It's how Yugi stopped Slifer in the ceremonial duel. The golden sarcophagus in the anime/manga, will negate the activation of the same card that is put in the Sarcophagus. Since Yugi put monster reborn in the box, when Atem played monster reborn to bring back slifer, the summon from the GY got negated. Since the events of Yu-Gi-Oh!R take place before the final arc of DM, one can say that Yugi used the knowledge from the duel between Gekou and Atem, to stop a god from being summoned from the GY, by negating the summon. Otherwise Yugi would've had a lot of trouble if Atem brought Ra from the GY during the ceremonial duel. Plus, since Marik abused summoning Ra from the GY, and in the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh!R you can see in the monitors that Yakou has been observing that duel, it is fair to say that Yakou made sure to take precautions against the abuse of summoning a god card from the GY. Yakou simply played it smart.

Thought instead of the new stuff they have now, they could of made Yugioh R for a streaming service or a continuation of Yugi and his friends but with updated decks. This reminds me of the virtual world arc where all of the characters were in danger of losing their bodies to the big 5, Noah and Gozaburo Kaiba. But in this case, it's now only Anzu/Tea, and her body would basically transform into Pegasus, once the Rebirth of Avatar ritual is complete. While her consciousness will be lost or exist in the virtual reality of the KC server.
We appreciate your praises. We are aware however that the voice acting is actually not that great. We have hit and misses with the voice acting. While the voice of Atem and Yugi is far from perfect, we have other characters that sound very good. Kaiba is one of those characters. We are all looking forward to getting to the episode in which he finally gets to duel and have a more active role in the story. The voice of Yakou and Gekou Tenma is also a good choice.

We have been wishing for this for more than 15 years. But since Konami won't bother, we did it ourselves. Also shame on you. Pyramid of Light was a good movie. XD
almost a year ago, when tcg gave us tokusano shinkyojin, I used the cards in god cards, and I wanted to use it in sacred beasts, but sacred beasts has less level 10s with their support. So when phantasmal summoning beast debuted, and players learned it can free summon the wicked dreadroot, I explored the concept, and now tokusano is consistent because my sacred beast deck now hybrids the wicked monsters, and some devastating combos have come out from this style. Now seeing this season while searching for ideas has certainly been a special bonus.
It didn't even cross my mind that phantasmal summoning beast could summon a wicked god, since they say that they cannot be special summoned. But I guess since phantasmal summoning beast says it can summon a level 10 fiend, ignoring summoning condition, they it stands to reason that it can bypass that limitation. It sure is convenient for Dreadroot and Eraser, however if you summon The Wicked Avatar like that, you won't be able to utilize his ability to lock your opponent from using his spells and traps for 2 turns, since that effect activates when the avatar is normal summoned. Anyway, thank you for the comment, I can now try to play wicked gods in Sacred Beasts as well.
@@JoyRideStudio this is where rulings get complex. phatasm works on dreadroot for having equal 4k atk and def. however ? atk and ? def stands as different integers when looking for those details. this has been established among a long list of rulings when the spell card small world was printed, making the bridge complex. So dreadroot is the only acceptable choice for phantasmal. Tokusano is definitely one level 10's best draw spells right now, but the biggest thing I've done, in god cards and sacred beasts, is run a 60 card numeron engine, with cards like memories of hope, saryuja, pot of avarice, pot of desires, and tokusano, along with meta spells like droplet, lightning storm, and talents. This was a long project for me, only reasonably possible to reach at a competitive level with rarity collection. in the future, the cards "spell card: monster reborn" and "spell card: soul exchange" are going to be a great power creep. monster reborn reviving monsters like dark beckoning beast for an extra normal to set up 3 tributes, and soul exchange being a generic soul crossing for the wicked. plus the wicked cannot be tributes so your opponent can't sac them with that card. my current decision is replace talents for monster reborn and pot of desires for soul exchange.

