- 6.4 Scat pack swapped engine with the hellcat supercharger OEM setup. Engine eventually blew 💥 having the right tuner is a critical part to success especially without performance parts
Nothing wrong with power adders on R/T 5.7 and Scat Pack 392 hemis, just don't go too crazy with the boost on the factory bottom end. Probably be fine if you keep the boost under 8 psi. My brother learned that the hard way back in the day with his '89 Pontiac trans am (LT1 350)
Yeah my recommendation was 4psi max but the engine eventually went out and needed a complete rebuild.
on the back of the supercharger of the two harness one goes to the map and the one of the fuel pressure pum where it is connected or it must be modified
One of the best questions i've been asked..since it's not a hellcat pcm only one of the 4 map sensors is actually being used. The other 3 are just acting as vacuum plug. The stock 5.7 and 6.4 pcm does not look for the rail pressure.
ok and how do you know how many pounds you are running I have the same 6.4 engine but I don't know how to graduate it to 6 pounds
@@clave13alvarez48 yeah thats where the hp tuners comes in you'll get the readings when you convert it from kpa to psi for the map sensor. So you'll have to hook up your laptop to hp tuners in order to measure it. I also have the diablo tuner that measures it and that's more convenience since you don't need a laptop.

No i'm using the 6.4 oil cooler, once he upgrades to the hellcat he'll get it. I think he's planning on keeping this setup for the next three years.

That 5.7 is gonna blow, can't handle the supercharger.
I personally would prefer the Magnuson out of all of the options available but the cheaper option has been the most popular so far. Yeah I've seen plenty that blew the motors already proper tuning is key.

5.7 is wayyyyy stronger than 6.4 less likely to blow dude😂😂

Yeah it definitely will help make sure you have an excellent tuner because the three I've dealt with were all headaches to the point where I'm just gonna go back to doing engine swaps with factory tunes or Magnuson kits that come with preloaded tunes. These tuners will make mistakes tuning and try to shift the blame in addition to them charging close to $2,000 for tunes and wanting zero liability when they give out a bad tune that destroys the engine smh

@@sofianeboumahdi7388 a Hellcat blower wouldn't make a 6.4 1000 horsepower lol you'd need twin turbos for that.
