After seeing the E-Day trailer, I was inspired to replay the original trilogy (maybe I’ll play 4 and 5 again as well?) Gears (OF WAR) is back!

Played this game when it first came out in 2006 and in 2022 I’m still playing it. Aged like fine wine. They don’t make games like it anymore.

Crazy how this got recommended to me in 2024 after replaying through the game on insane because I saw game pass had a 14 day free trial 😂 but what a great and quick video man. The E-day trailer got me back.
I forgot how BAD the ai teammates were and playing through on insane was a headache. The fact even the torque bow guys will just run straight at you is wild. And I missed 3 cog tags along the way because of the stress lmaoo.
GL to everyone replaying through gears on insane after seeing the trailer. God speed to all of us. Thank god for the invention of stress balls.

8:24 is my bookmark, to remind myself not to forget. And so far i gotten 24 out 33 COG's. I'm just simply retracing my steps of all i've found and not found lol.

I would like to say a big thank you for your awesome guide I didn't start using it until act 2 as I think it's the hardest act to find the cogs on but I used it all the way through to the end and I have just re watched it to get the 2 cogs I missed on my first play through you are one of the best guides I've seen on RUclips so I would just like to say thank you and keep up the good work

Thanks, very helpful. I was playing through this co-op and we found 32 in our first attempt. Really annoying trying to find that one cog tag.
If you haven't found it yet check your war journal, look at the cogs and you can at least find out which act you missed it in.

Trying to get cog17 is a pain in the bum... Dom keeps running in guns blazing even if theres no lught and when I tell him to cease fire... he replies Negative 😭🙈
Edit:... stuff the light, just quickly roll over and pick up cogs before dying haha Dom has a mind of his own and I cant cope with it 😄

Finally got them
i did this back when the game came out and the achievment bugged for me. and i couldnt unlock it until i deleted my synced save data. so now im going thru this again in 2024 on Insane!

COG tag 21 is actually on Act III - Coalition Cargo, not Evolution.

I followed your guide. I’m missing one tag for some reason. So I replayed the game and still the same result lol. I don’t know which one I’m missing.
Well I don't have the ultimate edition, but at least it's no different from the original except there is one extra level & that's about it. So this will help me pretty well with the original version.
