Gracias por regalar algo de lo que dios te dio. Para mi que me he puesto a aprender después de viejo y no tengo por ahora como pagar un maestro tus tutoriales son un regalo preciado. Bendiciones.
Awesome work Eric, this is one of the most "easier" 6/8 instruction I've seen on RUclips, easy to follow and you break it down perfectly. Keep up the great work Bro!
Thank you brother for taking the time to help, any thing you teach is great again thanks for your time much love brother and GOD Bless you and your familia.
Hey Maestro!! U will be surprised to know that I have already been doing this Exercise since long!! Even I am surprised to realise that!! This is may be due to most of the Indian Music is based on 6/8 feel!! So this Exercise automatically came from within!! Thank U for showing it to the Community!! Thank U E. "Proffessor" Perez!!
Man I have to thank you for your efforts in sharing the passion. I’ve been enjoying your videos for a couple of months now and since then I’ve made tremendous improvements on congas! Keep on! 🙌
Interesting - Edgardo Cambon uploaded a video on Rumba Columbia (6/8) this very day. Coincidence? I think not. More like synchronicity (great conga players think alike). ;) Thanks Eric - as usual very helpful!
Que bien! seis por ocho es siempre mi punto débil, no lo practico mucho y lo único que le hago es el tumbao ese recortado, necesito poder hacer más, y este video me quedó de perlas! encendío! 🔥
Great! Abakaua, Njongo, Bembé, Rumba Columbia, Arará, Congo Cyclo and so on. It would be great, if you can present these styles and some Batá rhythms. See above. Greetings from Berlin.
How about tutorials of Shuffle Grooves next time? When I watched the late Jeff Porcaro's instructional drumming video, he explains many things about shuffles, including half-time, double-time, double half-time, etc etc, and I think tutorial about shuffles are also essential to learn how do we play them on congas and bongos.
Just a suggestion, accompanying music in conjunction with your tutorial- (just a small section), would be so helpful. Just an idea which would be helpful to strugglers.

The 6/8 is like the child of the triplet. And the 4/4 is the child of the 6/8.
Beautiful analogy!!
I think it’s a sin to put synthetic heads on those Kachiro Thompson’s 😂
Just say no to synthetics lol
