  • FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER THE EXACT SHOW HAS BEEN DISCOVERED!
This was Elvis' 11th Season at the Las Vegas Hilton (19th August - 2nd September, 1974).
This footage was probably filmed at the Dinner Show (DS) on the 2nd September- as this was the show when Elvis reportedly wore the Dragon suit for the first time (the Tiger suit had it's debut the previous evening at the DS).
The Midnight show from the 2nd was of course the infamous "Desert Storm" concert...

There’s MILLIONS of original artists who are totally unique and completely original, but underground music NEVER gets airplay on radio, because most radio is all record companies promoting very ‘safe’ acts to make money, so you really have to dig to find original artists, because most are unknown that most Americans. But there’s ALWAYS a very vibrant and totally original obscure bands making fabulous records and most folks don’t dig for music. They are happy with whatever radio chooses to play.
But thanks for your comment and I really agree with you! He was a True original!

Of course it's Elvis, no other entertainer would even attempt such a cheesy act as the Karate idiocy in this video, but it IS HILARIOUS! I never realized Elvis was quite this cheesy and corny. Probably the drugs and alcohol, it was horrible what fame and the greedy music biz did to him.

Bob Judd Give me your address and your country and I’ll knock the knob house out of you. Elvis, who was and still is one of the most famous people in the world, was not in the least cheesy pal. He just dared to do what he wanted. Elvis was so worked out on the shows and the movies that he took the drugs to make him go to sleep but needed to wake up in the day and so forth, prescription drugs didn’t make him a cheesy man. He’s a great man, one of the best ever. So go on, reply to me and I’ll fly over and give you less than two teeth you scum.

Some comments here are incorrect. Elvis earned his black belt after the Army, being tested by Ed Parker who had a concern about so many celebs getting fake black belts, and harming the image. After long testing in a Memphis school gym Parker said "he's rough, but he is a black belt". George Klein speaks about it on his radio show. By the way one of his Army instructors was Slomanskey, so his instruction was the best.
Also, I met Bill Wallace a couple years ago, and before a training session with him, asked id Elvis was a true black belt. Wallace said he was, but Elvis did'nt do any sparring because he couldn't risk injury- a lot of people employees and other people were dependent upon him.
If you have want to make your case to Wallace, and tell him he gave Elvis a promotion simply for a Caddy that is the best place, not here. Wallace trains across the country and is very approachable. Go ahead and tell him what you think. I would like to be there please.

@@bestvideosofalltimes3884 More is made of the myth of Bruce Lee than can actually be proved, but to say Elvis was better than him is taking sentiment to the extreme. There are stories that Elvis had his Black belt handed to him easily in exchange for cash and gifts. Any 8th Dan or 9th Dan he allegedly had would have likely been honorary. Only the most sentimental fanboy would believe Elvis was some sort of martial arts king

Yeah, there also a lot of American multiple time martial arts champions who apparently won American worldchampionhips. Probably the same way Elvis got these degrees. Fact is that there is footage of Elvis training, where he wears a red belt, and is simply fat. You can't be fat and well trained in martial arts at the same time. Maybe if you're a big guy, like a 100 KG+ heavyweight. But Elvis was of medium height, like 6 ft. Fit people of that height aren't fat. Ergo, Elvis' belt in karate was BS.

He got his black belt in 1960. That was demonstration

@@Braxtonsport He got it in 1965 (started doing karate in 1960) and then rose to 7th degree. Looking at his physical development, his degrees were BS.

I guess you can't take any criticism or non-heroism when it comes to Elvis. It were just some points I found reasonable. Give me a decent source where it says he had a 8the degree black belt. I've been practicing different martial arts all my life since I was 7 years old. But everyone who's watched martial arts can tell the moves aren't legit. Maybe he had a time when in the army and a bit after that, but nothing legit. And what we see in the video is nothing but ridicule.