And I can make a poll where fans vote which characters they want to see dueling, and I will come up with and awesome duel that utilizes the cards that both characters have. Even cards that the characters didn't use in the anime, but are related to the archetype they are using in their deck. I also wish to make videos where I review some of the unreleased anime cards and even discuss whether some of the cards that where released with official effects, weren't nerfed too much. I have a lot of plans for the future of this channel. As for when the next episode would be released, I can't say exactly. But you can expect it by the end of this year. And once I release the 6th episode, the next 4 episodes will be released faster too. Basically an episode each month. But considering I still have a lot of manga chapters to cut and edit, once I make those 5 episodes, I will have to take a year time-out to cut and edit the images for the next manga chapters, so I can release more episodes. Actually the interlude during an episode serves to indicate when a chapter ends and another begins. If you paid attention, in the first 4 episodes, the interlude appears only once in each episode because 2 chapters have been used for each episode. But episode 5 has 2 interludes to indicate that 3 chapters have been used for the episode, which is evident since the episode itself is 30 minutes long. I can put in the description of the videos which chapters from which volumes have been used for the episode if you and other people are that interested to know. As for when episode 6 is coming out, not any time soon. I am currently preparing the picture material for episode 6, 7 and 8. I have 1 person helping me out with cutting the images, but we are all busy people who have personal life's and jobs, so we can't work on cutting and editing images all the time. The more people who decide to help out with cutting images for the episodes, the faster I can prepare material to release more episodes. But as it turns out, most people would rather watch the finished product, than to contribute for the faster release of it. Soo yeah, as it stands, episodes will continue to come out at a slow pace. There is also 1 special chapter in it, that is not related to the events that are happening between Yugi Mutou and Yakou Tenma. As for how many episodes, I suspect it would be 20 episodes. Although the duel between Bandith Keith vs Joey is 5 manga chapters, while the duel between Yugi and Yakou Tenma is like 7 manga chapters, and I have been considering making these 2 duels into movies. So if I do that, there would be less episodes and 2 movies. So like 14 episodes and 2 movies. I will see how things will happen when I get closer to these 2 duels. I hope that answers your questions.
Working on it. Understand that it's taking a considerable ammount of time to properly cut and edit the images of an entire manga chapter. I am mostly doing this alone. I also have a personal life and a job, so I don't work on it 24/7. I have cut the images of the next 7 manga chapters, which is enough material for 3 episodes. But I have to edit the images as well, since once you dissect the images from the manga panels, there are missing parts that need to be fill in on the individual elements in pictures. Like when I cut out the speech bubble, underneath it, there may be missing body parts of characters or monsters, which I have to edit and fill in. Anyway, ai am currently editing the pictures for the next episode. As soon as I am done, I will begin making the video for the 6th episode. Yeah so far so good, and good use of the music choices and sound effects. While the VA is a bit...uh off in my ears, its more I'm so used to the 4kids VA's its practically engrained. A Volume consist of couple of chapters. I usually use 2 chapters to create each episode, but I used 3 for this episode, because I wanted to show the entire duel in a single episode. Volume 1 has 9 chapters and thus the duel actually resolves in the first 2 chapters of Volume 2. Considering I am currently working on preparing the image material for the next few episodes, and episode 5 ended on a pretty strong note, I guess I can say that Episode 5 is the final episode of season 1 of my fan-made manga animation on this series. In any event, there won't be any new episodes until next year, since I don't have many helping hands to help out with cutting the images. Plus I am busy with my personal life, cuz I have a job so I barely have time as it is, to work on this project. I don't really get paid to do these fan animations, so I am doing this only because it's a fan project I wanted to do ever since I was a kid. It may take me years, but I do plan to turn the entire Yu-Gi-Oh!R series into episodes. My one regret is that, as this channel becomes more popular, people are excited to see each new episode as soon as possible, but I can't really deliver on that part. Still, I hope that people enjoy the content I provide, regardless of the time intervals at which I upload an episode.

So I am really having seconds thoughts about doing that. Plus it won't increase the speed of episode production. Unless it comes to a point where the money I would be receiving for making episodes, would be the same or more as the paycheck from my job. I could then consider quiting, so I can become a full youtube content creator. But my channel is not soo popular right now, so I don't see myself doing that any time soon. @theamazinggamerdjmc5906 the original manga has too many chapters for me to make into a manga animation. I do plan however to animate some of these chapters. Mostly the ones which events where censored or never shown in the anime. Cuz the anime outright skips some of the stuff in the manga, or change them, due to how graphic or dark it is. But that will happen once I am done animating all of the chapters of Yu-Gi-Oh!R. Which will probably happen after a few years. Soo don't hold your breath.
That's fine. This is a FAN-MADE project after all. If it doesn't sound good, that's because we didn't have the budget or the right people to make it better. Your criticism is understandable and accepted.
None taken. We know that not all characters sound good, but we worked with what we got. This IS a fan-made project after all. So comments about the voice over not sounding good are not really surprising. We are actually more surprised by the amount of people that like this project, despite the lack of good animation and voice overs.

The reason why you might have this perception is that Dan Green's Yami Yugi voice is an extremely high standard to compete with. Hardly anyone can meet it. The animators did well in deciding what voices in their limited arsenal to give to which person.

But as it turns out, most people would rather watch the finished product, than to contribute for the faster release of it. Soo yeah, as it stands, episodes will continue to come out at a slow pace. But I am definitely working on making more episodes. I haven't given up on it.

