    Don't forget that Magnus's highest classical rating is 2882, yes he's 2831 now but that's because he's not really interested by ratings nowadays, if he was to really focus on his classical rating no doubt he will be at least 2860+, but that would be exhausting for him without much of a reward which is why he's not going for it

    • @devansh5562
      @devansh5562 17 часов назад +4

      Lol no. It doesn't work like that. He can't be 2860 if there are no 2800 players to play against. And as Magnus himself said, the FIDE ratings have deflated in recent years so today's 2830 is more like 2850 from a few years back

    • @yassinesafraoui

    12:13 Now, i did notice, and i would pay 3 to 1 if Arjun did not notice the move that would cost him the game, the move that scared him the most.
    As i would pay 8 to 1 if the key moment that Magnus hinged upon was not, that same move, as he obviously had prepated this.
    Failing that, i'd pay 16 to 1 if Magnus was winging it, but knew that he would probably win this game, after the move.

    Bloody hell Indians are the new Soviets 😅.
    They are dominating this board 12:35

      None of the Indian prodogies are that great at faster controls. They are strong at classical controls, when they whopped all in Olympiads and Gukesh challenging for WC match. Got it Einstrin? 😂

    I wonder what is Magnus' opinion of Arjun

    @S08GTM 17 часов назад +4

    Lets be honest - Arjun is a strong player but the tournaments he was involved in the past where he gained lot of elos were against not as strong players like this one. He has a bright future but still lot to prove.

      @@renishisrael9520 yeah, he is not 40 yr old, his journey has just started. Very talented youngster and I believe he will prove himself in the future.
      We need to give time to these youngsters, they need to perform at top level at least for few years before anyone talks about comparisons.
      Alireza, Arjun, Gukesh, Nodirbek, Keymar, Prag, etc., all have great potential to be top players in classical chess and maybe someday world champions.

    Give Carlson a past pawn and you might as well resign there and then.
