2024 Ford F-150 2024 Chevy Chevrolet Silverado 3.5 Ecoboost Twin turbo 6.2 V8 Ecotec

Love your video man nicely done!!! Ford F150 Supercrew shorty bed 2.7L Ecobeast owner here 👆🏽 but long time before I was a diehard Chevy Fan!!! Thinking about jumping shit to a 22 Silverado RST Limited Z71 with the 6.2L
I’m glad you liked it! Both trucks are very cool, but I just love a push rod V8!
One more time the 3.5 Ecoboost kills the 6.2 no excuse the Ecoboost is the queen
Queen.....Ya it's a b*tch alright
You should really do a in depth look review on both of them because it would be great to compare the 2 with the Orion’s that they have against one another
That would be fun sometime. I’ll post the individual driving experience POV reviews soon. I’ve individually done a lot of Silverado full reviews because I have a good connection/access to those trucks compared to the Fords, but I’ll keep your suggestion in mind! Thanks for watching! 🙂
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 your welcome sometimes grandpa and grandma watch this and they really like the Chevy ones (since they have a 18 Traverse LTZ and a Classic 2011 1500 LT ) so I’ll tell them that you liked the idea
My 6.2l does get 24mph highway with AFM delete. I’m happy with it.
That’s awesome! 😎
I always feel awful for whoever ends up with a truck that did tons of 0-60 runs with the 4WD on. Must be brutal on drivetrains.
It splits the torque 2 fold....so overall, the load on the drivetrain is less. The transmission will be the one that will "suffer" the most but they are stout.
Agreed 😂
@@andrewpereira1117 I picture some kid finding a lightly used truck for like $7500 less and thinks how good they did, then 2 weeks later the entire drivetrain explodes.
@@logicalrationalfishing7481 lmfao " it just fell onto the floor at the stop light"
U don't want the rental after I've had it for a week that's for sure lol 🤫
(Whys the Interior smell like burnt ATF?)
That new gm digital dash friggin sucks man. Just bought a 23 ram classic 3.92 geared hemi crew 4x4 20" wheels. She does 0-60 in 5.8, few hundred feet above sea. Those 3.92 gears inpressed the hell outta me after driving identical truck unimpressively with 3.21's. cant wait for the Diablo sport tuner that now includes trans tune as well. Then maybe down the road after intake and exhaust ill use it to upload a custom tune from hemifever. That motor inpresses me so much. Its an overachiever thats for sure. Feels like a muscle car the way it snaps ur neck back and bangs off gears.
So you did the first run with the Silverado with a slight negative slope, and then did the second run with a 10% incline???
Oh good catch, but no. The GPS was having difficulty with its satellite connection. Each off idle acceleration and launch was on the same starting point for each truck. Crazy that the Silverado launch thought that…. If it was truly a 10% incline you can assume the truck would need 1-2 more seconds lol. But great catch! Sorry I didn’t clarify that or repeat that run in the video. The time is correct. And it’s very similar to every other 6.2 I’ve tested in my altitude.
Good Morning! Which truck would you choose? I'd go for the F-150 myself! Me and my family own a 2023 F-150 XLT Sport 4x4 With the 2.7 Liter Ecoboost, And we love EVERYTHING about it! Wouldn't want to buy anything else... PS, You should Redo this test with a F-150 With the Powerboost engine, I bet you it would destroy the Silverado!
Good morning! 🙂
Honestly, I like them both but for different reasons. This lightly modded F-150 was really a sweet truck. And I’ve drive at least one 2.7 f150, and it hauls! They each have pros and cons, I’ve always liked Chevy but it’s hard to argue with the results lol. And a power boost acceleration would be fun!
another one who can't accept the fact the 6.2 is quicker than the 3.5 Ecoboost.
@davidporter7051 but it's not tho and the video proves that
@@jmc6000 it is this video doesn't prove a thing. Research and learn to cope.
Yeah, every 3.5 EB I’ve driven has been faster than the 6.2 0-60 in my own testing, lol 😅 They’re both great trucks but I still like the noise and simplicity of a push rod V8.
Without the lift on the f150 you’re talking over a second quicker between the two. Crazy.
Yeah, the 3.5s are no joke haha.
Why not drag race them that’s what we wanna see
lmao the ford has mud tires on it im sure thats great for acceleration testing
I know right haha 😂 and fox suspension. It’s a pretty sweet truck, and only about .4-.5s slower 0-60 than a stock one would have been in my testing.
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 a powerboost will dust both these engines i know i own one
you do a lot of fanboi projecting
That density altitude is awful. That Silverado is handicapped pretty bad in those conditions.
Yeah for sure! And its wheels/tires under full brake pressure did not hold back the low end torque so its launch was worse due to the time starting with the brake rev. In my area this is unfortunately about as fast as I can get a stock 6.2 to run.
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I think if I lived in any kind of elevation I would have to suck it up and have something with turbos. I had a rental X3 when I was in denver a few months ago and it felt anemic even with the turbos.
Yeah, I’m general it’s seriously impressive how little performance turbos lose up here. You have it good near sea level, whenever I travel to a coast the last thing on my mind is seeing how much faster the car I’m in feels lol. Next time hopefully I’ll remember to enjoy the free horsepower!
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I lived in the Midwest where DA would run between -1500 to +5000 throughout the year. My poor naturally aspirated LS6 goes from rocket to slug day to day sometimes 😂
That’s a crazy spread! This area only spreads about 3-3.5k usually from early morning to mid afternoon. Zo6? I use to have a full bolt on LS1 T/A, and the best time I could get was a 13.9 1/4 lol 😂
So how much was the 6.2 down on power? It’s apples to oranges bring them down to Florida it’s a whole different ball game the 6.2 would win.
I don’t recall the density altitude unless I watch the video, so you may remember having just seen it. But the literature that I’ve seen reports 3-3.5% per 1,000’ of DA for naturally aspirated engines, and half of that (1.5-1.75%) for boosted engines.
