That's the thing I love most about this whole series. There's really no "villains" or "bad guys" in it. They could have made _any_ team the main focus, like with the OVAs and episodes that focused on Nekoma showed, and we'd all be cheering for everyone just the same.
This was Oikawa and Iwaizumi last game together. Their gonna be going to different college after this. When it matter most, win or lose Oikawa will ride with his boy Iwaizumi to the end.
........ I didn't even know that.... And now I dont like Oikawa... Hisoka legitimately scared me during the hunter exams... Like I had nightmares about him kinda stuff... "Y would you be scared of him? He's sexy as hell!" Go back and watch when Gon was just a few minutes away from getting hisoka' s badge and get back to me on that....
The fact that oikawa was able to read the final attack of hinata shows you how truly amazing he is. And the fact that he didn't joined shiratorizawa and trusted his team till the end. I m so mad he didn't able to go to nationals he is without a doubt a national level player.
This episodes make me cry so much, the feelings hit me so hard during the last scene about Oikawa's past and passing the toss to Iwazumi's, his monologue about talent and effort and his blind trust to Iwazumi's as his best spiker make me doubt my loyalty to Karasuno hahahahahahahaha... And the OST was just supreme!... I was like a dork clapping in tears for Aoba Johsai... For sure one of the most iconic scenes in all the series so far, and I really bittersweet one because in the end both can't win... KARASUNO FIGHT!!!!!!!!
I have to say that I started to cry when they arrive to the highschool and all the people where cheering them up. I remembered how Hinata was playing alone his middle school time, without anybody helping him... And now, people start to admire him even... Men this show is a rollercoaster
Love the scene with Ushijima at the door. Not everybody notices but it is part of the idea that they have been setting up for some time now. Hinata and Kageyama aren't alone, they come as a team, whereas Ushijima is all by himself. It seems like an extra scene to tease S3, but it is way more than that, it is to hammer even harder the whole comparison between the ideologies that is up to come.
I don't care I think Iwaizumi was MVP in Seijho in this match :D He saved ball so many times in crazy ways like a pro libero without even being libero and also scored a lot of points ;D
No joke: I think the final rally in the game between Seijoh and Karasuno is one of the best anime action scenes ever. Not best scenes in Haikyuu. Not best scenes in a sports anime. BEST ANIME ACTION SCENE EVER. The timing, the narration, the framing, the context, the fact that everyone on both teams plays their best, the ending. It's perfect.

This friggin Match was way more intense than Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa IMO I remember watching the moments at the edge of my seat. The last play of the final set (second season Karasuno vs Aoba Josai) To this day, I consider that particular moment as the most exciting, thrilling, nerve-wracking Pinnacle of moments in all of Sports Anime ever.
Both were amazing i don't comapre them the theme for both matches were different . For karasuno vs seijoh both teams were giving their 110% as it was their last chance and the years of hardwork that goes into it they were true rivals. For shiratorizawa it was a battle of concept this one huge unconquered mountain they had to climb. I honestly didn't expected them to win that which makes it so much amazing.
No way the Tsukki moment itself was enough to cement karasuno vs shiratorizawa as the most intense game thus far. In seijoh vs karasuno it was THIS moment, Oikawa's toss that was just mind numbingly hype but s3 as a whole, was insanely intense and it wasn't just one particular episode.
When the characters development in this anime is god-tiered that I am falling in love with both sides of the court. I always get the feeling of both happiness and sadness at the end of the game.

“talent is something you make bloom, instinct is something you polish” is oikawa actually realising talent isn’t something you’re born with and is amazing character development. furadate (the mangaka) has said it himself, that this game was oikawa basically letting go of the mindset that he can’t beat “geniuses”, and letting go of the concept of “genius” altogether. some people are born lucky, yes, but they don’t get anywhere without polishing their instincts. those people’s talent might bloom earlier and faster, yes, but that doesn’t mean yours won’t. that doesn’t mean you should stop working hard and polishing your instincts. after all, if those talented people worked hard to get where they’re at now, why shouldn’t you? i love him so much oh my god and i’m so happy he now realises the whole concept of “geniuses” he’d created in his mind is stupid.
I'm so stoked for you to start season 3. And hopefully we get season 4 next year. There's enough material from the source manga for a season 4, and I've heard the studio is just waiting for the director of the anime be done with his current project.

8.15 just how I was feeling and then the "Tanaka my boy" reaction. At so many time during this game i didn't know who to cheer for. I have so much respect for Aoba Johsei , especially Oikawa who worked his ass of to be where he is today. That last ball i felt joy but at the same time felt heartbroken. Now you can accept that and give up, or you can work your ass off and complain once you've already given it 110%, anything less and you've already lost"

I won't lie i wanted seijoh and oikawa to go to finals
I wanted Seijoh to make that point so much. But it proves that Iwazumi, as good as he is, isn't good enough to make Oikawa shine as much as he should.
Idk if this is just me, but when Oikawa slaps Iwaizumi on the back after they lose hit so different. It just shows how they have each others back.
Also the glare of oikawa to iwaizumi before they thank the fans really shows how much oikawa cares of iwaizumi.
