling after enemies. That being said though, he's stupid hard to kill and his leadership is very high. He's basically a Dwarf LL in that respect. What in your opinion would make him more viable? To me, all he really needs is a mount or like 10 more speed and he suddenly becomes great.
Would have thought late game imrik would take first, star dragon mount, breath attacks, bound spell, healing and cd refresh on his armour, synergies amazingly with sword of cain, dragon quest buffs, can buff himself in red tree, can get him to very high ward save/resist. Easy to play 1 man doomstack.
I forgot how awesome the vampire counts trailers are. Even if FFFFFF I'm still mad that Mannfred is so good and Vlad the Chad is left behind. Great vid!
I believe that Vlad is just a better option than Manfred since with his blood drinker and the von Carstein ring he can stay in the fight for a really long time and on top of that his fighting stats are respectfully good too which makes up for the fact that he doesn't get any mounts and let's not forget that if you put him and Isabella together in the battle, they are pretty much immortals
While I'm a fan of Manfred, I have to agree with this - Imrik, when he gets going in Campaign, is just insane. Noone else comes even close. But, that's including dragon quest traits, items everything - I'm not sure the criteria Z uses here (And Manfred, in Campaign, gets basically unlimited winds of magic - even if Imrik is individually stronger, Manfred may have a better potential to kill armies.).
If this is for MP, it’s 100% gotta be, from 1 to 4, Fay, Volkmar, Morathi, Mazda with the number 5 spot being a close fight between the rest of the top ten (seriously, so many lords could take that spot)
Thought final lord would be Luthor Harkon. When the sisters are capable of shooting infantry Harkon is so good at taking enemy lords down with the missile damage.
I believe in WH3 there will be a "wounded" system. When a single entity(like a lord, or a giant) is reduced below 50% health, they lose some of their effectiveness.

This is exactly why my friends and I always goon out the vampire lord when fighting them. Because as soon as the lord drops they’ve basically lost.
Personally would have put archeon on the list. Fire is a great lore, he is a monster in melee and he has good items and abilities.
Really hope they overhaul the legendary lords post twwh3. Archaon, Wulfrik and Kholek specifically.
