    Ex-volleyball player here, commenting on something Suraj said: The best receive it's the one that gets the ball up like it was nothing, and not the one where people flip mortals to get a far away spike. That's why it's so easy for people to miss the value of great receivers like Nishinoya or Daichi. The easy way to evaluate their value on the court is this: How many times did Kageyama dump, set up a quick attack, or a synchronized attack? Cause none of those are possible without solid receiving. Remove Daichi or Nishonoya, and all those things fall apart.

      Right, my dad was an international referee and coach for years. You might see one or two diving "spectacular" digs in a game, and usually the team is all over the place after them. It's the dozens of "normal" receives that are perfect A passes to the setter that are the "best," they just don't get the notice or credit. This is actually the main reason Nekoma is portrayed as being so good.

    • @AllTheArtsy
      @AllTheArtsy 2 года назад +2

      Every play connects. Since it is baked into the rules that no one player can touch the ball twice in a row, team work is absolutely essential.

    • @dext1352
      @dext1352 Год назад

      Yes it's true that a solid defense is going to give the setter more possibilities on the attack but it is also specified that Kageyama is a genius that can set the ball anywhere even when the receive is shaky, so it depends if you have a strong defense and a strong setter then you automatically win half of your games

    Normies! We’re here! Oikawa’s final, super long, miracle set to Iwa before crashing into the tables is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE moment of Haikyuu. Talent is something you make bloom, indeed.
    “I take Venmo, don’t worry babygurl.” I fricken loved Pat’s shit talking! So glad he got so invested in this show. He lowkey been one of my faves ever since his hot takes in the Game of Thrones reactions.

    We all have to admit that both teams deserved to win.
    Fun fact: Oikawa says that wins the strongest team, not the strongest player, but all together. And what do you think? In the last rally ALL of players in the court touched a ball. So yeah, this time Karasuno TEAM was a little bit better.
    Also, after episode 25 you should watch second OVA about Seijou (you can find it on RUclips), it's really touching and shows the other side of Oikawa himself. Sending possitive vibes!

    Aww when Nikki, Suraj and Rana hugged, I felt that haha. But man, when I saw how Oikawa immediately got up after falling and almost slipping, I felt so bad. Obviously everyone works hard, not just him. But the fact he's such a good player and yet he never got to the nationals during the last 6 years just saddens me :(
    And holy, #4 Iwaizumi! So he's their ace and he's good at receiving too. He seems to be good at other sports too (or at least better than Mad Dog). He has a solid personality and he can put his teammates in place. Like what else can this dude do?! Season 2 definitely made me like this character more.

    The best and most painful part of that last point was that Oikawa’s positioning and read of that play was perfect, just like the last time that they played. The only thing that messed it up was that the ball was tipped at the net.
    That moment that you do EVERYTHING right, but still lose...that's a different type of pain

    • @samuel_moreeira
      @samuel_moreeira 7 месяцев назад

      Main difference here was Hinata. First season he had his eyes closed and couldn`t fight at the net. Apart from that, all things were the same in the last rally, Hinata being able to see the best path for the ball was what gave them the win. Of course, only talking about the last point, the whole team was important for the win.

    • @averynordbye2227

      What I find crazy is every reaction I've ever seen know one has commented on or mentioned that it was the exact same play that ended the game only this time hinata succeeded. The whole premise was the first time they lost was because hinata couldn't fight in the air and fixed that with the new quick allowing him to do so resulting in karasuno winning this time

    I have been waiting for this episode/Season 2 battle, FOREVER, without a doubt is it the most thrilling, crowd roaring final point in this anime so far. Everyone goes CRAZY during this and the whole thing is AMAZING

    I wonder if they are going to react to Aoba Johsai ending, if any of the Patrons told them. If not, I don't think any of them are Haikyuu Fans.

    MEN, this is ten times more funny with people supporting both teams! I already watched this but your reaction made me have the same feelings like the first time i watched this. Can't wait to next episode, the emotions are there and the anxiety for what comes next for them! Thanks for your amazing reaction! 💜
    Also, if you're this excited for a match like this.. y'all don't know what awaits in season 3 and 4!

    I've said it once and I'll say it again, watching Haikyuu is like watching a live game!

    y'all I love both teams so much, like seijoh fought so hard and I was so sad for Oikawa and Iwaizumi like they fought so hard, but I was also so proud of Karasuno and how far they've come. Bittersweet. My top two moments have to be when Oikawa pointed to Iwaizumi and threw the ball to him, and when Hinata hit the winning point like my jaw dropped. It was awesome

    People keep missing the point on everyone mentioning that Oikawa saw through that attack. Oikawa knew Hinata was going to hit it off the block. That's why his arms were already in place. The ball would have gone out if he just hit it over the block. It just the spin that the ball gets is unpredictable and bounced of his arm in an unfornate (for Oikawa) manner. Off course, Hinata gets all the credit for forcing this situation
