Nope. Pointless fad nonsense on a too small screen that makes no difference. Get a MacBook instead and stop ruining regular computers with your infantile overindulgence.
100% agree on the lack of 1440p monitors in the laptop market. I tried to find one with no luck last summer, had to get a 1080p one instead 'cause as you said, the industry does not look at gamers for gamers products :|
100% agree with his final thoughts on what gaming laptops need. I have been saying exactly that since Razer released their 4K 15" Razer Blade. Why? It's crap for gaming! Take everything you put in that laptop and slap a 144hz 1440p, HDR G-Sync screen on that and I will throw my money at you! I'm literally waiting for this product to exist to buy a laptop!

alfie 26God Can you give reason to that assumption? My argument is as following: If you are an advertiser, you pay real money in order to get that timeframe of endorsement of your product. Direct sponsorship has advantages, but also disadvantages. For example you don‘t have the guarantee of RUclips anymore, that your expensively paid seconds are really displayed. Sponsorships are based on trust. Now, if you would be an advertiser with money. Tell me. If almost everyone would state that they skip the ads on every video, would you still be as willing to spend that amount of money there? Especially if it gets top comment and all, and is a movement that you can see on most videos? You have to put yourself in the other perspective in order to find out the consequences of your actions.
Got the new version of this laptop! 2080 SUPER, 10th gen i7... its great. I game at 1440p with (in my opinion) no loss from 4k, and use the 4k display for watching movies and other media.

But still are going to always have it connected on a desk somewhere plugged in. It's pretty niche market for sure. One even myself can't justify in getting.
It would be interesting to hear Linus's take on Razer's new Blade 15 Studio. For a company that wants to break into the productivity driven mobile workspace, the Studio looks like it might have the stones (and the Apple look) to compete head-to-head with Macbook Pros.
But still, 1080p is WAY better in general. When watching videos, recording screen captures and doing stuff like that, having everything at 1080p is a whole another experience. When reading text for extended amounts of time, 1080p is easier on the eye. But still, here I am with a 768p notebook, haha :/

Completely agreed. I've owned the Skylake, GTX 1080 Razer Blade Pro 17" (2016, I believe) w/ 4k @ 60hz, and got rid of it within a month of ownership. Hated the glossy 4k screen and the thermals were straight garbage (kudos to Razer to addressing it in this gen.). Ended up switching to the Aorus X7 V6 (also 2016, I believe) w/ Skylake and GTX 1080. Contrary to your video, it had a 1440p display @ 120hz. Thermals were good, I thought I had found the perfect laptop... but the display panel was just whack. I don't know how to explain it, but I didn't like the display - also got rid of that within a month. Now I'm using a Razer Blade 15" RTX from 2019, and I must say, the 1080p @ 144hz display is just fine. Hell, even my 2011 Macbook Pro 17" @ 1900x1200 (matte) looks better than either the Aorus or the Razer Blade Pro. I'm thinking of upgrading to either the Zephyrus GX701 or the Razer Blade Pro RTX (1080p). Any laptop I own must have a matte/anti-glare display - hate the new glossy/touchscreen trend.

Canadian Samurai proprietary hardware implementation connecting the dgpu with the display to prevent screen tearing, it also increases gaming performance in laptops.
Im actually building my first PC and upgrading from...this. The thing is though, It did last me years. I got right as 2018 hit. And honestly, its only been the last like year or two when I really felt the outdated-ness happening to me. 1060 really was a champ. But it just is not enough anymore for my gaming. And while I always used a mouse and extra keyboard with this laptop, it really did last a nice chunk of time and got me excited about computers. Sure it was a mistake to make a laptop my primary and only gaming computer, and a mistake to not spend that 2k on building a system, but I didnt know better. Now I do, and I can partially thank this laptop for my absolute drive to learn more about PC building. So i mean, its okay. 5/10 in reality But 10/10 for trying and memories.

@@ronniekregar3482 I want OLED for any game. That sh*t just looks good. 4k though, not true. Not for a laptop. The screen is too small so you can't tell the difference between 2k and 4k. IronAperture so you think marketing ppl dont know ads will probably be skipped 🙈 well i don’t think they are so delusional
alfie 26God Can you give reason to that assumption?

You have to look at something like this as a Portable Desktop. This is for people that need to be able to easily move their equipment between locations.
