@DroopyWorm Don't be a sheeple and believe everything you hear from these keto docs, they keep on changing their "opinions", and just about each keto self proclaimed expert on youtube and the net can't agree on many things such as dairy, when and how much to eat and how much water to drink. It is a new science relatively speaking and we are the guinea pigs. Question everything you hear and read before buying into things strangers tell you are absolute facts, which seems to be the case with all these keto "experts".

My boyfriend died from a myocardial infarction right in front of me September 16, 2019. I started CPR and when EMT got there they used a defibrillator but he never responded.
He had a few of these symptoms a few days before he died.
I blamed myself that I didn't push hard and fast enough during CPR even though I've been certified for 20 years. He was an active alcoholic and I finally came to terms that his lifestyle was what killed him (copd, cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure)
    Sigh

Hi! My husband had heart attack 2 years ago today!!! He survived it and is doing well!!! When it happened I found him on the floor at 2am . He was unconscious and his whole body was drenched in sweat!! Before he went to bed that evening he was complaining of extreme heart burn and took an anti acid. He had no pain. After I found him I was able to get him awake and then he started vomiting!!! I knew he was having a heart attack. An hour and a half later he had two stents in his heart!!! We are all so thankful he is still with us and doing so well!!! He'll be 60 in July and it will be a great celebration!!!

It took me almost 16 hrs to realize I was having a heart attack. I had pain in my back just below my shoulder blade. I felt an increasing sense of disassociation as though I was watching myself go through the motions of my life. I felt the very slightest pressure on my chest after 16 hrs, and drove myself to the hospital. I was 41 years old. If you ever find yourself finding excuses for why you are not having a heart attack, you are probably having a heart attack.

stomach ache, that's exactly what happened to my mom. No other symptoms at all. She had it for 2 days and finally she said something about it so I took her to hospital and she was having a heart attack. when she got to cardiac care every nurse /doctor that talked to her asked her how bad her chest pain was.....when she said she only had a bad stomach ache they all looked at her like she had three heads!! That was over 20 yrs ago but I'm glad to see at least some doctors now recognize the fact that not all heart attacks have the classic symptoms.

At age 42, I had a heart attack/triple bypass surgery. My father had just passed away, I was separating from the ex hubby, I was starting a new business and I wasn't sleeping well. One day, I had a pain radiating up both sides of my neck -- just like if I'd slept wrong on it, so I blew it off to just stress and sleeping wrong. But it wasn't going away as the day went on. A dear friend made me call the doc and she heard something in my description and sent me to ER. TA DA -- heart attack. Pay attention to those odd, not normal symptoms!!! I wouldn't be here if my best friend hadn't pushed me to call my doc

I was 49 in 2004 when I had a heart attack and didn't know it. I didn't have any pain at all. I was doing my pre-trip inspection on my truck, trailer and load, having to stop to get my breath every 3-4 steps. I got in the truck and drove from Indiana to Philadelphia and back. I was OK as long as I didn't exert myself. It was 5 days before I admitted that something was really wrong and went to a clinic, then took an ambulance ride to the hospital. I watched the monitor as the Dr. placed 3 stents. I was told that the back side of my heart was dead because I farted around too long. I just didn't know what was going on. I took the medications for almost a year and then chucked them all. My treadmill results kept getting better and I've not had any heart issues in the last 16 years.

I just got out of the hospital last week with these symptoms and now wearing a heart monitor. I had all these although the cardiac docs said I didn't have a heart attack, I have SVT now. Still not feeling right. Keeping my eye on it. Mad because I already deal with other illnesses which mostly subsided (except MS) when I lost weight 2 yrs ago on Keto. Too much stress in the last 6 months and not eating right again, I feel may have put me in this position. Now they want low sodium. (ugh..don't take my bacon). :) When I had the pain in my jaw and back shoulder blade start with shortness of breath and heart rate at 200...I knew I'd better call 911. The fatigue (already have MS) was so much more then I usually dealt with about 4 days before this all came on. No ambition to do anything. Sweating esp. at night, stomach pains and nausea. But it was the jaw and shoulder pain and extreme shortness of breath that made me pick up the phone. Now...gotta deal with this too. thanks for bringing this up Dr.Berry.

