Luz, I cant tel you how much I enjoy your podcasts, somehow there is so much love and beauty about your ways. I am South African, but lived in Holland for eight years and loved all of it. Your access to great materials is fantastic. Here in sunny south africa I go for bright and stark colours, would so much love to share my designs and mixtures with you, just don’t know how , perhaps one day it will work out. I had a factory and my creations sold very well. Am now retired but still sew my entire wardrobe and curtains, carpets, cushions and table cloths, even arty bowls for decor. Anyway, just want to thank you for a wonderful contribution to my life.

Thank you lovely! your comment really got to me! thanks so much!, I would love to see what you make, I will try to figure out a way for all us to share our work with each other. I love Ankara fabrics, I use them often, some of the prints are so large I don't think they fit me but the colours! I love the colours!. I am so glad you are enjoying my content! thank you for being here 😁❤️

Enjoyed the video and your tips 😊. I make everything i wear so most of my materials are yardage of fabric. However with Upcycling that will add even more options 😊

This was so interesting! I've been heavily into crafts( especially for Ren Faire) for a long time and have an big interest in very unique clothing, etc( because of my love for Ren Faire, lol😂). I would love to make my own clothing but I'm kind of impatient and the thought of taking all the time with the measuring, patterns, etc, just makes my eyes cross, lol😂- but I think upcycling could be the perfect creative outlet for me with my clothing- now I just have to get a sewing machine and learn to use it!😂😂❤❤❤❤ I loved your idea of upcycling a laptop bag- I've got dozens of Juicy Couture and other brands of older handbags and laptop bags that I purchased years ago on ebay, when I discovered how cheap you can get them- now they're all sitting around in totes because I don't use them, and you can't get much for them on ebay, lol! That would be the PERFECT thing to do with them!❤

I am so happy you enjoy the video!, Yes I think upcycling is a much easier craft form for anyway who wants to make their own clothes, if you are going to get rid off any item what is the harm on trying to upcycle it?. 😁
And yes, making laptop bags would be a great upcycle!, go ahead and have fun! ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you for such a lovely comment, I really appreciate it!
