@@dontrefertomethanks Yep. But, it is made confusing by the consistently inconsistent he/him/she/her pronoun use rather than the simpler they/them that most non-binary people use. She is both a "baby girl", and a "baby boy", and not "football". So I think that makes him genderfluid? But I guess context specific pronouns that strangely default to masc ones most of the time are just normal for BMO. Sometimes I wonder if some of the writers were unaware that BMO has ambiguous gender.
It is almost easier to do the alternating she/he pronoun thing like the Happy Medium from Wrinkle in Time although that is also confusing.
Maybe BMO's gender is actually "child". The gender one has before they are aware they have been assigned one? I don't know anything.

And the other answering honestly and in great musical tone. This is a masterpiece. I love the designs. The song. The feeling in the cool graveyard air. The best thing about this animation though is the adorable ending with the ghosts going back to their endless sleep together.
