While this show definitely has its fair share of cringe, it can also genuinely capture Gen z humor and speak really well. The line “unless we’re all getting a daytime Emmy for frozen, mentally I’m not here” felt like a good use of using a Gen z phrase without it sounding like a middle aged person who looked up “gen z slang” and shoved it in to try and be hip and cool
true! It has its moments but it's generally better than other shows when it comes to the slang. I wonder how much of it has to do with the cast themselves. I know they're allowed to improvise a lot on set and maybe that helps make it feel more natural
I don’t get why they ended the show they could have easily done a fifth season and they set it up perfectly. A fifth season would have been a perfect ending.
Apparently the show runner said he didn’t want to risk them not getting picked up for a 5th season + all the delays happening now with the strike 😢but I agree a 5th season would’ve been perfect to end it. We didn’t even get to see them graduate
I like where it ended because it left things feeling a mix of concluded and open. The main ships were finalized and others were given foundations, and another season could mess with that depending on who is in charge/influence from higher ups, and various future pursuits of characters (college, movie deals) are confirmed but left open for us to place into our own happily ever after depending on preferences. I think it’s a good combination of “let’s leave the characters on a bright high note with a strong sense of catharsis, family, love, belonging, and resolution, while still giving the viewers room to imagine the rest for themselves in a positive, fond way”
I absolutely loved this season I really wish we could’ve gotten another season (apparently they would’ve done the greatest showman idk if that’s true) I’m gonna miss them❤️ Also this videos is way too good

I still hate Ricky honestly… he never got accountability for how petty he’d been the previous seasons, at least not enough accountability I guess. I love EJ knocking some sense into him, even though I think he still could’ve gone harder.