You may have saved my life. I had had chest pain all day & was concerned due to being in the worst stress of my life (death in the family), but I put off going to the ER, esp since I had been there last week due to swelling in my feet. I was watching YT's last night deciding whether to go in & yours talked about fatigue (most don't). I had had severe fatigue for 3 days, not sleepy, but fatigue, feeling empty, depleted, could not do the simplest tasks.
Your video was the deciding the factor & I went to the ER again. Well, I was not having a heart attack BUT, I had very serious Potassium depletion, which I have now learned, is just as deadly, maybe moreso. I'm so thankful that I watched this b/c honestly I would never have gone in just due to fatigue. I just thought the fatigue was a side effect of new meds I'd been put on for the swelling. Well, they also leached all the potassium out of my system. I feel lucky to be alive today! I'm a very educated & quite medically knowledgable 58yo F, but I've never even heard of Hypokalemia. Doc said I may have made it a few more days, but if not for your video, there's no way in hell I would have gone in & told the ER "I'm fatigued". Thank you for your content. Guess I'll have to subscribe now :-)

Long story leading up to this point of silent heart attack: 5 years ago I went to the emergency room for wild palpitations. A barrage of them started one evening and wouldnt let up. Had an EKG, but was not ruled a heart attack. Of course I went to a Cardiologist for follow up after, they said there wasn't a reason for the palpitations (not anxiety, still have them all day everyday, they said they could give me meds to control it but I declined). Last year, my daughter, an EMT, asked to see that file in my records which I pulled up on line. It read that there was a probable myocardial infarction in the past but no reference point to compare it to. My point, finally....
*I have No recollection of any episode/symptoms outlined in this video. Talk about silent!

New onset fatigue is the insulin induced coma after lunch. New onset shortness of breath is because all that food is using up lung space. Jaw pain is from all the chewing to get the food in my stomach that is displacing my lungs and causing insulin induce coma. Vomiting is my body rejecting that huge meal. Do I have to explain stomach pain? And...we all know what meat sweats are. Basically, I have a heart attack every time I eat pizza. I'm just funnin' with ya. Thanks for advice, Dr. Berry.

a few days ago, when i was doing my early morning prayer, i suddenly felt discomfort or light pain around my left chest, my armpit also felt sore. probably because i did a pull up a day before and the fact that i never do one could be the cause.
this goes for about 2 days then i got myself thinking for college and get anxious for a few days, leading me having a bad concentration, stutter, sweating and light shaking. i managed to stop the anxiety this morning, the pain in the chest isn't as bad now but i can totally felt that my left chest is heavier.
im 17 and i've had the more severe one a few months ago because of chronic stress, the one that felt like a throbbing pain but i didn't get myself checked up.
earlier before that im not sure if it's coming from the heart, but i felt like dying due to an intense emotional response that had me gasped for air.
i also didnt do much of an exercise, if not very rarely. i'm 163 cm and 50 kg. severe anxiety and chronic stress starts early august 2019 and i gradually get better starting the beginning of january 2020.
those are my history of chest pains and i hope i can get myself checked up soon because i'm really worried.
what do you think of this?

Oh boy, my Mother had a heart attack 2 years ago. She has asthma so when she was having trouble breathing at night we thought it was the problem. So she wasn't sleeping well which she blamed her tiredness on. Then one day I saw her left foot was swollen. When i asked about it she said it was nothing, that she is just getting old. She finally got so short of breath she wanted to go to the ER. Well, she had had a silent heart attack and was in severe Conjestive Heart Failure. No pain at all. Totally silent. She had a cardiac output of 20%.
So, two years later after getting treatment and a pacemaker/defibrillator, shes doing well. Scary!

