The way the body was constructed and design is so good that there's no seam since it's hidden perfectly by the shape of his suit. No Spidey fig out there does that
Try Tough 74 resin. It is designed for figures. Does not break (you have to try to break it to break it) and it holds articulated poses, does not powder or turn to dust at all.
I want to learn how to 3D print too but can't decide between SLA or Resin (mainly due to the toxic chemicals and cleaning process). But what I really want is to learn how to sculpt in Blender
So I have my set up in my garage, though I know that's not an option for everyone. My buddy got the same printer around the same time and he's been using water based resins so he doesn't have to deal with toxic chemicals either. He's had his own issues with that, but he's made a TON of tabletop figures so far. So clearly it is working for him. And yeah! I've made some stuff in the years that I've been doing 3D stuff, but I've only really used Fusion 360. I've tried other programs, but nothing seems as intuitive as that program for me. Though to be fair I've been using Fusion 360 the longest so maybe it's hard to unlearn. But yeah I really do wish I could learn Blender too!
Wow! I'm excited! I now have a Mars 3 Resin printer, so I hope to learn to use it in the future! My brother cleans out estates, and while doing so, came upon an unopened Mars Resin Printer and and unopened cleaning station. The estates owner told him he could take it or throw it away! Rich people! lol! Anyway, my brother brought it over to me last weekend, so I have a printer. It will be a while before I try to learn to use it though, as I'm rather occupied with other things just now. That Spidey looks GREAT! I've actually draw that particular movie Spider-Man, so I can vouch that it's dead-on accurate! The details are so crisp looking! Gotta say though, I'm a bit worried about zip ties being the source to hold parts together, but I'm eager to be pleasantly surprises, man!
Dude that's an awesome find! Can't wait to see what you end up making(once you get the time!) And yeah the modeler did a fantastic job with the model. Even if the figure doesn't come out perfect, certain parts could end up being awesome replacements!
So 3DZipGuy advertises them as 1/12 scale, but I think it will be closer to 7 inch scale once it's all put together. Though I've also considered shrinking the pieces a bit to be closer to the Marvel Legends size...
Awesome video, so informative and easy to understand. Question: Instead of printing again and again, why didn’t you just sand them to fit cleaner? Also what printer and exact resin did you use?
Thank you so much! So for the majority of my content I try to make things as easily repeatable as possible because while I know I could work at something to make it exactly the way I want, I'd rather make something that anyone can easily do as well. And the printer and exact resin are linked in the description! I hope that helps!
So if you check out my previous version you can see the one I tried printing in PETG. Now even though the model is specifically designed to be able to be printed in an FDM printer, I wonder if maybe something was wrong with my settings? Otherwise maybe I should try a smaller head since I was using a standard 0.4mm nozzle so a 0.2mm would probably look a lot better.

Dude totally! The modeler did a great job with it. He's got some other really neat projects in the works too!
Yes! Resione. Exactly.

Sorry for the late reply, but I'll look into it!
thank you@@ComicallyToys
Was the figure print to be 1/12)scale(6inches)?
I think I’ve seen photos where he’s printed in 1/6th scale(12 inches) and 1/10 scale(7 inches)
So 3DZipGuy advertises them as 1/12 scale, but I think it will be closer to 7 inch scale once it's all put together. Though I've also considered shrinking the pieces a bit to be closer to the Marvel Legends size...

Could you test a PLA one??
