Man has the right to forage. Wonderful production Dietrich! That Stanley no.8 has seen many's the sod. Fascinating viewing, book of flies, nice touch! God Bless.
Thanks surethingsfly. Always Tight Lines.
My Grandfather Master Kelly got a nice wee mention helping to get the fishing rights. He was headmaster in the old schoolhouse at the bottom of the corkscrew.
Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment.
Remember as young boy in late forties having to leave the car and and everyone had to walk to other side and wait for car to cross over
Was that before the bridge was built?
Excellent Historical. Very Ironic That 100 years after the Famous Court Case in 1906 about the Salmon Rights, The Fianna Fail Government Closed down the Drift Net Fishing on the Donegal Coast Affecting The Many Islanders the Worst, This Became an EU Directive in
October 2006 despite Fianna Fail having a Donegal Politician in Brussels,
Thank you, Mike. Take care.
Most Welcome Dietrich. Blessings of Peace & Good Health.
Membership of the EU has cost this country over 200 billion since its joining in fishing alone. IREXIT
+FlameBoy227 I agree.
That old guy who helped build the bridge glad he lived in real ireland
Paddy Bonner, surely a great character.
@@DietrichBohnhorst lovely interview he must be gone now? Hows the fishing going is your river geting much salmon
@@martin7955 Sadly, he is gone. Haven't fished the Gweebarra this year, but maybe tomorrow is the day.
I wish it was still free to fish the Gweebarra but I understand that anglers money aids conservation and sometimes hinders illegal fishing.
Yes, unfortunately the "good" old days, particularly regarding salmon angling, are over.
