My daughter and I play connect four a lot.. it’s amazing how similar strategy is to chess.. control the center, “fork” by stacking two potential connect 4s in a row, looking moves ahead, look at what opponent wants to do, etc.
You’re the best out there. Fantastic chess player but an even better human being. Thanks for sharing yourself for all of us to enjoy. You deserve every good thing that has happened for you and much more
1:19:35 I think the best move here is queen to b6..if white takes you ll have 2 connected pawns, but thats exactly why I don't think he takes..Excellent games and more time for explanations for us thanks!
Jobava plays in a unique way. His mind employs moving pieces to the side or out of the way through distraction in his plans most of the time. I am saying that he sees plans where others fail to see the plan because a piece or two is in the way of the plan. Jobava simply incorporates the distractions and shoving aside of those nasty pieces to a degree that I have not seen others do.
1:06:05 here I am surprized you didn't see white takes pawn on c2- probably because you got up too early which accelerated the tilting ;) 1:07:20 here you didn;t see your bishop being threatened on f4, thats why opponent allowed the trade Amazing games thank you, even tilted with not enough sleep you demolished a 2022 player and took out a 2041 player in the last game- which was the only close game in this session
ive watched all your speed run videos but i believe people really would like to see the review page after evry game that way we can see percents best moves etc like daniel nordorski
So it's true people get Jury Duty in the USA? I thought, seeing how often it happens in sitcoms , that it's exaggeration. I've never heard such thing here in UK. I find it so intriguing, and I wonder why people seem to try to avoid it, in sitcoms and now Eric in real life.
Hi Eric, I love your content and usually watch most of it! Lately, though, there's some kind of jitter occuring when you mouse around certain parts of the screen, and it's been keeping me from watching. I'm not sure if it's a streaming/OBS setup issue, or something. It slightly scales the board/screen up and down a few times in a fraction of a second. Not a big deal, but I figured I'd let you know anyway. Love the channel!
@dotmonkey3570 they give you enough for the gas basically. I got like $250 for the week which is less than I'd make in a day at work (employer pays nothing to you) so that definitely hurt
Game 3 clock down to 6 seconds at the end of the game...close. Close to ending up with more time than you started with. The 20 minute game thing is not a real thing it seems.

This seems super in the past..your talking about candidates which is long over?
I would like to see more random opening videos from Eric 😊
No way! Classical chess and Rosen?!?!? I don’t think this day can get any better!

Jury duty sucks. No sugar coating it. Boring, no pay. Good feeling for civic duty isn't much of a consolation prize. 😂
Wait, they don't pay you for it in the US? They pay us here in Australia, on top of the mandatory paid leave from your employer.

When do you think you’ll start your OnlyPawns
First....love the classical time
