I'm still discovering new things myself. I've just uploaded another tips video from my viewers, of you get the time, have a look, and add any I may have missed. Thanks for the comment Johanson 🙂
At the beginning you can grow your stamina quickly by sprinting or swimming instead of letting it grow slowly through regular game play. The first two guns you want to buy are the varmint rifle and the Springfield rifle. Both of these are excellent for hunting. Go on the hunting trip with Hosea to get the legendary animal map. Get some, or all, of the legendary animals early as their perks from the fence will give you better percentage on many aspects of the game. Don't sell the bluegill fish. Use them for creating potent predator bait and then sell the bait for bigger profits or use the bait for hunting. When hunting the panther, set the predator bait near the rock at the T in the road and wait down the road a bit until it comes out. If you choose to go into the woods to hunt the panther make sure you are on your horse with gun or bow in hand. If you happen to miss him on your first shot he will knock you off your horse and you have one last chance to kill it before it kills you. Without being on the horse or not having your gun in hand will be certain death to you. Pretty much the same for hunting cougars but you can usually spot them much sooner and easier than the panther giving you the advantage. I've played through this games many times and I learn something new each time. This game is huge and has so many little things. It's awesome!!!
I was asking for viewers would comment, in hopes I would be able to get enough info to do another video - while giving them a shout out of course. And this alone has really helped me along the way! Thank you so much!!!
@@FilbeeGaming I'm addicted to this game. I've been playing it since it came out. I'm sure I can think of many more tips but this is what I thought of first. Your videos randomly popped into my feed so I watched two of them so far. So many things I didn't know or totally forgot about. Chapter two is my favorite chapter. I complete about 50% of the game in this chapter. I do most everything possible to do in this chapter before moving on. Another tip is to collect and hold many of the exotic flowers and bird plumes before chapter four. You don't need to do this but it helps you not to have to go searching the whole map for them if you choose to do the side mission of the exotic flower guy. You get a fancy looking gun at the end of that side mission if you complete it. Speaking of guns, when you do the gunslinger side mission in chapter two be sure to grab each gunslinger's gun after you kill them. This is the only opportunity for collecting all the guns if you want to fill those compendium spots.
@@mrmainevent1872 I never got around to finishing the exotic flower mission, too impatient I guess. I knew about the gunslinger one, but I never thought to use it as a tip, so thank you again!
@@FilbeeGaming the first time playing through I didn't finish that side mission either. I thought it took far to long to go find all those flowers, birds and alligator eggs. My second or third time playing I decided to collect those items through regular game play while I was in those areas. It made finishing that mission so much faster when it finally came time to do it.
Pro tips: have good honor in order to get discounts in stores,if your horse dies, immediately close the game and restart it and the horse should be alive, use opened health, dead-eye, and stamina tonics because you will never know when you will need full tonics, instead of reloading, toggle dead-eye quickly and untoggle it to instantly reload mostly each town has a store with a side business that can be robbable when discovered.
Take out gang camps O'Driscolls and Lemoyne Raiders...you won't take hits to your honor. The Perlino Andulusian spawns at Brandywine drop and is easy to catch. The Brindle Thoroughbred can be taken from a horse race you're challenged to in Lemoyne or in an ambush at twin stacks from an outlaw (be sure to shoot the rider on the Brindle last). Do not get the Turkoman from Hamish Sinclair as Arthur as once Arthur dies the horse is no longer available. Catch and level up the best wild horses you can and sell them once they get to level 4 over time the money can add up to a huge amount. Also if you shoot an animal say a gator take the hide to an area where gators don't spawn like Valentine or Strawberry you'll get paid about 10% more, another example is pronghorn or buffalo hides taken to St Denis. Get the Springfield Rifle ASAP. Keep and cook big game meat but donate the rest to camp or sell it. Pick herbs and sell them They respawn every 3 days. You can make money and increase your health and stamina big time by fishing once you unlock the fishing pole. Go to the trapper in St Denis to get the offhand holster early on (you need to do the 1st master hunter challenge and you can get the best saddles in story mode from him once you give him the correct pelts. Lastly upgrade Arthur's satchel and the camp ASAP
Hunting Tips: Kill lots of birds. You need feathers to make improved arrows which can get you better quality pelts you will need for crafting. Never donate anything to the camp cook except bad quality pelts or what you need for crafting. Cook all the meat over a camp fire or the scout fire in camp to improve your level of cooking. You will be able to make some extremely useful recipes you can stow for later usage. While hunting, always grab the Herbs you happen to see when tracking. Everything has it's use. Use a bow whenever possible, equipped with Improved arrows and always aim for the head. Just like hunting in real life a body shot will likely be ignored by your prey and they will run away bleeding. Head/neck shots will also net you better pelts. Never use Poison arrows on animals, save them for humans. It will poison the meat.
@@FilbeeGaming There seems to be. I collect herbs wherever I go but perhaps I just didn't have the right herbs and raw meats until later and confused it with a cooking level. In any event, the food you cook yourself is by far an improvement on store bought Items, so don't waste money buying stuff from the store when you can cook food that will instantly fill all your cores (as one example).
Thanks a lot for this. Awesome stuff. In case no one has mentioned it your audio sometimes gets basically wiped out by the games audio. If you were to up yours by about 15% or more would definitely help.
I realised my mistake when it was late about the audio. I know exactly what part you meant. Thank you though, hopefully you stick around for me content 🙂
The best 3 tips for anyone: 1. Use the 15 saves slots to save manually and frequently, and turn off autosave. 2. Use Cinematic Camera all the time. You get your horse to a trail; set a waypoint; then activate the CC; get your horse galloping, and after that you don't need to even touch the controller (especially if you have a L4 horse and the panther saddle). Great at night to watch whilst you have the lantern equipped. CC autopilot is often much faster and safer than manual riding - especially on twisty and treacherous mountain trails. The horse rarely crashes. 3. Horses automatically steer around obstacles/trees, etc, so do not try to steer around them yourself or you could counteract the AI and steer back into the obstacle and hit it.
Note: Turning off Autosave can be a bad idea if you have a crap memory. I played for hours one day accomplished a lot and didn't save and found all my time was wasted and I had to do a lot over again. If you have this same issue DO NOT turn off Autosave.
Pro tip: Disregard the compendium. Well, it's a good guide to tell you where to start from and either go up or down in power. It's almost never 100% correct.
Unless I'm mistaken, isn't the compendium just filling the spots in the animals, collecting cards, weapons, finding gang hideouts, etc etc?? What do you mean by power going up and down? Some gamers may ignore filling the compendium and run only the storyline but I love filling every spot I can on the compendium. I study, track, kill and clean or collect every animal, collect every gun and set of cards along with nearly every side mission possible.
Some crafting, especially on weaponry, can be done when saddled on a horse. My Dad was from Merrihill in Glasgow. I'm in Calgary Canada. On my second playthrough. Also, a lot of loot regenerates over time, like the gold bar in Limpany.
@@KRAST666 just hunt and cook the meat, minty, thyme and oregano big game meat is the best, I have noticed that stuff like apples, corn etc stuff that you can feed your horse will often respawn at gang camp sites you have already taken out whereas stuff you can use as Arthur like tonics and ammo won't once you looted those items from that camp site the first time.
