hi dr ryan, if i were taking the inbde in 2023, do we still remove affected dentin? in question number 3 i would answer using a spoon excavator specifically to avoid removing affected dentin since more recent studies have shown that affected dentin has potential to remineralize. kindly advise, thanks
Yes, there is a direct correlation between an increased amount of filler and a reduction of polymerization shrinkage. I don't recall saying anything about that in this video, though!

I would still answer this question the same today. And trust me, you can still remove affected dentin with a spoon excavator if you’re not careful!