I am going in blind watching your series. so I dont know how any chapters or volumes there are. Roughly how many episodes will the series end up being by the time it finishes?
@@HyperTomoose The Yu-Gi-Oh!R manga consist of 5 volumes.
There are 44 manga chapters of this spin-off. There is also 1 special chapter in it, that is not related to the events that are happening between Yugi Mutou and Yakou Tenma.
As for how many episodes, I suspect it would be 20 episodes. Although the duel between Bandith Keith vs Joey is 5 manga chapters, while the duel between Yugi and Yakou Tenma is like 7 manga chapters, and I have been considering making these 2 duels into movies. So if I do that, there would be less episodes and 2 movies.
So like 14 episodes and 2 movies.
I will see how things will happen when I get closer to these 2 duels. I hope that answers your questions.

Working on it. Understand that it's taking a considerable ammount of time to properly cut and edit the images of an entire manga chapter. I am mostly doing this alone. I also have a personal life and a job, so I don't work on it 24/7.
I have cut the images of the next 7 manga chapters, which is enough material for 3 episodes. But I have to edit the images as well, since once you dissect the images from the manga panels, there are missing parts that need to be fill in on the individual elements in pictures. Like when I cut out the speech bubble, underneath it, there may be missing body parts of characters or monsters, which I have to edit and fill in.
Anyway, ai am currently editing the pictures for the next episode. As soon as I am done, I will begin making the video for the 6th episode. I appreciate that people are eager to see more episodes, so I ask that you are patient. Thank you.

People have been asking LittleKuriboh: "when is the next episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series?" form the very begging, don't let it get to you. Anyways I've started watching Gundam around the time that this came out and now I finally finished watching all Animes, Movies, OVAs, ONAs and specials, for the most part, 2 days ago. Seeing you still working on this project made my life even better, thanks.

Yeah so far so good, and good use of the music choices and sound effects. While the VA is a bit...uh off in my ears, its more I'm so used to the 4kids VA's its practically engrained. Other than that, it sounded good.

When is episode 6
Is each episode a volume then? Like how there are 5 volumes of this manga. Is this the final chapter to this then?
A Volume consist of couple of chapters. I usually use 2 chapters to create each episode, but I used 3 for this episode, because I wanted to show the entire duel in a single episode. Volume 1 has 9 chapters and thus the duel actually resolves in the first 2 chapters of Volume 2.
Considering I am currently working on preparing the image material for the next few episodes, and episode 5 ended on a pretty strong note, I guess I can say that Episode 5 is the final episode of season 1 of my fan-made manga animation on this series.
In any event, there won't be any new episodes until next year, since I don't have many helping hands to help out with cutting the images. Plus I am busy with my personal life, cuz I have a job so I barely have time as it is, to work on this project. I don't really get paid to do these fan animations, so I am doing this only because it's a fan project I wanted to do ever since I was a kid. It may take me years, but I do plan to turn the entire Yu-Gi-Oh!R series into episodes.
My one regret is that, as this channel becomes more popular, people are excited to see each new episode as soon as possible, but I can't really deliver on that part.
Still, I hope that people enjoy the content I provide, regardless of the time intervals at which I upload an episode.

Really cool stuff you’re doing here and I think we all appreciate it. Especially with the channel growing like you said have you thought about possibly setting up a Patreon or something of the sorts? @@GoldenRK9 I mean, even if I set a patreon, I may have trouble because I would be earning money for sharing copyrighted content. Not to mention that the people who helped me make the voice-recordings for the characters, where not paid for this, so it kinda feels that I would be profiting on their behalf as well. So I am really having seconds thoughts about doing that.
Plus it won't increase the speed of episode production.
Unless it comes to a point where the money I would be receiving for making episodes, would be the same or more as the paycheck from my job. I could then consider quiting, so I can become a full youtube content creator. But my channel is not soo popular right now, so I don't see myself doing that any time soon. Still, that won't stop me from uploading content.

@theamazinggamerdjmc5906 the original manga has too many chapters for me to make into a manga animation. I do plan however to animate some of these chapters. Mostly the ones which events where censored or never shown in the anime. Cuz the anime outright skips some of the stuff in the manga, or change them, due to how graphic or dark it is. But that will happen once I am done animating all of the chapters of Yu-Gi-Oh!R. Which will probably happen after a few years. Soo don't hold your breath.

That's fine. This is a FAN-MADE project after all. If it doesn't sound good, that's because we didn't have the budget or the right people to make it better. Your criticism is understandable and accepted.

None taken. We know that not all characters sound good, but we worked with what we got. This IS a fan-made project after all. So comments about the voice over not sounding good are not really surprising. We are actually more surprised by the amount of people that like this project, despite the lack of good animation and voice overs.
I actually like gekko and yakko voices, also yugi from manga is different than anime, So the voices needs to be different!

But we have other characters who's voices where well casted for their roles.
And no matter what anyone tells me, the choice for Tenma's voice will always be the right one for me.
The reason why you might have this perception is that Dan Green's Yami Yugi voice is an extremely high standard to compete with. Hardly anyone can meet it. The animators did well in deciding what voices in their limited arsenal to give to which person.
