I love the livery you chose to model. I think by and large the German planes were far more colorful than the Allied planes during WWI which seems to me a bit counterintuitive based on at least conventional stereotypes of national character-- I guess Imperial Germany was a lot more daring and free spirited than I remember from the history books! In any case, what a brilliant build. Now I'm either seeing double or I missed something in the narration..you built two Gothas? Whoa!
Thank you so much Mark! Really appreciate you taking the time to comment. I can't remember where I read it but there was a statement I found in my research that delved into the more 'rigid' paint standards. Yes I did build 2 the Englandgeschwader is up next it's almost done. That one belongs to my friend. He made me a deal that if I built him one he would buy one for me, couldn't resist😜👍
@@treyzmodels422 That is a great deal, otherwise known as a win-win! You devoted a year to this project and shared another amazing build with us; of course I can take the time to comment--it's my pleasure, believe me. And to borrow John Kit's favorite phrase, "Keep 'em coming!"
That is an impressive looking bird! You can really tell the time you put into it (clocking in at just a year). I really like the subtle weathering approach. With how big the office is and how much rigging there is you'd think you're making a boat! I think that might be the only way you'd get more rigging in a model. Once again superb job on that build.
@@treyzmodels422 not yet but preparing to do it :) it's a big and expensive kit so don't want to mess with it. need good literature and reference photos plus need to build a cabinet for one since it's really big

Is another on box seems like i should do ye know we see when i get round to it anyways sorry for rambling on out me. But i just want to say im going to stick to jets an one set wings rather than top set and bottom set im not that far along in military builds i did just start building millitary to get bit knowledge on them type builds ye know anyway your plae looks awsome bro well done, 👍Keith
Thanks Keith! Yes I saw your Me262 score! I was dreading this project because of the rigging and 2 wings. I don't usually do ww1 bikes because of that.
Thanks for the input, my Grandson and I put the videos together as best we can with what limited resources we have. We are just starting out and still trying to get it right. My apologies for the sound issue. Please be patient with us we will work harder to fix it. Best regards Trey

The Holy Grail of Wingnut Wings planes. Hmmm, I hope that wasn't sacrilegious. In any case, what a brilliant build!
Thanks Mark hope I did it justice. I agree this is very much the Holy Grail of WNW kits!
Amazing build!! and I love historical narration by the man behind the camera 👍