Dr. Berry, I have only recently been made aware of a cardiac risk that I have and have never known about before--high lipoprotein (a). I have been following your advice and getting very good results from my ketovore lifestyle. Now I'm seeing physicians making claims that a whole food, plant-based diet is the only thing that might mitigate the risks of this common and frightening genetic condition. Any response from you would be greatly trusted and appreciated!

I've been to the emergency room about 5 times in the past month with heart attack symptoms. Every time they say not a heart attack. 1st time they said it was anxiety, the 3rd time I was dehydrated and my sodium was low. The 4th time they said I had costocondrytis. Finally I found out Im vitamin B 12 deficiency, pre diabetes, my liver enzymes are elevated but they still aren't sure why. I think I'm also deficiency potassium, magnesium and calcium. I had no idea that my multi vitamins are incomplete. Trying to get my doctor to refer my to a diabetes specialist. I can't drop any more weight because I'm 6 feet tall and I only weigh 173 pounds. I quit smoking cold turkey 2 weeks ago I borrowed a diabetes test kit and got new strips. . Need prayer and any tips going forward from here. I just stopped eating sweets except protein drinks, and occasionally a sports drink that is like vita water loaded with vitamins.

I don't understand why I have these and how someone knows for sure what to do. I really don't want to always run to the ER. I'm talking chest pain, up my jaw and down my left arm and in my back... yet they said it was not a heart attack and don't know what caused it.

I had a minor surgery in February with local anesthesia. Torn miniscus in the knee. I wasn’t nervous and this was my third.
Once the surgery was over, doctor left the operating room and I was so tired, sleepy. The pain in the back of my neck and shoulders and jaw like I was grinding my teeth, it was awful and then the trembling, nausea. This hit me all at once. I noticed the nurses, like angels, holding me to slow the trembling another was squeezing my intervenus bag. I couldn’t count how many nurses were around me. The doctor had left the room so one nurse was on the phone with him. He was telling her what to do, what meds and how much. I was not frightened just annoyed. They got it under control and I was fine. They brought me to the recovery room and then it happened again. But this time I felt so agitated and nervous. Once again a crowd of nurses around me while the head nurse was one the phone getting instructions of meds etc. Once again under control. Believe it or not, it happened a third time. My ECG was not normal. They called the cardiologist. She looked at the results and I was supposed to have a follow up but coronavirus hit us. No news yet but I’m still here. I don’t know what the numbers meant on the monitor it was connected to but it went from 42 to 147 in seconds. I didn’t see it but the nurse told me afterwards. I still don’t know what it was but the nurses were saying they were infarctions. They did a full check, vitals, blood, urine, etc. and sent me home. I’m 63. Sorry about the long story but that was my experience. Whether they were heart attacks or not, I don’t know. We are still in lockdown so I don’t know when or if I will ever know what happened. Almost 3 months later and I’m still here so I guess it wasn’t serious. I follow Dr. Berry because that is where we get honest answers.

I get the sudden fatigue, sweat, and nausea at least every other day. Just hits like a bomb. Been through testing, and no one has answers. It does feel like I'm going to blackout when it happens though. Usually will happen while cooking, or as soon as I finished eating. When it doesn't happen from eating it will include resting heart rate going from my normal 70-80 to a sudden 140-160bpm. Most uncomfortable feeling ever. After 30 mins or so it goes back down. and slowly I begin even out over the next couple hours.

I think I had my first hot flash last night. I was starting to get overheated in our kitchen, getting warmer here. My heart started pounding, my face & chest got red, then like a flash of heat the sweat poured off my head and then I was hit with extreme nausea & dizziness. It lasted in total like 45 mins before the nausea abated. Then I had cold chills and put my clothes back on! That’s happened recently at night to me as well. I’m almost 47 and my periods are irregular. I recently had an EKG & Echo Cardiogram which were fine. Just minor issues, put on propranolol. So I’m hoping that was a hot flash I had. On the other hand, I can’t even take HRT and if those are going to start happening I’m scared.😳I had no neck or jaw or back pain (other than my normal).

He then started waking up drenched in sweat. Exhausted all the time. :(
