- The story of the capelin fish that lay their eggs underwater or on the beaches of Newfoundland, Canada, before dying.
Humpback whales feed on these fish massively before starting a long journey to the Dominican Republic.
Didier Noirot has observed their spawning for several years.
Didier used a Red Epic camera 6 K to capture this extraordinary event.
Great work Didier!!! Love the high quality content 🎥
BlacktipH i love all your videos
You're the antithesis of this channel.
It’s absolutely amazing how the capelin are such an important species to this ecosystem! Always amazes me to see them roll on the beach. I’m from Newfoundland

I'm from Texas 🙂 And you're very welcome. I'm pleased to see such passion in people for the Earth and it's other life that is not human. Many people take too much for granted or give no other thought at all some times. Anyways, keep doing what you do. It's amazing. Very beautiful and breathtaking videos. Stay safe out there. 😊
Beautiful work. I can’t wait for more videos.
It was beautiful and lovely thank you
Very exciting channel. Good luck.

Amazing video, what region of Newfoundland is this?
This is amazing content
Simply amazing!
Didier Noirot if you could go back millions of years ago when some of the first early whales were on land and some early giant whales such as basilosaurus? And would you film them and I also bet it would be weird to see early whales walking on land because thats how they started around 50 million years ago. Also this vid was awesome!
You can be sure that Didier would have film the mégalodon! ;-) He's the man without fear you'll see with crocodiles!
Fascinating footage . Thanks
Awesome video keep it up
Loving these videos!!!

You made a nice video
Amazing
Amazing!
Fantastic filming and informative documentary .Well done
Great works. Since most people don’t understand that the little guys have their place in nature and the ecosystem.
Every one has his own place in Nature. Don't even think that the insects are not important. In the sea it is the same, we are part of a whole. Didier
This is awesome, They always pass us in Bermuda in March-May when heading up to Canada. Had mating time freediving with them over the years when passing.
Fantastic content thank for sharing!
Keep them coming I love your content !! 😍😍
I will not desappoint you!

Very cool
awesome bro!!!
You're part of this success, bro!
What I wondered was, why are there no birds at the beach where the fish spawn? Is it the same as with the wales? Do the birds wait until they have spawned or are thy just not in the area?
When the capelin come ashore the first days, the birds come in big numbers. The event lasts for a week on this particular beach, so the birds are more or less well fed after a few days. The birds are not like the whales. Much less smart. And be carefull with the whales: This is what I have seen but this might not be a rule. The thing is that there are no other people to observe all this underwater in this place. I come for three to four weeks for 5 years at my own expenses...
@@DidierNoirot Thank you for the answer. I knew that not all whales act like these ones but the fact that some do is already very impressing to me. But even if it seems cruel and disgusting to us when birds eat so many of those fish it's still the rule of the nature and there is a reason for it that there are so many of the fish.
I'm looking forward to watch more of your content because the pictures and the storys are just incredible :)
Wow
Woah😱
Keep it up good god blessed u more lives coming to u🙏
Yay first
Wow, exciting life!
No fair
I think we might be related its liking looking in the mirror. I remember you from the Cousteau Specials which I looked forward to watching and wanted to be a diver photographer and am now living in St.John's Newfoundland.
Hello Greg, I come every year to Newfoundland. We should meet.
Nice video, keep it up.
Just compare Paul with aquarium co-op - la bretz - king of diy - dustins fish tanks - creative pet keeping - simply betta - aquarpros - flip aquatics. And probably everyone else who is making video's about fish. And u might get the slightest idea what i mean. The kid is just a bad example for fish keepers. And the worst thing is, lots of kids watch this kid and think its ok how he is doing it. Not talking about the pond, but the aquariums. He is terrible. I wish him all the views in the world, but he teaches people to do the wrong thing.
I think that Paul loves the fish, believe me.He is taking care of them. Didier
I hope so. Don't get me wrong. People like paul keep the hobby alive. Young kids watch him and want to do the same. That is a good thing. But they will be very disappointed when their fish die because they did not have the right information. I have seen the guy make several mistakes. That is ok, every fish keeper has killed fish. He is a young guy and got years of learning to do. After 20 years im still learning new things. But it annoys me that he is taking a long time to learn from his mistakes. Ill let it rest now. Peace
there's 5 more times footage of the speaker than the actual fish that could count for barely one minute straight. Shame.
Paul caffaro brought me here
et pourquoi vous parler pas le français
Si je fais en Français, l'audience se limitera aux quelques pays francophones. En Anglais c'est worldwide! Didier
