Great quad as a transition from the Emax whoop, so plug and play. Nice tutorial on the transition, basically its ready to go. Flies good 👍
I like the frame and would try a custom build with bigger motors.
This looks just like the analog version, even the video footage has break up!

I'll share this video in some beginner forums as it seems this would make sense if you got the emax whoop.
Emax has a special place in my heart lol I learned how to fly on the tinyhawk3 RTF kit. In my opinion, if you're able to fly indoors/close proximity with a tinywhoop in acro mode, you could fly just about anything. I feel like this is for someone who wants to skip the tinywhoop and jump straight into freestyle/cruiser. I'd highly recommend learning on a sim first though since you'll probably end up breaking the frame

One of the first quads I ever got was a Tinyhawk2 analog and it was a blast. I beat the crap out of that thing and learned a lot trying to upgrade and fit it.
It was a fantastic open prop quad to learn with but I hated the fact they used proprietary components.
Sure wish they would put out a Walksnail version😢

Great video on how to transition from the whoop to the freestyle. As a beginner it's hard to find content like this. All the experts out there only give advice that helps them and not us.
I had the tiny hawk and I wasn’t a big fan of it for flying in doors. Always wanted to get the tiny hawk freestyle version but never got it since I figured I’d get a 5 in for outdoors. Eventually I might get one for some micro freestyle and change the plug to a xt30 for 2s batteries and walksnail setup.

That is a really cool quad, it does make the transition for some a little easier. I'm curious about what people think about HDZERO. HDZERO and Walksnail make their components exceptionally small and lighter when compared to DJI, but is the video quality there? Some have liken it (HDZERO) to improved "analogue." I have neither system, so I'm curious at to peoples thoughts.

I really like 3.5 and 3 Inch quads, they fit in every backpack and you can fly pretty well with these

Is walksnail better? And is it smaller or bigger than hd zero?
They both have their own place...HD zero is geared towards racers (super low latency) but it can support a walksnail VTX. Walksnail has better range/penetration and imo better video quality. HD zero breakup is similar to analog. They both have a vtx suitable for tinywhoops
Walksnail is better for most people except for racers.

I would of gone with hdzero but the googles were backordered so I just went walksnail, glad I did!
Nice to see that they made a hdzero variant. We have 4x analog tinyhawk whoopkits at our club for beginners. This kit seems alot more durable because of the hdzero vtx. Have been a lot of issues regarding the analog vtx. It is directly soldered to the fc making it britle on the solderpoints, making the video suddenly drop out when for example using throttle above a point. With this hdzero vtx its wired. Another thing is the goggles that can be hard to get focus, but you can mount the screen to the radio. The nice thing with the screen is that you also can ride along with others :)

Looks like the FC probably is a standard bolt pattern unlike the freestyle 2

Love this quad. Worst thing is no buzzer pads on the FC. You’re stuck with d-shot
buzzer adds weight which is a downside on something this small

There's already a tune for this on the EMAX support page. Click the link to the EMAX product page and the link to the tune will be near the bottom. I don't know what you mean by "customize vtx features". Can you explain?

Emax are keeping the promise with their pledge to HDZero and that’s nice.
Flying proximity really benefits from the low and constant latency HDZero brings. So I guess it makes sense for these types of tiny kwads.
which goggles work with this drone? do they only have the transponder 2 hd goggles and the hdzero? is there an in between?
You can use the VRX as well with any goggles that take HDMI in.
My freestyle beeps when connected to a battery and flashes red and blue. When I connect to BETA Flight it does the same thing. When I click arm on my radio it flashes blue really quick but does not start the propellers to fly. It shows that its connected to my radio as I can move it around on Beta Flight. Is there something not right? Do I need to reset the quad or try something out? This stuff confuses the heck outta me.
Your channel order is probably not correct. The EMAX is RETA while the Betaflight controlllers are AETR. You'll need to change the config in the quad to match the controller.
Ok I’ll look into that. Is there another drone option that might be a step up from the freestyle you would recommend? I see EMAX has other options but I’ve also read there QC is lacking. Something still compatible with BETAFlight and my cheap Recon Goggles 😊.
Hey guys, can somebody tell me if the Tinyhawk iii is compatible with the DJI fpv remote 2 and the DJI goggles v2? Planning on starting off with fpv and already got the remote and goggles from a friend. Wanna start of with a cheap copter.
This is HDZERO and not compatible with DJI.

Not possible. You need the new one with ELRS.

Frsky is not supported anymore in many newer drones so it's best to upgrade to an ELRS transmitter.
Love the build of the quad but no walksnail:( and why 2 1s and not 1 2s but for the rest amazing quad maybe i schould give hdz a try
It's so the people that had leftovers from previous versions could use batteries they already have.
