I was in junior high that season that Nathan Thurm came on SNL. Every Monday morning in English class my friend and I would talk to each other in that manner. Such great memories.

Martin Short is always one of my favorites to watch on Conan.
He is so sharp-witted and O'Brien can hold his own probably because they are friends outside the show

that character used to have me in tears laughing.
It wasn't only Marion. He based it on these politicians and lawyers whose TV interviews reveal them to be someone who can't take any responsibility and are always changing the subject or deflecting blame. It was the same sketch every time but still was very funny.

Marty felt SNL was to intense ...meatgrinder ...much different than SCTV ...he had to adjust in New York ...came to understand audiences on SNL loved the John Belushies, Gilda Radner because they grabbed audiences right away (from his book CD 💿 I Must Say )
